Being an NRI, I was thinking to invest in India, but that make no sense.
I don't use maid, I don't use drivers. It is shameful that we pay them pittance because there is no concept of minimum wage in India. It is exploitation. The day minimum wage comes into effect, the wage of a maid will be more than your salary. There are no jobs, so government is taking shortcut "at least they will get some money". More than maids and drivers, we need breathable air, roads without potholes, drinkable tap water, cities, towns and villages which are not eye sores.

I am here struggling with daily traffic, bad roads, corruption, pollution, harrasment, bribe etc even after paying same tax % as them. Due to the family situation I cannot move out, anyone has a chance to settle abroad please do it now, Indian taxpayers will be definately harassed and exploited more in upcoming days.

At-least someone is taking the lead on this. But truth is no one out of these 1% will speak up. Reason is clear the population (majority won't care and govt has their votes). This is also true that some privileged benefits in India for salaried class as well as things/services are less pricey. Sums up to silence. But in return of 30% people should be given some social security. At the end people who can, will try to work abroad till taxes are normalized in India.
