Deffinatly one of the better review videos I've seen👍🏼 you took time to explore the inner options of the arpegggiator. The other boring you tubers always do 2 things...... 1 play the same arp sound through the whole video, 2 speed up arpegggiator and slow it right down... Then move on to another feature🙄. I'm happy you show your understandings of options and their place in the synth. We'll done mate 🔥🙏❤️👍🏼
Great review ! You didnt't talk about the step automation though, which is for me a great feature ! Basically you can enter any value for all the knobs, per step. Which is pretty amazing.
I know it's prob been said a million times before but I can't get over he's called Justin 'delay' and he works for 'reverb' it's all I think about when I watch this Cool synth for very tiny hands 😎✌️
Just got mine. A tonne of fun, thanks for explaining the sequencer a bit better. Still haven't figured out if you can just do a straight live recording though?
I love Reverb but this “first look” (not a review, but more “let’s play around with it”) video doesn’t really do the UNO justice. Check out the other vids online and it’s really impressive what this thing can do.
i watched many vids ab uno synth and just 3mins in this one and its just as good as best demos as i heard, feels more in depth about controls than most i saw
Returned two of them . One damaged during shipping and was not operating correctly, the other was faulty out of the box and returned it as well. IK tried hard but this is a no go. I was hoping for so much more but.... One thing i did like about it was the multiple lanes of motion sequencing control. Pretty powerful for the price. Having to use software to get under the hood also defeated the reason for buying hardware in the first place. Also not totally analog as it is described was a bummer.
I don't get the appeal, it sounds like old arcade game music. like centipede or the original Mario brothers game music, not a real a fan of techno music!
Don't get why anyone whould nee dthis in the age of amazing Arturia synths and Volcas. Both are so much more fun and solid, plus volcas cost much less and sound better. I mean, this thing is not bad, but I don't get which people is it aimed on.
Because it's something different? I've got 2 Volcas and 2 Boutiques and still want this thing. Have never liked any of the Arturia stuff esp. not the new DB "Impact."
NO, NO, NO - this quasi-synth again. It seems it is in every youtube vlog this summer. It looks (sounds) like a beginner level VST or like an Android synth app nobody needs. This synth could be a cutting-edge toy in 1994, but it is 2018 now...My alternative: old netbook + Free Sonigen Modular + free Viking VST (incredible analogue emulation!!!!!) + free B-Line 303 + free LMMS + midi controller for 50 USD = great supersynth and groovebox 100000 times better than this UNO.
I mean, my basic bitch ass uses *nothing but* beginner level VSTs and iOS apps. From my perspective, this is an excellent, portable option for entry level analogue synthesis. Only gripe I have is that proper USB midi in would be nice.
Have to say right out of the box this sounds great!

Definitely the worst spelling I've ever seen.

Word!
Late to the party but in fact you're able to edit up to 20 params per step.
This video is one of the bests about Uno Synth.
What a fun piece of kit, great review. Can't wait until mine arrives.
How about sync the lfo or delay with the bpm's?
I know it's prob been said a million times before but I can't get over he's called Justin 'delay' and he works for 'reverb' it's all I think about when I watch this Cool synth for very tiny hands 😎✌️
but that is not his real last name, is it?
@@ivanvalencia5626 No, his real name is Justin Sustain.

Motion sequencing is nice to see.
Is it limited to 16 steps?
Sounds nice -- would gladly trade my Volca Keys for this.
What do you guys think? Do you recommend it for a first timer? I'm looking for equipment to get started.

i buy one its not a space ship like you thing, you need to get exprience
i watched many vids ab uno synth and just 3mins in this one and its just as good as best demos as i heard, feels more in depth about controls than most i saw
Great demo thanks . Am liking this synth .
this video is sick, i just bought one of these and this breakdown helped me figure everything out!!
how can i use UNO with Logic Pro? any idea?
You need to get an audio interface to record the synth into the DAW
awesome demo
A slightly upgraded volca keys, reflected in the price. But can you chain sequences?
It looks like a fun piece of equipment, I just really hate those flat button-less keys, I'd spend a few extra bucks to have more tactile feedback
"a few extra bucks" would be lot for something like this. It's made as cheap as possible
well it's their first hardware synth, correct me if I'm wrong, there might be another one in the pipeline
Thank You! I bought one from Sweetwater.
Works as good as any portable synth.
i bought one + the Uno Drum
That Stranger Things arp lol

I am still amazed a true VCO synth sounds like an analog modeling synth.
Because you're listening to a youtube video's audio?
Why does this look like a korg volca
Price on Reverb 10 000$
I don't get the appeal, it sounds like old arcade game music. like centipede or the original Mario brothers game music, not a real a fan of techno music!
That's like saying an acoustic guitar doesn't sound like ac dc
This may be an analog synth, but the design just doesn’t invoke any excitement. It does what it’s supposed to do, that’s it. :|
Buck3n haha bro, just isn’t for me, Obama or no 😂
for this price the synth is good, but the design is very bad and the ugly plastic knobs looks cheap
and why is there not an aux out?
Don't dislike the look or the knobs. No aux out is a bummer.
Is the featured headphone/line output not an AUX out?
Looks pretty 80's to me... Not sure how the knobs look any cheaper than anything else int he $200 and under club.
because its cheap for analogue synth
Why do they sound all the same these days?
The filter seems a bit too tame, or maybe you just didn't demonstrate it's range much..
Don't get why anyone whould nee dthis in the age of amazing Arturia synths and Volcas. Both are so much more fun and solid, plus volcas cost much less and sound better.

i completely agree. i own all the volcas and a bunch of arturia stuff
Because it's something different? I've got 2 Volcas and 2 Boutiques and still want this thing. Have never liked any of the Arturia stuff esp. not the new DB "Impact."
Enoch Dark good point, i guess I don't completely agree with OP lol. this thing is pretty cool
arturia stuff is great though
Enoch Dark but real deal u gotta get all the volcas people like to say the sample is the best one but they are all unique and nifty
Be careful! Ik hardware are very weak in material and construction! Wait for discounts season.
you knows it
Is this another scam like the DSI Evolver with an AD/DA converter?
I’m a GarageBand guy...so kma
Long Johnson GarageBand half a lot to offer you can afford reason GarageBand software the old logic software
ik multimedia is cheap and faulty... not worth it for me
Stranger Things? UNSUBBED
Why? Too trendy? God forbid something popular ever mixes with hipster tastes
First?
12yo?

cool story bro
But all of that is software... Not even close to a HARDWARE synth.
I mean, my basic bitch ass uses *nothing but* beginner level VSTs and iOS apps.
