- After defeating over eight thousand enemy forces near Mazhadan castle, it's time for reflection...
The Death-Match campaign continues on as forces from all of Calradia close in our on tiny Kingdom. Can we turn the tide against the odds?
Welcome back future Khans, Emperors, Jarls and Sultans of Calradia! We're continuing to show our late-game campaign including huge battles, and winning(most) of these battles by deploying advanced tactics to overcome superior enemy forces. Our entire channel is dedicated to helping players improve their field command and if that's your desire, or just want to see huge, dramatic battles, you've come to the right place.
Please comment, like and subscribe if you're interested in more of my ultra-late-game campaign, that may end up ending in utter despair, but that's the challenge of it. Any challenge where success is assured is no challenge at all.
My campaign is an extremely late-game campaign where I am resolved to give no peace to these scum Kingdoms attacking me - seven of the eight have been at war for years, with only Sturgia at a neutral stance. My family of warriors is now large though and with what remaining strength and valor we can must, we stand against the map of Calradia.
Join me on this adventure if you like huge battles, the use of advanced tactical maneuvers and intense Bannerlord gameplay, and subscribe to my channel if you want to follow along. This campaign is very lightly modded:
For my main, death-match campaign, I only use four mods:
Lord Retinue Uptier(Makes the enemy forces stronger, much less peasants and lower ranked troops)
www.nexusmods....
Improved AI Troops(Also makes enemy lords and their armies tougher by giving them a higher daily xp rate. This means you'll routinely face armies with HUGE numbers of the highest tier units, sometimes four or five times the normal amount in vanilla Bannerlord): www.nexusmods....
Death for all: This mod allows you to set the rate at which nobles die more often. I want both a harder challenging late-game but also a more realistic game. If you're cut down with a massive aserai two-handed axe, you shouldn't just be injured 99.9% of the time. It's a very customizable mod so you can just a little more death or set the death rate so high you get several deaths every battle. The number I often like is '10', some deaths but not a massacre of nobles...
www.nexusmods....
I also use the Dismemberment Plus Mod: It's highly customizable and works seamlessly with the new beta(and versions back to 1.28). I thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy carnage!:
steamcommunity...
I've also used Realistic Battle Mod in the past and highly recommend it for Ai and battle realism BUT I find the pace too slow for my taste and the AI is actually rather predictable after a half dozen battles. Still I wanted to put a plug in for it here, it's a GREAT mod and highly configurable. www.nexusmods....
Much of the music and inspiration for this and other videos in the channel are inspired by Epic History TV - probably THE best channel on youtube(and the internet for that matter) covering the Napoleonic wars. With amazing work Epic History TV takes you through the dramatic and incredibly story of Napoleon covering all of his most famous battles. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I got addicted to this game and found this page now im addicted to both and my girlfriend isn’t happy lol
Then a little friendly advice, go take her out, make it a nice place, don't mention the channel or game for an entire day, and remind her how special she is. I mean it, videos will always be there, this gal might not be...
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions one step ahead already got plans this weekend
Fuckin same 😂
Sacrifices must be made
Can relate..except it’s my wife 😂
This man is the reason I don't just make an infantry line and an archer line and mash it against the ai 😭
Love it, brother. This game is MEANT for tactics, more than anything, it's a battlefield sim first and everything else second...
Love it in this game when you see one of your troops fighting off 4 dudes and you come in and save his ass. He's backing away from 4 enemy then his king comes out of nowhere with an axe and fucks everyone up then runs off
haha, yeah others have pointed out the funny perspective from that kind of angle. Great stuff!
Another great battle where you snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. When they had their force spread out and massing on your aggressive troops, you calmly pulled back even though your troops were being overrun, that exemplifies your reading of the ebb and flow of these battles.
Thanks - something I've had to learn through failure. Sooo important to be able to accept that you need to change something... (in Bannerlord AND life)
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions Couldn't agree more with that sentiment my friend.
How you stay so calm blows me away. I'm over here watching you run at a pack of enemies with low health and a mostly red death spam just freaking out. Lol. The way you handle these fights is impressive to say the least. The battle was heavily in the enemies favor and when so many other people would have panicked and made poor choices, you just calmly switched up your tactics and kicked ass. As always, top notch stuff.
Also, congrats on 10k subs! I can't wait to be able to congratulate you on your first 1 million and say that I was here when you had 5k subs. Lol.
If you look at the bar at the top, this battle wasnt even that favored for his enemies. Only the first wave were good units. And some of those already werent tier 6. Khuzait are always annoying to fight because they give you a lot of casualties, but the battle itself wasnt even near impossible
I concur, not impossible BUT difficult AND we always have to limit casualties fighting against the entire map...
This is another really great series. It's fun to see you work inside a campaign setting and not just a battle setting.
I have to wonder if you arent purposefully bringing this campaign to a close in order to usher in the start of a new campaign. If so, it's not a terrible idea, if just to bring closure to this chapter of your content creation journey.
If you're legitimately interested in winning this campaign, while complying with the rules you've set for yourself, let me know. There are some things I would remind you of that would, I think, save your conquest.
If not, that's ok too. I'll save those "knowledge nuggets" for my own future videos.
I understand that you've set a standard for the campaign (and videos) that demands ever increasingly oversized battles and it is not reasonable to try and take ground while also seeking those battles.
Love your content brother. Your dedication is inspiring.
Thanks to you Im managing to win way harder fights than what I used to do, but from watching your videos my standards are also skyrocketing, and faster than my ability. Today I was fighting 200 vs 450 against khuzaits on an open field and lost/wounded like 70 units and I tought "kind of meh, should have done better". Given I did have a lot of cav and horse archers myself, so the open field wasnt particurally bad, but the lack of chokes does make tactics harder
I've yet to face any big Khuzait army. I'm over the other side of the map chewing/choking on endless Vlandian Cavalry. Facing massive horse archer swarms is giving me "the fear" lol. 😂 kinda looking forward to it.
@@Warhead-haggis I used to do the same, mainly because I like the battanian culture perk, and then I have to take battanian fiefs, but now I made a run with khuzait culture caracther to change it up. Also because I need practice against horse archers
You're wwelcome bud.
Excellent history knowledge, bravo!
Appreciate that bud, cheers!
That escalated quickly
Completely unrelated to the video, but today I fond a legendary noble bow for sale on a playtrough where Im playing as a horse archer. And it just feels so good. It might be entirely placebo effect, but Im happy
Dude! That's so cool! Congratulations!
Only ever found like one or two and we've lost them to companions dieing lol
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions you can take a companions gear away when they die in the after battle loot phase. Assuming they died in battle and not of old age.
But in my case that's not happening because I'm not giving it to anyone. It's mine
@@alex2005z Yeah I don't blame you
I didnt know sean strickland made bannerlord youtube videos
Hahhaa "see you guys, basically the thing about the khuzaits is".....
lol, amazing how often I hear this, maybe we're related...
I would like to thank you I'm better at Bannerlord because of you
You're welcome hoss, I love playing, and if my game play and narration style helps guys get better, we're all winners. Cheers!
love this game
Me too!
Your big battles and tactics videos have been awesome. I’m playing on the ps5 and was wondering if I can get big battles or have a long campaign like yours.
I don’t think the ps5 supports nexus mods so battles will be big but not as big as his game cause he has mentioned he has a mod that increases the troop count that can be rendered. Basically you will just have more waves of reinforcements if u get a large battle like his
@@stealthninja1352 thank you
Yeah not sure what your limit is per battle 200 per side? But these battles DO require very strong compute power and a strong graphic card. I'm on about a $1500 PC and it's smooth almost all of the time...
So does this mean you'll take prisoners now? I think I've got half of Vlandia in prison at the moment lol
You mentioned you play the battles live what’s ur twitch or what do u stream on
He means he is recording his voiceover as he is playing the game. Which, believe me, is very impressive. It makes editing much harder and it's incredibly difficult to speak coherent thoughts while trying to strategize and fight for your life.
Yep, our mutual goldfish friend here summarized it well. Later this year I may stream but right now 'live' means narrating live. Live in full somday...(and YES it's hard to do both!)
Are you running any mods in this campaign?
Listed in the video description. Usually 4-5 yeah.
Im assuming your weapons came from smithing?
Mostly, at this stage we also have our pick of Legendary weapons like two handed drilled axe, Legendary Glaive, Legendary Rhomphalias, even a Masterwork Falx, which is pretty much as good as you can smith. It's a mishmash of both.
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions ive tried smithing i just cant get into it lol thanks for the reply
@@RockinPGI just smith for my own weapons late game. You level it up insanly fast by buying tier 5 and 6 weapons and smelting them. It does cost a ton tho
If you're doing it right it only costs 20k to level to 225 blacksmithing and it gives you infinite money (if you want to go that route). The true cost is that it will take 3/4 of a year (in game time) to level blacksmithing for the first character of your campaign. Subsequent characters will level much faster.
@@angrygoldfish9607but thats boring. I would rather do it in a week of in game time and spend a bunch of money
6:13 holy shit they basically committed suicide
damn that was a bloodbath
Yeah, fians >> khans guards if you can bottle them up
