    Please never quit youtube, I love your videos so much and I can't say how many times I've watched your videos over so I can get motivated to play classes that I usually never want to. You got me into the conquest paladin and the war cleric.

    Spring Eladrins are my favorite. Ally in a bad spot? Boop, not anymore! I always rp it to look like turning into a falling leaf pile that blows to the teleported spot.

      My wife is playing an Eladrin right now and she is definitely enjoying her. Eladrin are just a better version of the phb elves.

    I personally love the Eladrin to me they represent the emotional aspect of what it means to be a fey morally whoever they are mostly good natured, which doesn't define the fey in it's entirety I also love the form changes and the teleport ability and they are the closest thing to a primal elf the ancient ancestor subrace of all elves and these elves were not fooled by lolth the drow goddess who tricked all the elves into taking a permanent form and I love how emotionally opposite they are to the shadar Kai which I'm guessing is sins favorite elf subrace

      I like them a lot from a lore perspective. As corellion, the elven god was a shape changer and hated being in one shape for two long, being an elf that can shift yourself so much would be the favorite.
      I imagine them seated like higher than the high elves wood elves or the rest of the elven peoples. They have such a strong fey connection that it surpasses the others. There shift-ability is the closest to what corellion would do in comparison to the other elves.

    I love the idea of creating an Eladrin (or Shadarkai) that has access to the Fabricate spell. You can pick two tool proficiencies each day and use them to utilize Fabricate to your heart's content. The Ultimate Crafter. Forge Domain Clerics, Wizards, Clockwork Soul Sorcerers and Bards using magical secrets can access this playstyle.

      I like where you’re going with this. I would love to do the same with poisoners kit and making poisons cus I just love poison even though it’s very difficult to use.

    This is a fun race. I’ve got a player playing a spring eladrin shepherd druid in my Descent into Avernus campaign. The party is currently doing bounty hunting quests for another eladrin that went mad being in Avernus too long.

      I love descent into avernus! That’s a fun one. How are you liking having an eladrin ? Do you feel there over tuned?

    • @Dream-Reaver
      @Dream-Reaver 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@TheSinisterheroes It’s interesting to be sure, they had an arrogant personality in the beginning but after some time adventuring with the party they have mellowed out. I don’t think they’re over tuned mainly because I have two other players playing shadar-kai. So I’m used to someone teleporting around the battlefield. It works out in the end since most devils and demons can fly, teleport or turn invisible. They are currently level 9 and I haven’t had any trouble challenging them yet.

    If i were to play this race, I'd play a Spirits Bard. Just seems very... whimsical and random. Or Wild Magic Barbarian or Sorcerer.

      I like the eladrin wild magic barbarian. I feel like there some deep connection between emotions and the seasons, that cold make a cool character

    One of my characters’ sayings is “even elves shit.” Eladrin seem to me like they wanted to get back to the more traditional and mystical elves that weren’t quite approachable.
    I see them as a good opportunity for gray or alternate morality from the rest of the world.

    He punished them by locking them out of heaven, because they did a ritual locking their form and essentially removing his ability to shape-shift.
    One of my players is a changeling Moon druid, I'm having Coraline potentially adopt her in an attempt to get some of his power back. Occasionally giving her a blue glow that gives her advantage for a short time when she's shape changed often.

    • @TheSinisterheroes
      @TheSinisterheroes  4 месяца назад +1

      That’s one of my favorite parts about Corellon. That he was tricked into having a form and he’s still pissed about it.

      @@TheSinisterheroes I would be too. I'm sure he lost a significant amount of power, considering he was known to represent essentially everything.

      @TheSinisterheroes  4 месяца назад

      You are probably right. I don’t remember anything stating his power changing to what extent, though I imagine you’re right.
      Thats also a big part of why I like him. All these things that happened and he’s still pissed he has skin 🤣😂🤣

    Are spring Eladrins usually druids?

    • @TheSinisterheroes
      @TheSinisterheroes  5 месяцев назад

      They could be I definitely see a strong reason for it. Though they can be anything you want. I figure a lot of elves like the wood elves or the eladrin tending to lean more Druidic than wizard

      @@TheSinisterheroes It's because of the multiple, spell slot-free, uses of Fey Step. The Fey Touched feat, one of the highest rated half feats of the game, only grants a single free teleport per long rest. Instead, Eladrin start with two free uses, and the number scales as the number of their proficiency bonus increases. And then the player can essentially tack the charm person spell, fear spell, or damage onto the teleport, kind of making up for not getting the 1st level spell gained through Fey Touched. However, unlike a variant human or custom lineage character starting with Fey Touched, the eladrin get the full elven kit of features and abilities along with the souped up, extra tool/weapon proficiency from their trance, to boot. High and wood elves already start off stacked with features, so with eladrin getting Fey Step and extra proficiencies, they outshine typical humans, gnomes, dragonborn, etc. Don't get me wrong, though. I'd love to play an eladrin character in a campaign that allows them.

    • @TheSinisterheroes
      @TheSinisterheroes  9 месяцев назад +1

      I rarely see them in games, so I was un aware they were popularly banned. Comparing the fey step to the fey touched feat is a pretty good bases. Though I always felt as that feat was better suited for full casters or half casters. I can see where you’re coming from. The special effects from the fey step I do enjoy, though I don’t find it overpowering on its own, I do see how they can surpass other species and make them seem like a superior character as a result. That I can agree can be hard to swallow.
