These local places clearly mean a lot to their communities. From the grease being given a police escort by the mayor to Solly’s building being moved during renovations.
Saw this year's ago and to this day it still cheers me up,amazing stories and brilliantly produced with great music in the background, the farmer from texas came across like a lovely human being..
OMG the ultimate episode of the "Burger Scholar Sessions"!!! This was FANTASTIC! I think it would be perfect if they'd combine these on-location shoots of the real deal, OG, burgers and interviews with the proprietors along with George recreating them in his apartment. Would be next level.
The biggest thing this great documentary is missing is George himself. Too bad the Travel Channel won't re-release his show "Burger Land" that came out in 2012. Was a great show.
lol i found the sound to be a bit phased out, so i tried to put it on mono and it went ded. then i understood what was up lol, you phased a mono signal back to stereo phasing them away, and inverted one orso, so they cancel each other out in mono, for the algorithms not to be able to detect them , just like the cropping does. pretty cheeky mate, this gave me a lot of insight on how to trick these copyright spiders :) also, modified atkins the man at 8:06 is talking about, we call that keto these days :P
90 years old and eating butter burgers all their lives that shows you that cholesterol gets a lot of blame for heart attacks I say stress is the main culprit.
Its such a well made film and with humour... It does make me laugh though about some of the "special" things they have made..like the "special pickles" at Billygoat...and the "special ground"....to some extent yes the fat content and size of the grind count, but really its not that difficult to make really good hamburgers...... I think the Meers, Oklahoma one looks the best.... Its a shame to see some of them still using processed yellow cheese though...... The steamed cheeseburger looks interesting.
wtf? how come when you go full screen only the middle part of the video shows up and fits the screen good? never seen a yt vid do this usually it keeps the same aspect ratio. yt getting smarter
Yeh...was a Jeep Cherokee...I'm from Memphis and this is the typical crazy stuff that happens down there. Was a pretty big deal actually. It shined a spotlight on the historic Beale Street in the process and in a positive way. Glad you saw that minor flaw. I got a big laugh out of your comment.
Uggh! I haven't even tried it but the peanut butter burger makes me want to scream in frustration. Every time I see it slathered on a beautiful burger patty, I cringe. Please someone tell me that it is delicious. It has to work well, they've been in business forever.
That date that was mentioned(?) in this segment is not correct. It was in the early to mid-60s; My father worked for Western Auto in Memphis at this time and he ate at the original Dyer's. Just the way the South was back then.
I am a big fan of George Motz but two things I didn't like about this film: 1) The production values were terrible. Looked like it was shot on early 2000's phone in SD, and 2) Should have dropped one of the more obscure locations that most people will never visit and included Apple Pan in LA or Pie 'n Burger in Pasadena CA.
steaming burgers does NOT make it healthier lol. this guy trying to sell you some pills. i love burgers of all kinds in moderation but this angle is just plain dumb!
It's '' Dyer's Deep Fried Burger '' !! NOT a Deep Fried Hamburger !!!! There is NO HAM in those Deep Fried Ground Beef Patties !!!! Just Ground Beef !!!!
Thanks for the recommendation jolly
I'm here after discovering George from the Burger Show. The man is an ... OG burger god.
R.P. Rosen yes
I'm here the same way... I love that show. I also like the hot ones too. That's a really good RUclips channel.
Me too
Just got here today ! Glad i made it before 2020 ends!😆
Too bad the Travel Channel won't re-release his show "Burger Land" that came out in 2012. Was a great show.
Thank you, Mr. Motz!!
That Joe Moranto from Meers burger, still running the place today at 89. He's walked the walk as well as talked the talk.

It's *MY* sleepover, Jacob, and *I* get to choose the movie.
Where's the sound??
Brilliant to watch.
No made up drama or loathesome clown presenter - real people telling their story in their own words.
Brilliant Doc. Brings a smile to my face, and is kinda calming to watch.
I approve this documentary 🍔🍔🍔
Thank you.
Amazing George!!!
Hope to make it to Memphis, TN to get to Dyers. 91 year old grease has to be wonderful tasting.
I would like to go there as well

150 pounds of butter... A week. A burger joint that serves more butter than your average french restaurant, that is fucking nuts. And impressive!
when this documentary came out, shake shack didn’t exist yet
I love how understated this doc is. Just human stories told through hamburgers, which is ultimately what George Motz is about.
The biggest thing this great documentary is missing is George himself. Too bad the Travel Channel won't re-release his show "Burger Land" that came out in 2012. Was a great show.
Burger Land was great . I have even went to a few of the places he visited .
OLD SCHOOL AMERICANA ...I LOVE THESE PEOPLE
I hope these places are still around after last year. Thanks to all who made this documentary happen
Apparently the Guberburger place has closed down. Saw that in a video from the guy that did the documentary.
This is such a good documentary. Great job and of course I'm starving now

I’d sell my soul for a single butter burger

There is no better quality aviable. George himself said that the dokumentary was shot in 480p. On his own amateur Sony Handycam.
