I just LOVE Rick's documentaries -- the first I viewed was A Hotdog Program ('99) and I watch it every year around this time of season. He's a great filmmaker with a great eye for nostalgia and whimsy and what makes the United States "America"...
My ex-husband's father used to owned Bissell's Meat in East Liberty. Long gone now. The butcher block that was used was in the butcher shop was brought over from Germany. It was listed in The World Guinness Records as the biggest butcher block at the time. Anybody here ever buy their meat there at one time?

Why do people say about Scotland and Ireland in Pennsylvania? They came to the United states and went to the deep south. Pennsylvania is all German and swiss and Dutch?

I love all the segments. My favorite one of those is Showcase BBQ. Very funny guy.
I would love to see a part 2 showcasing other businesses as well. Pittsburgh has so much to offer.
I want a chipped ham sammich! Extra Miracle Whip on some Town Talk bread.
Yeah, you got that right!
They don't make tahn tok no more.😞
The first guy was spot on. Kielbasa is Pittsburgh staple. Great Vlog sir. The background music reminded me of Kennywood.
Great video! Loved the meat travel tour of the greater Pittsburgh area. Nice people...great food.
Great show!

Watching sausage and kielbasa get made is so off-putting, but my god do I want some good homemade hot sausage after watching that.
I wonder if they have fresh goats' milk at Salems market?
I wanna go to Ricci's, but I'm 2 hrs. 41 min. away!😭
Sad for the lambs....they know not what they will do
Do you get the same price for the ones with black heads? Seriously, does lamb all cost the same or is it all over the place like port of beef?
