I never heard Ansbachs dialogue about the foragers and killed them out on the field, then got invaded by Moore and wasn't able to get the Syrup on my first run. I was gutted when I learned you could get Florissax as a summon. After finishing the DLC I speed ran my way back to the quest on NG+ just to get her. Totally worth it. I love her and I love how she actually talks while fighting. Makes her feel like a real companion and it makes me wish the other Ashes would do the same. I predict the next FromSoft game will have an even greater emphasis on summons and give them personalities like this.
@Ultimaniacx4 they seriously need to allow a new game plus in the dlc that doesn't require you restarting the base entire game

Fromsoft usually gives written guides to game journalists who get early access, that's how the ds1 dlc was found and made public.
Thiollier says the concoction can put a dragon to sleep. Florissax prays to Placidusax at night saying she forgoes sleep for him as a form of worship. So we the players can connect the dots and Test Thoilliers claim that his potion can knock out a dragon. Which it can.
Just explore the world before fighting main bosses. You'll complete most quests naturally by just exploring, getting every item from enemies too, and talking to whatever NPC you come across. That's the "natural" way. Basically play like a conpletionist and you'll be fine
Or just look it up online. Someone figured it out
Honestly if you've played a fromsoft game before, you expect these kinds of quests

Just did this, thank you. Quick tip tho, you don't have to kill the drake or meet igon to give her the concoction, just pass time at the grace until she enters sleep.

I skipped the step where you get Igon’s furled finger and then going back and telling the priestess about him. Still got the incantation and summon.
That women wasn't at the altar when I arrived and I killed Bayle without even knowing that NPC was a thing, I'm guessing I'm locked out?

Yup 👍🏼 this is the only downside to me for FS games! A 100% completion is absolutely impossible since weapons can be dropped, yes. BUT! What about incants? What about spells? What about AoWs? There’s so many things you CANT duplicate 😂 I love Elden Ring but damn it’s infuriating to think you can’t 100% a run on either the base game or DLC 😮

The whole rune breaking by exploring as punishment is such bs! I missed the Black Syrup quest part!
@@otherprisma7354 I thought the same thing but if you keep talking to Moore he’ll just switch up dialogue and give it to you so you can resume the quest. If you killed bayle before this point like me then you are locked out
It’s been proved that the rune breaking isn’t the trigger! It’s been proven that entering the shadow keep/burning the tree is what causes NPC questlines to fail 👍🏼

Do you have to summon Igon? I have seen various sources say that you have to, but you didn't make any explicit mention of it, which makes me believe is not necessary.

For some reason mine skipped those dialogues and he’s asking me what to do about his mom. Also the other npc only had dialogue that sent them down to St. Trina and now they won’t give me the sauce.. and I’m on ng 😵💫 Was NOT wanting to do all this over again on ng2 but looks like I’m gonna have to.

Don't go to far..if you rune breaks it messes up his dialog.

It’s trash. It cancels out all other buff and anything you eat will take the lighting effect away. Did a whole NG + just for this disappointment of an incant

if you lit the tree with messmers flame the quest is over, most NPCs quests end here if you progressed to that point.

Lean questline
The Dragonbolt spell is trash, it doesn’t stack with golden vow in fact it cancels it out so you don’t get a damage buff and anything you eat nulls the lighting affect so the incant is more or less useless. And if you use it on co ops they will get pissed at you for canceling their buffs. I’ve literally been kicked from co op lobbies just for using the spell lol. From soft relay gave us the 🖕🏽 with this one lol

From soft just keeps slapping us in the face with these useless Dragonbolt incants. I did a NG+ just for Dragonbolt of florissax and come to find out it cancels out most other buffs and doesn’t bolster damage dealt like golden vow so it’s literally the second most useless incant other than vykes Dragonbolt. All the Dragonbolt incants are useless and from soft is laughing their asses off at us rn
Your video would be much better to watch if you did not say "go ahead" so very, very often. It's almost enough to make me turn off.
