One of my favourite poems 'High Flight', by an American who was inspired to write it when experiencing a high altitude flight in a Spitfire. He was later killed in an accident while flying a Spitfire. A former test pilot I used to go sea angling with, once confided that of all the many types of aircraft he had flown, the EE Lightning was his favourite - "It could accelerate like 'sh*t off a shovel"! The first time I heard a sonic boom [apart from a whip-crack] was when a pair of Hawker Hunters made a shallow power dive over my head - circa 1953.

How was that whip crack, was the dominatrix any good?
Thanks for posting. The in-flight photography is good, but the script and the Larry Adler harmonica music is very old-fashioned, even for 1964.
Excellent vintage videos. Could you upload vintage films about british helicopters?
00:34 what a way to treat your ground crew 😂

Love it. Thanks for posting.
