As a parent myself, I think a big aspect of parenting is being on the same page with your partner, it makes it sooo much easier and your child understands clear boundaries. Chris and Courtney definitely seem to be this!

What Chris is half joking about with bringing her to business meetings is actually an awesome thing - my dad started bringing me to his meetings when I was in the later years of elementary school and continued through college. By the time I was 12 or 13 I could actually pitch and contribute and it has helped me immensely in my professional career because I learned from experience very early on. The first year of my life was spent in my parents’ office and they made the decision for my mom to stop working when I started answering phones.
Baby girl is now 4 months - hardest but best thing my wife and I have ever achieved in life.

Father of two here (boy 5 y o and girl 2 y o),so I speak from experience.. and most of dads will agree, that becoming a parent is the biggest blessing in life, that moment when you have your child in your arms and you look at him/her,... You make a vow ,that you would die to protect them... it just fills my eyes with tear when I remember those moments .. the kid naturally pushes you to be better, to be the example, and seeing how much you grew (not just in body size) I'm sure you will be the best dad ever to her... Happy for you, I wish you all the best, and I wish you a lot of calm nights.. you'll need those once she arrives :)

Congrats guys! My daughter is coming in a few weeks too and I'm just as excited. One thing I learned after already having 1 kid, is don't feel guilty about the kid not having the healthiest meal or too much screen time once they're older. A brain reset is nice when TV keeps them busy and what kid doesn't love chicken nuggets for a quick lunch

- No one has the moral right to inflict serious, preventable harms upon others without their consent. Existence brings preventable, guaranteed harm & is imposed without consent. Because a child cannot consent to being born, the default should be to assume that consent doesn’t exist and that no action should be taken on the child’s behalf. Just like how it’s not okay to r@pe an unconscious person just because they can’t consent to or refuse to participate in the act.
- Everyone experiences at least some suffering, and some people experience disproportionately more suffering than others. Creating a life is inherently unfair & inconsiderate.

- There’s no reason to create a child that’s for the child’s sake. For a potential child, birth doesn’t solve any problem that it doesn’t first create. All positives in life, such as love, happiness, or good food are based on fulfilling needs, which get created by birth. Creating a life is creating a host of needs for no need.
- A nonexistent “person” cannot miss out on anything good since they don’t exist & the nonexistent have no needs or desires, including the desire for life itself or any of its pleasures.
- For the betterment of humans, the environment, & other sentient beings, humans need to go extinct. No one is being harmed by the extinction of humans since no one will exist to experience said harm. Who will care that humanity is ending if no one is around to care?
- On the point directly above: Just because an outcome may be unwanted doesn't mean that the arguments are wrong. Even if you believe extinction is inherently bad, this does not justify the undeniable truth that reproduction violates the child’s consent to being born. This is an appeal to consequences, a logical fallacy.
- Just because procreation is natural & societally accepted doesn’t mean it’s morally good. Diseases, natural disasters, & famine are all natural too, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. This is an appeal to nature, a logical fallacy. Slavery has been around for over 13,000 years. That doesn’t make it moral or ethical.
- None of the nonexistent can wish to be born, but plenty of the living wish they had never existed.

My two cents for you both as a proud parent of a seems like yesterday baby but now a well put together, head on straight, LOVES TO TRAIN, strong as hell 24 year old young man. To start with for baby girl "B" early years and beyond is..."traits are hereditary, behaviors are learned!" Little things like a passed down laugh,giggle,body feature, sneeze,etc are traits, what she hears and sees from whomever she's around wherever impacts/ programs her behaviors and forms her identity. Cherish each other for each other and especially for "B" even when times are tough. Enjoy each moment as it flys by but keep your eyes and ears open all the way. Team Bum all day! Oh yea and train like hell and shut down the hype and kick Vissers asss for 6th "O"!

My daughter is 2 now and reality didn’t hit until she was born, for both my husband and I. It was so surreal. Once we brought her home from the hospital and it was “all on us” was when it really sank in lol.
We love her so so much and it’s the best gift we’ve ever been given.

I just turned 33, and I've been a dad for 14 years. I had my daughter in high school, so i was terrified. Waiting until your stable financially is an obvious cheat code, and you two seem like genuinely good human beings, so you'll be fine. The only advice I give to new parents is PATIENCE. Patience with the baby and patience with each other. Teamwork is key! You guys got this! Good Luck..

I'm a dad to a 5year old now, when cbum sain about not having to be perfect etc it reminded me of what i told myself before my kiddo was born: "I'm not gonna be the best dad ever but im just gonna try be the best dad i can be". Thing is the moment where the penny drops and you go oh im a parent doesnt really exist even now i dont feel like i have a clue what im doing. Hardest thing i had to do as a dad is admit i need help. At the end of the day it isnt about being perfect or never screwing up its about making sure that at the end of each day that kiddo has everything they need and feels safe.
My son turned 10 months and my Fiance is pregnant in the 6th months with our daughter. Man I'm not gonna lie to you, when you're not prepare to be a dad gave me such an anxiety because you want the best for your childrens and I'm far away from knowing what i'm going to do with my life. But man when i see this little dude smiling back at me and wanting to come and hug me is the best inspiration a man can want and need. I think becoming a father is where a man truly grow up. Be blessed Chris, you gonna be one hell of a good father

First off, congratulations to both of you for the wonderful journey you are fixing to embark on!
Secondly, I was once on board with the no tablet / limited time (limited time wins) but don't look at it from the "spend all day on TikTok" point of view, but from the "I'm gonna learn a new language" point of view. It's all about what they are doing when they are using it.
Only advice I would give as a father of 2 is be patient you’re gonna have days were you feel like you’re not doing anything right but there’s no perfect way to be a parent I believe you guys will be great parents and wish you guys the best of luck God bless you guys
We trained our kids to love outside more than TV so we just open our back door and let them go at it in the backyard. It wasn’t too hard since we’re not fans of screens either but our kids know that if we’re on an iPad or laptop, we’re working and it’s just for work. Their phone time is a privilege for them for just a few minutes at a time. You guys got this in the bag.

Girl Dad here too-its challenging at times but overall the best thing in the world. The worry part is correct. Start looking for a daycare is all I can say. Some are booked out a year. It's stuff I never thought of.

The thing about the screen time is difficult but something I always think about is how the CEOs, developers, and core shareholders of these social media companies keep their own kids off of their phones and especially off of their apps. And if anyone knows the risks it's them.
Enjoy it bud. I have 3 daughters myself. There is no better feeling that having them look up to you for everything they need.

1. Y’all are pretty health conscious. Any fear of being an almond mom or will you be more liberal with what she eats?
2. Y’all don’t live near family anymore. Will they come down for an extended stay to help and bond with the baby? And thoughts on how yall will nurture your kids relationships with extended family since they’re half a continent away?
3. Delivery room playlist?
