I want you to know you have been an inspiration to your passion for planting I’ve learned a lot of the years watching you but not only that I know your history of being given 6 months to live years ago as I fight my battle with cancer that unfortunately I’m losing I’m 46 male and I’m on hospice for stag 4 cancer but I’m going to plant what I hope isn’t my last food plot of my life thanks for sharing your years of wisdom with us good luck this season
I m so sorry to hear that. If you have any hunting/food plots photos send them to me..Send me your address, my email is dmark1216@gmail.com.. We will send you some non_typical gear..Plus I will put your photos in a video.. Thanks Deb
@@DonMealeysHuntingChannel wow really thank you yall don’t have to do that I really don’t have many plot pics I don’t have a tractor I have to pay someone to turn my land and last couple years no rain in my area to make good plots illl send some of the plot I’m doing this year
Don i just love your fields they always look great prior to planting if you taught me anything i too work the ground and yes the rain helped i too have green flash all over thank you for your time.
Fun fact. 1 inch of rain on 1 acre/squared = 27,000 gallons of water. Triticale is a hybrid made from mixing the genes of wheat and rye. Come next spring, you'll get a very fast growing forage that benefits the tukeys as much as the whitetails. Good luck to you and Donnie both this upcoming season.
Looking good seems your critters will be well fed this fall winter and spring. Food plotting is expensive, time consuming but the way it gives back to nature and soothing to your soul makes it Worth it in the end.
Awesome Don, great explanation of your food plots. Your hard work is showing results. Very Educational Video, love the pointers of keeping records year to year. Keep on keeping on and Best of luck always and thanks for sharing your videos. Stay Safe !
I always enjoy your videos they are educational videos. Whether it’s food plotting or showing young folk what it means to scout for deer, woodsman ship is a dying art and that is sad. God bless
Seeing that green flash really makes you feel good after investing the work and money. Unfortunately a feeling most people will never get or understand…
THANK you,s DON , For the updates.. Been following you for many years now. My farm not that big, about 50 ac.. but lots of trees on a joining property of about 300 ac. Lots of wildlife that try to look after also.,,, I just planted m,y food plots about the same time you did, because I saw rain coming in. It starting to look good also. But like you said there going to be very hot next week. her in North Carolin also,,, a little dry but with the help of the dew it and some raine doing good.. Lots of deer and some nice Bucks so I am happy. Like you grew up in 4 room house and no what you talking about in the 50s, and those old outhouses lol. Take care and keep updating,, GOD BLESS.
Looking good Don. Hoping for rain here in Michigan also. It’s been a wet year right up until about planting time. 🙄 Like you say, there’s no way to control the weather. I’ll be putting down my cereal grains next week. Come on rain!!!
Fastest CASE tractor on Earth. We love you sharing with us! We remember ya rolling out the tractor before a rain, haul'n ass! You have a beautiful grandson, doubt he will ever drive a tractor like you! Had no idea ya were a hillbilly too, tell us about the mashing in the 'still some day. These memories must be preserved
Plots are looking good Don. Don i take two-inch pvc pipe and cut them a foot long paint them camo and cable tie three on each side of the ladder six in total to the ladder on my ladder stands then right before hunting season starts i will cut some small ceder limbs and stick them into the pvc pipes to hide the ladder and it helps with a little cover sent from the ceder limbs. my ladder stands have a gun rail around the top and i will cable tie ceder limber to it also, when i am done it hard to see the stand.
Hey Don I heard you say you’re having problems with water hemp. If you plant beans go with E3 enlist beans. You can spray them with gly & 24-d mixed together and it will smoke the water hemp and not hurt the beans!!! Liked how you did a lot of variety’s!! Good luck this fall
Almost didn't recognize you all cleaned up. Last time I saw you on video, you were wearing about a quarter yard of dirt all over you!! I'm thinking EFFORT equals RESULTS...what do you think??

Great video Don! I plant Destination every year , works beautifully , killed my biggest buck over it in 2020
Hopefully if the rest of the year is like the rain trends so far we will finally get a good fall food plot Year!
