Hell of a job man! I hope that guy truly appreciated what you did and how much you saved him? One of the reasons why I started watching you was your work ethic you don't give up and you're an honest person. That'll go a long way with repeat business and clientele. Stay safe and God bless. Tony
Hi Gavin, Always be True to Yourself. Most plumbers should remember this and practise it. You are a true Aussie who does 100percent plus, to make sure its the best you can do. Stay Safe my friend ❤🙏👍 Hi Mrs P 💐 🤗
Persistence is a well paid virtue...Word of mouth, reputation, and all around good guy doing what he loves doing...hats off to ya mate! 👍 From your sub from Oregon 😁
I can't believe I'm watching drain cleaning videos! But then no one believed me when I told them that I watched lawn care videos either. I'm fascinated. You do Great Work. I enjoy watching. Watching you from Biloxi Mississippi. USA.
Amazing work you do, saved this family a lot of grief from the other company that wanted a whole lot more to fix the issue and you helped with your experience and determination :) awesome video, thank you :)
Wow- lots of fun on this one.....dirty shower to boot. However, you saved this one lots of money with those brilliant tools of yours. The pipes are now clean as a whistle, inside and out! Well done Gavin. See you next video.
Have no fear Gavin is here. Another happy customer. 😊 It looked a little rough but you got it done, that one deserves a really tall frosty one. Great job Gavin. 👏 👏👏👏
Penetrator this is why I love you channel because you are honest with your customers and this makes me appreciate your profession. You are just a great professional at what you do.
Unreal clean up! That was so hard of a job with all the sediment and roots along with the busted pipes made this a tough one for sure, but you saved that man so much money! Great results for him!
I loved the epic battle. Sad about the single barrel since the sound of that thing running is a third of the joy of watching your videos. Have you ever tried using colored heat shrink tubing for your meter marker? I think it might make a more durable solution than the sticky tape.
Gavin great job of clearing the storm water drain saved the customer money on tearing up the yard instead u cleared the drain for them. Right O 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
We were snaking a sewer and I went to go get some fittings while my coworker was running the machine. When I returned and was approaching the house I noticed a cable sticking out the roof, here our machine took a bad turn and we were snaking out the roof vent. We got very lucky that we didn’t do any damage to the roof.but it was hilarious. Unfortunately my instant reaction was to run to the machine and I didn’t take any pictures 😞
The larger a company gets, the more they trade off of name instead of service. They have to pay for the employees and equipment and move away from providing premium service. This man here gives you that top-notch professional care.
One notable exception in London U.K. is a company called Pimlico Plumbers, the bloke who started it, Charlie Mullins, was brilliant, paid top rates to his employees, provided uniforms and smart vehicles, and his politics were top notch too. Note the past tense …. He sold his 90% stake for £145 million last October to the U.S. firm Neighborly 😢 I hope that your prediction doesn’t come true for this company too!
Yes they'll eventually have to make some repairs but you still saved them a ton of $$ and they can get by for probably a short time. Great work Gavin. It's really pleasant to see the pride you always have in your work. You are not one to ever try and take advantage of your customers. Have a great day from North Carolina, 🇺🇸
Gavin this is a career where you'd go nuts if you didn't have patience. Great job and I bet it didn't cost them anything like the quote they had and that will make them happy.
Another great video ! I could watch 2 a day ! I miss them on days you don't post. Video editing is a time consuming task, but your channels quality is excellent ! Definitely props to your production crew as well as you !
I could tell this job was important to you Gavin and you came through like a champ. Most of what solves a problem is doing the right work long enough to get the job done. And your clean up was good as well. I think you might have a customer for life. Good job. And you paid the price for this one too. Nice outfit. Nice.....
Great job as always, Gavin! You always give your customers 100+% and do the right thing. As I have said before, not many people give their all and do their best. Your reputation is golden with me. Keep up the great job. Take care, stay safe. I will be looking forward to the next one.
Chockered drains with roots and standing water. This will get messy ( mostly Gav's clothes) but won't cost the customer an arm and leg that's for sure. Surveying the means of attack and changing nozzles to advance your clearing of the different accesses and making new access where needed was key to clearing out roots and silt in the whole drain. Your analysis is a far better option for the customer. Fix only what needs repairing. Great job Gav!
@@nineoclockhero I meant in the days or week after the job was completed, I know the landscaping company had agreed to fix it but people promise a lot and don't deliver. Awesome kid , great work...I didn't read other comments, because I'm a drunken Irishman....hope you advised the customer to clear all the crap , stone's, plant's in ground...get a few gnomes or something. But enjoyable video 👍
Yeah big contractors aren't always the way to go. Sometimes these guys overestimate the price. If you bite on it, that's fine. They'll do it. If not they'll let it go. That's why they bid so high. But you did a good job and I bet you that homeowner was happy as could be good stuff. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
I plumb for a living. I have great luck combining snake , jetter and camera. But I’ve not had or seen anyone else have the level of success with these predominant closed drains as you do. It’s the entire reason I watch, this is like a learning channel to me
That big company failed their own name and reputation with this. Yes it needs repair but at least try to clear it holy moly... great on you for doing what you could and getting that small HORSE worth of roots out of there. This is what will make you the ultimate legend. Doing a better job than those big companies. Great job and be safe
Pleasure to meet you, and greetings from Canada! Don`t know how, or why I found you channel, but I have been watching a few of your videos now. As a Canadian, we just run our downpipes down the side of the houses, and onto our lawns. I am curious to know why all of your storm waters are run underground in Brisbane, or does it have to do with water reclamation in your country! Thanks for keeping me entertained friend!
Maybe it’s just tidier to look at, especially when in Canada your grounds frozen for three months plus, but in northern Australia it’s typically wetter, and thus muddier?
I enjoy the stormwater vids but must say: so often when going from 'upstream' the blockage seems to clear then re-plug, as if loosened roots simply flow downstream and clog again. eg around 33:50. I don't understand why the action doesn't change to the 'downstream' entry point once it's identified, so that anything loosened flows out.
Another washer line that was taken down for a garden? That was the last episode where we got out in the middle of an area of a beautiful garden and they had taken out a tree and taken down the wash lines should be interesting watching this one thank you
Wow Gavin that was one hell of a job . Also lucky you found the main problem as well that was not the roots lol . I bet you didn't get paid the same amount that the other company were charging .
Never seen those types of drains in my work in central Texas. I take it's to prevent foundation problems with conversations with Ollie Drain Addict. We solve it with irrigation systems here. Keeps soil from expansion and contraction. Stable slightly moist foundation. At 10 grand for replacement is crazy versus $ 2500 for an installed sprinkler system.
Im curious why you started in the far point and not at the road. My instinct would be to start at the road not knowing how bad the blockage might be. Expecting palm roots. The other plumbers may have felt that a new line was a " cure ". As palms will re invade the existing drain.
I couldn’t access from the street during the initial investigation. After clearing the blockage and seeing the set up around the down pipe it explained it all.
He's a lucky man in more ways than one. Not only did he get away with paying thousands, but this year is going to be another really wet one. Hopefully, you'll be able to save many more people, but look, you take care of that back!
Always love riding with you to the next job but I have to hold on to my chair because it's scary for going down the wrong side of the rode. Lol. Pete
Man, your company motto should be "Never Say Die or Quitters are Woosy's!" Great job!
Glad to see a customer with easy-ish access to all drain points.
