The beginning with the raccoon was supposed to be a parody of the beginning of the movie Cliffhanger. That’s an underrated 90s action movie starring Sylvester Stallone.
And the beginning of Johnny English Reborn is a parody of this movie LOL

Yes, I saw both in theaters. Since the first movie was what made him a star, that’s the movie that introduced me to him. When we went to see this movie, my sister’s friend died laughing at the rhino birth scene
The part where he just puts in hand into peoples plates without even making eye contact gets me lol. It’s like the part in the first one, where he just grabs the bow of the cello player to screw him up for no reason, as he walks by 😂

The opening was a reference to "Cliffhanger" with Stallone. The stairs to where Ace was with the monks was a reference to Rambo 3.
Enjoyed that. A suggested movie you guys might get lots of laughs from: "TOM JONES" (based on a 1749 novel and nothing to do with the singer), 1963, nominated for 10 Oscars won four incl Best Picture, two Golden Globes incl Best Motion Picture, three BAFTAs incl Best Film.
I always found it both odd & hilarious that Quinn said his mother used to do the eyeball touching/pushing thingy Ace did to torture him to him as a child.. WHO TF does THAT to their KID?!? 😂😂 And for WHAT PURPOSE?! *Quinn's mom:* "You eat all your vegetables or I'm gonna hold you down tonight AND TOUCH MY EYEBALL AGAIN!!" 🤣🤣☠☠
Mary Joy, Jim Carrey was on a skit show like Saturday Night Live before he started making his big comedy movies. It was called "In Living Color" and he was SO funny with a few amazing characters. Marian should show you some YT videos from that show.

I saw this movie in the theaters 🎥 when i was 10 with my older brother (R.I.P) right before the movie began they played the trailer of the movie when they showed the scene at the banquet with all the food on his face my laugh was so hard that people just started laughing at me lmao,picture the reaction you both had and the laughs ya'll had multiply by like 40 people at the same time lol😂. By the end of the movie Jim Carrey had become the favorite Movie Comedian of least half of the people there including me.Ya'll reaction to this was Priceless loved it😂
Yes, I was 7 when the first Ace Ventura movie came out in 1994 and my parents took me to see it and Jim Carrey became my idol ever since. I’ve followed his career from then on

Jim Carrey didn't like how Ace Ventura was scared of bats and other things of this film he didn't like. The guy got a taste of being a director among all the other acting work he had to do. There was other films he had to do too. Crazy.

Yes. this movie was so good as a kid. I loved animals because of the movie. IMO this is his best performance next to Mask and Living Singles

I haven't bought a single New DVD Movie in the last THREE YEARS!! There's nothing worth saving because the Main Characters & Plot stories are boring, stupid, & now 'CATER' to Lame Stories with NO MENTAL FIBER or SUBSTANCE we can identify with in real life.

Jim Carrey didn't like the idea of Ace having fear of bats because he thought it was out of character & suggested that he should have an allergy to bats instead.

It's pretty understandable that he'd be afraid of bats; before he changed his name to Ace Ventura, he was Edward Nygma, aka The Riddler. After serving his time in Arkham Asylum, he made a fresh start by devoting himself to animals, but still has a pathological fear of bats.
