- Hitler's Mercedes Limousine was originally thought to be Herman Goering's vehicle. It was captured in 1945 by American Soldiers. The rumor is one soldier shot the car several times to test how bullet proof it was. It was auctioned off in Aberdeen, MD after WW2 and in 1970 it was donated to the Canadian War Museum. Besides the limo the Canadian War Museum has many other artifacts from the German WW2 war machine.

@@lenol0315 I was being sarcastic sir...
is this the car Bart crashed?
They saved Hitler's brain
Now this is cool
Just saw it in the museum strangely eerie
Magnificent! Should that not be returned to teh rightful country of origin? I thought there is a global initiative to return looted art? Or is that a one-way street?
I'm sure Canada will gladly return it once Germany returns their Egyptian arrt back to Africa. Lol
@@koolbuildings7916 that is exactly what I am talking about. Many years ago I was in NYC in the metroplolitan museum. Let's just say that there were many medieval pieces that were mysteriously 'donated' to the USA in the spring of 1945 haha. Must be a coincidence. I do not think Germany received any mystery donations from America in return.
Canadians don't have too much to be proud of nowadays, except a few famous RUclipsrs :)
Yes they have a great mideival collection. Especially the armored soldiers on horseback. To the Victor go the spoils.
@@koolbuildings7916 these armors are from Augsburg and Nürnberg. At least they arranged them well.
If i am being political it is because museums are political statements, regardless of what the genre/category it is displaying.
Thank you so much
