I don't quite understand how large companies with their email servers and all set up DNS for their internal network or all their sites. it's good to know to know how thing work.

Out of curiosity I visited all the dot org root server sites right after watching up to 3:20. It was interesting to see all the different ways the organizations present their info. D-root and G-root would not load, connection was reset and error page displayed. And yes I used the alternate address provided for g-root. I have no idea what it all means, just thought it was interesting.
In princype you could add all the ip addresses for FQDN's you want to visit in the Hosts file. This is the first file the computer checks for resolving the ip-address of a website I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong
