    Nice fence rider, well-executed and good video showing it, but IMO it only works as a safe push stick for narrow cuts. If you're cutting anything wider, you're pushing the wrong corner. Why? Place a book on your kitchen countertop, and push the left corner. The book rotates to the right, which on a cut would be into the fence, where it's safe. Now push on the right corner of the book, where this jig pushes the workpiece. The book rotates to the left, which on a cut would be into the blade, causing it to walk up onto a tooth and kick back.
    How about instead of attaching a push stick to the fence rider, you attach the right edge of a mini sled to it, say a 20cm square with a small fence on the edge of it that's toward you? A sled's always a good pusher, and guiding it with a fence rider has the advantage of not having to cut miter slot runners for the sled. Just a thought.

      thank you 😀 ..yes of course... this push block has been designed for small pieces where a normal push stick is difficult to get between the fence and the saw blade. 🤓👍 ...and yes, I have to admit that I also like to use it for wider pieces... because it works so well. I didn't think at that moment that I couldn't take the pusher with wider pieces. 😳 🤔 Thank you so much for pointing that out. I'll have to take care of it in the future. 👌😀 The idea of making a little sled with a fence rider is great. thank you for that. 🤓 I'm gonna build something like this fast. 😀👍

    Nice job. May I suggest a modification? Just one groove&knob mid-way should be enough (you just loosen it and let the wood block "fall" on the piece to cut and then tie the knob), so you can make the wood "wall" of two different width: one like you did, for "normal" cuts and the opposite side much thinner for very thin cuts and you can change them just by loosening the knob and rotate the block upside down. Just my 2c. Ciao.

      😪that version of the saw is not available in the USA, the model available here doesn’t have the sled like yours or the oversized mitre sled. I have a large Delta and I’m very happy with it but I had to make many of the features that seem to have come stock on yours (like your mitre and a crosscut sled) and I like that it’s portable. Mine weighs about 350 pounds.

      The wood part I built is my push block.. The aluminium part is the rip fence of my circular saw. 😀🖐

    • @thosa

      thank you 😀 I got a simpler idea for that from pinterest and optimezed it for my needs 🤓 the Grrrriper is a bit better for use without a fence.. I plan to rebuild a Grrrriper Version from plywood... 😀 the saw ist this one: Bosch Professional GTS 10 XC

    i haven't been saw shopping for a long time, but i've never seen one with a bed like that... what is brand? you'd think they would ALL have them since every single one of us has had to build a sled!

      @thosa  6 лет назад +1

      Its a Bosch Professional GTS 10 xc 🙂 ... I still built a complete cross cut sled as well. There is no better way to saw small parts. 👍
