“This is where they fought the battle of Gettysburg. Fifty thousand men died right here on this field, fighting the same fight that we are still fighting among ourselves today. This green field right here, painted red, bubbling with the blood of young boys. Smoke and hot lead pouring right through their bodies. Listen to their souls, men. ‘I killed my brother with malice in my heart. Hatred destroyed my family.’ You listen, and you take a lesson from the dead. If we don't come together right now on this hallowed ground, we too will be destroyed, just like they were. I don't care if you like each other of not, but you will respect each other. And maybe... I don't know, maybe we'll learn to play this game like men.”

What is saddening is that this shows Disney's potential that they continue to squander. The most impactful soundtrack for me is this one. It got me to fall in love with the game of football and taught me a very important lesson as a child about racism in our society. You’ll notice this piece unexpectedly ends with a minor chord and I believe the composer is reminding us that this battle with prejudice in our society is not over...

As a white Caucasian male growing up during the 60’s and 70’s, I recall the epic words of Dr. King; ”a person should not be judged by the color of their skin, but by their character.” I know I paraphrased his quote, but my, my do we need a modern day prophet such as Dr. King today! May God bless our land!!!

I miss that team. Miss my brothers my friends. We all went our separate ways after 3rd grade cause I moved. And some of them moved. Some day I hope we can get together as a team again and play one more time on that field that we grew up on.😢😢😢 to remember the good old days just for kicks and grins.
