Hey can you help me please?! I am in the UK and have just brought a Mitsubishi lancer GL 1989! Literally nobody in England has them! Ive found that there are lots in the Philippines and Indonesia and lots of people modify them. I've noticed this term "singkit" floating around and was wondering........what does singkit mean??? My one is a completely standard GL and I have big plans for it but the first thing I need is a GTI body kit with front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper. Any idea where I can get these from? any advice or help would be very much appreciated! thanks!! Jake
Hi! It's kind of a wow for me that somebody who lives in UK got an interest with an old school car. Anyway, the reason why it's called "Singkit" because of its headlight. The eyes are similar to asian eyes. Nowadays, all these bumper, side skirts and body kits are hard to find. Most specially here in the Philippines, not a common car or owned by many. I heard that Indonesia have tons of car parts for our type of car. But, I have a few sources here in the Ph not that just sure if they have all these parts you are looking for. I was looking for the same parts before, I'd like to set it up as GTI for JDM concept.

Also, we love old cars in the UK, Jap cars hav a particularly large following atm but I think my lancer "singkit" is one of only 14 left in the country though, so I'm super chuffed to have found it! I have found a Colt GTI front bumper which I've ordered as it should be the same (1990). So gonna fit that then see where to go from there. I also saw in Indonesia they have a good following! So strange that they are not big in England like the other JDM classics like the S13/14/15 etc or the Skylines and stuff. I mean they never did like a crazy powerful one till the Evo I guess? How long have you had yours and do you have any advise for modifying it? Eventually I'm planning to do a full Evo engine and drive train swap! What does yours look like now? Again thanks for the reply!

Apparently, my car isn't working. We took out the engine to modify a little bit. I hope, I can upload more soon once I get it back running again. 🙏
