I love it . I love the brick exposed look . Gives a rustic rancho vibe to your modern style . It also compliments your neutral tones and it aligns well with green plants . Add some green artificial plants 🪴 to make your colors pop .
Oh and buy paint to give doors and windows a wooden appearance . I've seen garage doors painted like that . There not wood there just painted to look like wood.
lol love your ideas Lily but everything you didnt like that is what I loved especially for a house in Mexico! that is what gives it the character and the feeling of being in Mexico.
Love the exposed brick, I say keep it! Brings in so much character. You can always white wash it. Beautiful home! 🥰 And I get what you mean with door, love the wood look😉 Saluditos!
I love the brick wall and exposed bricks it's classic craftsmanship of Mexico I also love the windows and door.... you might not find what you're looking for in terms of decor and aesthetic vibes because Mexican decor/aesthetic overall usually has a twist of eclectic and funky vibes... I love the bathroom and cant wait to see your outdoor patio... it looks amazing already!
Paint the exposed brick white and add “china plate” design with blue accents!! 😍 will be a game changer since you already have so much white the rustic brown/red kind of clashes. That brick looks good with autumn colors like velvet greens/beige/leather browns etc.
we built our home in mexico as well and with the door trimming and ceiling we went with plaster type of vibe . the guy that did it ,did a great job . he made it look like the wood trimming from the states but it’s actually plaster!
Love the house! I’d say keep the brick it’s totally giving! Gives it that different feeling from the modern houses. Love the idea of wood in the patio totally giving Hacienda vibes. Love how the house is coming along ☺️
Lily I don’t know if Tonala Jalisco is a traveling option for you but you will find everything you are looking for for your home. I got EVERYTHING there and just had it shipped to me. It’s an option. Love your place ❤
I had a house built & it's the hardest thing. Their understanding and mine of what we wanted was so different, and yes, super hard to find furniture you like in Mexico. I would take things from the US (small decor) in my luggage.
My parents put all of their doors in their house in mexico with parota wood, they were all made with their design. It is more expensive, but it's something that is going to last for awhile, people told them that it's literally the only wood that is termite resistant and it has such a beautiful finish.
I agree with Lily. I don’t like exposed brick or the windows and door! Loooove the wood look! Gives Tulum vibes. I think for decor like you’re looking for maybe the stores in southern Mexico? Or coastal!? I’m from Querétaro, check there too maybe. Tons of boutique furniture stores! Good luck and excited to see the results!!! So far so good!
I’m so glad they did the windows they installed!! You need bars on the windows no matter what area in mexico you’re in!! It’ll just make you feel secure!!!!
Im in michoacan and have long big glass windows with no bars or nothing and i live on the main entrance street. I dont feel i need the bars and they look way more elegant without. Not all mexico is unsafe
Omgggg thank you Lilly and Mando for this full tour and just seeing / hearing your vision ❤❤❤ manifesting girlyyyy && hope all your dreams and more 🙏🥲🫶🏼🥰 come true for your little casitaaa
Love you inspo pics!! Can’t wait to see the final results! 🤗 I would say don’t change the windows if you guys don’t go as often maybe leave them and save that money for another fix
I love that you’ll included the inspo pics. Hey at the end of the day it’s youlls home away from home! Happy wife happy life, if lily wants to cover all the brick let her. I am sure once she is done it’s going to be gorgeous ❤
There is a place in Jalisco called Tonala they have everything man made it’s beautiful and worth it we actually bought pieces to bring to our home in Colorado it’s beautiful
Can you please put info on where in Salvatierra did you get the a/c please. We are also in the process of building in Mexico and need a/c for our home.
Nosotros estamos contrayendo en Tamps y los entendemos que es muy difícil explicar todo por teléfono pero gracias a dios ahí va poco a poco mejorando todo . Congratulations nice house
I like the doors and brick with the wood on top it more like hacienda vibes. Try the antique stores in the us. My husband is from venado slp and theres this man that makes furniture out of trees. Really nice.
It's still looks good guys don't trip! The brick wall Mando wants to leave by the desk is cool just put tape in between the brick so the grout/cement won't get painted and I think like a dark burgundy or black color would look nice on the bricks then put the same color frames big ones with black and white pics of you and Mando around the bricks would look nice.. ❤ your videos a forever fan
The doors and windows are nice but it’s not your vibe, I would definitely change them. Get the ones you love so your vision can come to life. Pa eso trabajas para darte tus gustos ❤
Girl building in Mexico is such a headache lol money will go to the trash sometimes but you just gotta let everything flow, lmk if you need help w finding stores or people to make your stair rail or stores we have a house in penjamo gto
Typical Mexico rancho build wherethe albaniles get really creative with their understanding of your vision 😆. Loving your theme and vision so far though! Please continue sharing the process!
I forgot the family who vlogged their home and then a few months later got their home broken into, be careful what you post, some things should be private (like entrances in and out of the home) just for your guys safety love your vlogs ❤
Replace the brick trim with cantera trim. The cantera colors may have your vibe. Just replace and resell the doors. That’s the main thing and it should be what you want.
Good Morning Everyone How's Everyone Doing Today On This Sunday Morning My Name Is Brett Flores This Is My First Time Subscribing To Your Videos I'am From Arizona State
Lily, you have the opportunity to stay in Mx for as long as it will take to finish your house and I suggest you guys do that otherwise you will spend a lot more money than planned. It happened to me when building my home in my parents Pueblo but for our 2nd home we hired a professional architect who exceeded our expectations and we didn’t stay in Mx as thought bcus he was getting shiiiiit done lol as for the first house, we would come multiple times y si no era una cosa era otra and our family member in charge of supervising was pretty much doing the opposite of what we wanted lol
Holaaa from Oklahoma!!! Yasss finally been waiting for this one! Home gym in Tampa coming or what 💪🏽 new business import modern furniture to Guanajuato.
I personally love the style that it has now, it's Mexican but understand Lily she wanted more of a Rustic look and feel. I personally would leave as is lol
Yes I love the brick too. It gives Mexican hacienda 😍, needs to be buffed up though. But definitely does not match with the modern rustic look she is going for.
My uncle and his white wife built a beautiful modern home in their rancho in Guanajuato. My uncle and his wife tend to overshare on Facebook. They come back to the USA in summer/spring. While here, their home was broken into and robbed. I’m not saying this will occur to you. But I do think you 2 are way too much confiados de qué no existe la delinquencia. May god protect this couple, their family and home. Amen.
Do u have tips to make money and be ambitious in life and have goals?im 30 and have nothing nd don’t work hard 😢what gives y’all drive n motivation? How do y’all plan yall time?
Personally the brick brings so much character and charm to a space. Drywall is cool and the clean but sometimes that look can drag down the look in my personal opinion plus that brick looks well taken care of

The doors and windows give it that Mexico character
@@mm4389 it’s super cute but not for me 😊
Also, even if it’s not super cute Lily, you don’t wanna look so different that you stick up from the rest of the houses. 👀
Love! Keep the brick, makes it unique, stain to go with color scheme.
I thought the same they can always stain the brick
lol love your ideas Lily but everything you didnt like that is what I loved especially for a house in Mexico! that is what gives it the character and the feeling of being in Mexico.
I love the brick wall by the vanity ! It adds character
Yeah, you just need to decorate the brick wall with something
Right, so pretty.
Love the exposed brick, I say keep it! Brings in so much character. You can always white wash it. Beautiful home! 🥰 And I get what you mean with door, love the wood look😉 Saluditos!

That brick wall is gorgeeeeeous. Hella Mexico vibes.
I actually love the brick! It def adds Mexico style to it maybe add accents to make it more your vibe or colors in the decor.. but it looks great!!
we built our home in mexico as well and with the door trimming and ceiling we went with plaster type of vibe . the guy that did it ,did a great job . he made it look like the wood trimming from the states but it’s actually plaster!
Wow you have to send us pictures! Excited to see this!
love what you guys have done so far, personally like the brick and a doors gives it Mexico vibes just paint them.
For the brick on lilys side you can lime wash it so it won’t be so red and can match the vibe she’s going for 🤷🏻♀️
I love it!!! Me encanta ladrillo. Keep it Lily lol. I am soo excited to see the end result
Not Lili making me want to build a house in Mexico now 😂 ughh I love it excited for you guys!
Love the house! I’d say keep the brick it’s totally giving! Gives it that different feeling from the modern houses. Love the idea of wood in the patio totally giving Hacienda vibes. Love how the house is coming along ☺️
Am I the only one that loves the ceiling? Maybe just add more lights on the inside of the structure to accentuate the shape.
Hola!! Here from New Mexico. Enjoyed your video. Can’t wait to see more.😊
Love the brick trim and bars so classic 💓 great video on goals and Prosperity 🌟🙏🏼🥰
I love it with the brick, but of course, everyone is different. You guys are doing great with building the house. Looking so cute and cozy. ❤
Lily I don’t know if Tonala Jalisco is a traveling option for you but you will find everything you are looking for for your home. I got EVERYTHING there and just had it shipped to me. It’s an option. Love your place ❤
Tonala es tu mejor opción Lyly
I had a house built & it's the hardest thing. Their understanding and mine of what we wanted was so different, and yes, super hard to find furniture you like in Mexico. I would take things from the US (small decor) in my luggage.
Love how the brick looks in the closing part of the blogg.
Love the exposed brick ❤,,, your casita will look great once finished 🤗😊
I say u should keep the brick inside it gives it more mexico vibes tipo hacienda it’s very pretty I would keep it 🤩
Omg giving a rustic industrial feeling to it! With that brick greens and it just needs metal and black!!😍
It’s looking so good 😊 love the brick windows and doors! Hopefully they grow on you and find a way to embrace them 😊

What if you just add stone on top of all the brick to give you that tulum look you were going for.
Next time go to mueblería el porvenir in moroleon GTO. They have alot of wood furniture there
The whole bars being on windows , how exactly you able break out in case of a home fire and the doors are blocked off from flames 😭😭
Super off topic but girl you look sooo pretty 😍
Love the style your going for
