I need you to understand that in all the references and literature on the history of Id software and development of DOOM, it is often refered to the "The Black Cube". To you, perhaps just a office building with a property name of Town East Tower. But to the fans of id and their many games, and the birthplace of DOOM, it is forever known as The Black Cube.
@@modine6968 well that guy was/is me lol. There's a lot of gaming history that happened in there, as well as several other offices nearby in Plano, Shreveport and Richardson that they previously had a studio at or currently do.
Now, I do not expect you to go forward calling it "The Black Cube". That's probably too much to ask... ...but I gurantee the next time you drive past it you're gonna think "hey, there's the building the crazy dude from RUclips was carrying on about having to do with games or something." If you at least acknowledge it as such going forward, then I have done my job of spreading the good word, sir.
@@beavermatic Oh! I was unaware that was you, I hope you can accept my deepest apologies. I did however know about the gamming history of The Black Cube because in the early and mid 90s of my early teenage years as I would be going down N. Mesquite Dr. my then steeped told me that they made video games in that building witch explained all the Ferraris, Dodge vipers and Lambos parked in back. LOL
It's crazy thinking how many iconic games, levels, etc. were made right inside that building.
That so cool. Was just reading Masters of Doom and looked this up!
You have to think about the Ferraris that were once parked in that parking lot!
Address?
Cool
That building is not the "black cube" thats Town East Tower! Its just an office bulding.
