    In a world dominated by diet culture, many people experience a mindset of food scarcity, where food is perceived as limited or restricted. This mindset can lead to intense cravings, food obsession, and binge eating. However, by shifting to a mindset of abundance-where food is seen as accessible and varied-you can develop a healthier, more intuitive relationship with eating.

    It took three years, but I finally left dieting and restriction behind. Now I mostly eat vegan but I eat anything I really want. I usually want real food now that junk food is no longer forbidden. It's lost its allure. Funnily enough, my weight hasn't changed much in 30 years. I just stopped worrying about. The fear of "blowing up" is over. Freedom.

    I’m so glad I found you! Love this mindset and your mom videos/videos. Here and there I have something junkie, but as you say it’s a little with some veggies. My issue is when with other people it drives me nuts how nosy they are about what I’m eating or how I’m eating something junkie and staying slim. I explain it nicely but I feel they really don’t listen. They want a lot of junk at once. I tell them if I did this it wouldn’t make me feel good.

      So glad about it too! And people are always judging, it's so annoying. No one should say anything about your food choices except you. I would try to ignore as much as possible ☺

    Love your content. I just got your cookbook and the extras that went with it and the info is great! Question, Is it easy to get back to one’s “genetically set weight point” through intuitive eating or should I eat a bit more restrictively first?? I just had a baby and almost a year later, I’ve got about 30lbs to lose.

    I am obese and losing weight very slowly, like less than one pound per week bc I can binge a few times a month. I have adhd so focusing and planning r difficult. Losing weight slowly has decreased food cravings as well. Also I make sure to focus on my water intake and taking walks too.

    My story :
    I have come across your channel sometime around last year. Being a person who has grown up seeing unhealthy eating habits, I honestly lost track of how to eat and enjoy food. On top of it, I myself developed unhealthy relationship with food following the numerous diet cultures. You have definitely helped me understand how to develop healthy relationship with food.
    I’m working on my habits from the past few months. There are still lots of binge eating episodes. Later i have realised my hormones are playing a
    role. I have PMS phase where i binge eat a lot. Now i know my triggers. 4-5 days i will be fine and then binge eat. Still working on it.
    But, One thing i can tell you is, im more mentally peaceful. I used to get frequent migraines which got better because of the least changes i have made in my diet. Binges have got better. I mean when i get the urge to binge im not giving up always like before. Im able to control few of them. It’s just for few minutes and im totally fine and sometimes i only eat very limited quantity and I dont have the urge to eat at all.
    Im a mother of 6 year old boy. Now i allow my son to be conscious about his body. What i have observed is, he never over eats even his favourite food. When we lose consciousness of our own bodies thats when we harm ourselves by developing unhealthy habits.
    I can’t thank you enough Lucie for being a tremendous inspiration in my food journey. Learnt a lot from your videos. As a mother i don’t do the same mistake which my mother did( of course unintentionally).

    Thank you for your content! Could you make a video about the relationship with the scale? Many people struggle with an unhealthy mindset around weighing themselves, so understanding how to approach it positively would be really helpful. Also, could you clarify some common health tips, such as whether it's bad to eat fruit after meals or drink water during them? Lastly, I noticed your Pinterest’s fat loss section includes 'zero-calorie' and 'fat burner' foods, which can promote diet culture and don’t fully align with your positive message. It might be worth refreshing your Pinterest to better reflect your values.

    • @Edukalebylucie
      @Edukalebylucie  28 дней назад

      I usually just recommend people stop weighing themselves! When it comes to common health tips, usually they're wrong: you can eat fruit whenever you want. As for the Pinterest boards, I deleted the weight loss and clean eating board! You're right they don't align with my message at all. They weren't my pins but I was repinning to try to get traction a few years ago.
