Thank you so much, Jill, for your wonderful video(s). My husband and I have made several trees this holiday season and have given them as gifts to friends and family. You made it look "doable" and we did it!
Thank you. We're not planning to do anything like that. We do have a drop kiln but have yet to experiment with it. Perhaps in the future, currently there's just too many other things to do!
Very nice. One of the most beautiful things is translucent/transparent art glass back lit. Very much like thin flowers with sun shining through. Cheers! From the USA, Ohio. U R the best teacher that I have encountered thus far, you explain materials and how they perform and you hold things in place long enough that we have ample time to observe them. 10:20 yes, music is nice, but distracting for THIS sort of thing. 11:36, yes, soot from a candle and uneven heat resulting in splitting glass, not good. Only if the candle could be kept well away from the glass, it WOULD look nice. 18:00 Yes, fabulous indeed. I was wondering if a few Chiristmas ornaments would go on. 18:33 , There we go, very nice, peppermint twist colors. 20:11 They look exactly like peppermint stripe candies. very nice! Not a chaotic pastiche of various colors. 24:27 very nice! The best one yet! Thank you for sharing.
You are such a wonderful teacher! Love this project...it was worth the wait for a new video! Would you consider doing a beginner's video on making murrini? Thanks and Merry Christmas from the USA! :)
Jill, I know this video is older but I love them ALL. I just bought a bigger kiln so I can make these and a lot of the other gorgeous projects you have. I am curious, do you think that one could use a "thread" of Glass Lline paint to decorate the tree with "tinsel"? I was just curious I DO have some vitrigraph and regular stringers I can fashion into tinsel too, but I thought it might be an idea to try. Now that I am mentioning it, my only concern is whether or not the tack fuse temperatures will be hot enough for it. I guess I could read the instructions? (Duh! lol!!). I am sure you are busy, but I would love any insight on that if you have a minute. Thank you so very much for all of your contributions to fusing, I LOVE your channel ❣ xx
Hi Glassline paints mature better at higher temperatures, 790ºC and above. You may find a tack fuse will work, but may not bring out all the depth of colour. Best option would be to do a small test piece rather than potentially trash a larger piece.
I sure miss your videos.. Thank you for all you've shared.. Hugs and love from Sisters, OR
Thank you so much!
credit should go to Look Ma No Stand for developing those slumpers.
We've not heard about that before, do tell us more. Like many things there's always claims about who invented it first. Interested to hear.

@@FiredGlass oh that is definitely helpful and I will do just that! Thank you so much. Hope to see more vids from you soon! xx
Love your pieces and you’re an excellent teacher. I can’t seem to get the bendy mold in the U.S. Any suggestions?
Thanks Cindy. You need to find a local metal fabricator that works in stainless steel.
Thank you for this video. Very helpful. I am unable to locate a place to purchase these metal molds. Can you send the information ?
Thanks for watching Brad. You can find them here; www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Slumpingmould
Where do you get that mold please
Check the description, link is there for the metal mould.
Hello you live in Bayern in Germany by Wasserburg? Mabe best wishes
