  • Songs like "Crazy On You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda" and "Straight On" embedded Heart in the DNA of classic rock. Ann and Nancy Wilson were among the first women who worked as writers, performers and leaders of a rock band. Heart proved their staying power in the MTV era, topping the charts through the 80s and 90s. The sisters have branched out to solo efforts while continuing to tour and record together. Their most recent album, Red Velvet Car, debuted at 10 on the Billboard Top 200 LPs in 2010. In 2012, they will be releasing their follow-up to that album, a career-spanning box set, as well as an autobiography. In addition to their first-ever appearance at SXSW, they will also be installing their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
