12:30. Totally agree with you guys. One of the things I love about the relationship I have with my wife is that we can sit in silence without feeling worlds apart. We can simply enjoy each other's presence and physical company without feeling like the silence is awkward.
I went to a boarding school for a time and it was an amazing experience for me. I grew more in that time than during any other time in my schooling. It was not religious (it was an art school) but then again, I wasn't either at that time. I wouldnt hesitate to send my kids to a Catholic boarding school if they wished to go. Also, really glad to see John again. I loved his last interview.
From this 12:25 -13:00 to this 44:40 - 47:00 Sorry John Henry and Neil, but a marriage would never work between you two. You guys had me rolling with this. This was such a great show.
Listening to Matt say "I don't think women are beautiful until they are at least thirty. Before thirty they are pretty but they are not yet beautiful" has given me so much to think and I concur with this. As a woman I admit now that I am in my 29's that before I was so focused on my outer "beauty" and how I needed to "look right" because of how fake "beauty" standards are projected in our societies but God has put me in a path of healing, and rediscovering who I am and what I was brought to life for that has made me realize that my true beauty shines from within, from the work I do everyday to lead a virtuous life, to be a better christian, a more compassionate person to myself and others, and how I carry my cross with love, hope and faith. Now that's beautiful. So let's normalize the God-definition of beauty that suggests, against all difficulties, putting on the work to strengthen our emotions and spiritual life by His transforming grace (that we find through the Sacraments, going to Mass, prayer, the intercession of Saints, following virtuous role models, etc) so that our outer self reflects the peace, trust and love towards God that we feel inside.
Dear Matt, I really enjoyed watching both interviews you had with John Henry. He seems to be a good man, and leads a beautiful family. I just want to say that he needs to own what he said about understanding the fire "if" son joined taliban. I want him to know that fire he refers to is hell fire. Fire of islamic extremism has ruined lives of millions and generations past, present and generations to come. It's not funny or metaphorical to people who have experienced it regardless of how he feels or thinks. God bless you both and have a great day.
John Henry has land and pigs... I need ALL the John Henry episodes in clips... all of it clipped. My Husband can't watch anything more than 10min long😂 But I love these guys and he would too! He just doesn't have the argentine span to watch the whole thing.
Just wanna say, I have know about this show for a while but hadn’t watch it. After watching my first podcast last week I have been on a binge. Just wish I could watch live but I gotta work lol. Thanks for the show Matt, will download and watch later.
Is this Chesterton quote why he carried and gun and a sabre after he got married? - "Marriage is a duel to the death which no man of honor can decline."
I have learned that the true measurement of success nowadays is not how many friends you have but how many enemies you have made who are willing to defame you on social media.
It's a pleasure to listen to you :) I noted some great thoughts. Assuming you're truly not reading the comments, I know neither of you will read this, but I will leave some thanks to Neil for his work here :D
Would love to see a collab with Catholic Balm Co. I did the Nazarite challenge 2 years back and it helped me to share my faith with other beardly, holy men. But beardlyness is next to cleanliness is next to Godliness. It may change shape and length and is getting more salt n peppa by the day.....but its here to stay. I trim my mustache to my upper lip line to keep the wife appeased. Ive had it so long all you could see was most of my bottom lip. God save the beard #LetItBeGrownAccordingToHisWill
Let me get this straight, to be authentic and a "real" Catholic, I have to move to the North GA mountains, raise chickens, hunt, and love the Confederacy? Please provide corrections if I'm in error.
Succeeding in fake things: Being a working tv/film actor. Anyone who knows anything about tv/film casting would agree with me. This is arguable the most fakest thing in the world. WWE wrestling is more honest.
@@TickleMeElmo55 quite a general comment there - “how people go about their relationships”. There are about 9 billion people in the world. How many of those people have you studied ?
John Henry's down to earth masculinity while living a really faithful and devout life is so refreshing.
I love hearing REAL MEN talking about REAL MANLY subjects! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I love these two guys’ friendship.
"You need to pay together and experience the sacraments, but also be cheesy"
I kept thinking how 🥖, 🍷, and 🧀 go REALLY well together

So glad to put a face with the Neil!
At last...we get to see the pipe. Love it. Well done, great to see you enjoying it.

I would love to see Matt interview Dr. Robert Haddad.
He is super intelligent and very Catholic
Please give Neil a microphone.

You should get J.D. Vance to make an appearance on the show. He's a Catholic convert and I'm interested to hear his story.
On a show recently he said that JD Vance’s people wanted him JD to go on the show but they told Matt they didn’t really want to talk about his faith
Yes, Matt said he wanted to speak with him but his people wouldn't let him.
I love this, guys. I’m starting a podcast for older ladies and I swear, we will have the funniest man stories. You’ll enjoy it!
You should invite Eduardo Verastegui on the show. 🙏🏽
That would be so cool!!
Great Dumb and Dumber reference!

Steubenville can be very lonely.
Oh my gosh he totally looks like tzar Nickolas!!! I love that he knew that.
You should interview Lizzie answer. She has a great conversion story.
I do too
So that's who Neal is... Nice shirt Neal
I always listen to these episodes on Spotify...seeing what it looks like IRL is weird haha
Give Neil a microphone
Not according to my parents. If you are not successful at real things and all real things that I attempt.
no but the beard is so good
Not the beard!
John definitely didn't do the math with his new 60-year-old Russian wife and her 8 year-old-son...

Right, like materialism and how people go about their intimate relationships in a very shallow, materialistic, warped and juvenile way.
