It was launched on April 22, 1996, and is a well-known index for representing the broader Indian equity market. Similar to Sensex, Nifty 50 is also a market capitalization-weighted index, but it includes 50 large-cap stocks from various sectors listed on the NSE.
Both Sensex and Nifty 50 serve as key indicators of the overall market sentiment and are used by investors, traders, and financial analysts to track the performance of the Indian stock market as a whole. Movements in these indices can provide insights into the market's trends and can impact investor confidence and trading decisions
