I love the slug pup holding onto one of the pearls for a while. They don’t know what’s going on, but there’s a bunch of shinies on the floor, so might as well grab one.
Not sure if all slugpups do this, but mine absolutely LOVES holding pearls, and they like.. play with them in their hands, all happy! I'm doing an all unlock all pearls Survivor, so they're ecstatic anytime I let them hold one :D I have like 10 pearls in a single shelter now!

And the gift of communication is actually a one-way telepathy. The iterators stop talking audibly when you have the gift.
If you enter through the top by climbing the wall of the exterior he does have one extra line at the end "Best of luck to you, and your family. There is nothing else I can do."
Edit: it replaces the line "Best of luck to you, little creature. I must resume my work."

That's pretty similar to what my best friend said when they taught me to play the game as a pup, brings back fun times. 'We Are Going To Meet The Local God Please Follow Me'
I've always perceived Five Pebble's communication sequence being like, (tries speaking, fails) -> (tries using text, gets increasingly frustrated as the text gets bigger and flashes more) -> (starts showing you graphics in a last-ditch attempt to see if you understand anything) -> (insults you with the last graphic like "DO YOU HAVE A BRAIN?!?!? HELLO???????") -> (Gives up and gives you the mark)

- Enunciates each syllable like an American speaking to a foreigner
- Writes something down to see if you understand it
- Tries using two different writing systems
- Writes it in big bold letters
- Pulls up graphs and stuff as a visual aid as he tries to figure out how to give you the mark. Could also just be the GUI of a computer program (but mostly it’s just so the developer can tell subtly you what’s happening)

He's still with me, safe and sound! I even found him a sibling! It's a pain to drag two babies around now, but it's worth it :D

Two might be the most slugpups that spawn at once in a world, but that might just be my luck,

when i went to fp with my pup, he was just monologuing and we were playing fetch with pearls. slugpups are adorable, i love them
I was able to unlock the slugpups and found my sweet baby Pea as Hunter in sky islands and I love them. 😭
Sky Islands sure had to be scary for the pup :D I love slugpups, they all have a tiny personality!!
@@-SevenRedSuns- I'd think they were super happy to see me cuz I was just entering the gate to chimney and saw them pop out of the shelter. And the trip from there to the Wall and Pebbles was so calm which I was glad for. They did have a sibling for a short time that I found at shared but I lost them to the rain when I was rushing back to a shelter 😔
Aw.. I lost one that wasn't tamed yet, it managed to die while I was looking for it. It was in Moon's structure :')

No. Literally Looks to the Moon, broken one. I don't know how it managed to die. Best bet is that it drowned while a jellyfish zapped it. Jellyfish now zap you when they can and stun you, so it wouldn't surprise me
I found a little pale blue slugpup in a Survivor playthrough in the leg, brought it to Pebbles, and when he asked if I understood after I got the mark the slugpup nodded with me and I thought it was so insanely precious-
Answers to some of your questions:
- The red dots on the bottom of the screen are threat meters and show in how much danger you are in. White dots are breath meter. You can enable both in the Rain World Remix settings.
- Survivor is a custom color.
(!!! SPOILERS BELOW!!!)
- Slugpups are unlocked after finishing Gourmand's food quest (you have to eat certain creatures and food), and will randomly appear in Monk, Gourmand and Survivor's campaigns from that point, always next to a shelter/in it. I found this one in Shaded Citadel on my way to Pebbles, of all places..
