What I love about singers like Siepi and his contemporaneans is the fact that not a single note goes out if it's not completely supported by the whole body. Piano or Forte!!!! BRAVO!!!!
Ruhe in Frieden lieber Cesare!
I' very sad!!!!Rest in peace Cesare...Thank you for the music that you let us as a big gift..Thank you for your Voice that made aur world better..Addio Cesare
Recently my teacher and I have been discussing that my voice may not stay a baritone for long, and that I may turn into a bass by the time I'm 20-something. At first I was distraught, but listening and watching Cesare gives me hope for the future, I become a bass.
Also a superb collaboration: Not only is Siepi's phrasing perfection, the maestro and Siepi are absolutely one (the way Siepi delivers the passagework at "puo sol veder" mirrors the lower strings precisely!). Siepi's almost a cello himself! I'd so much like to know who this fine maestro is. I know this is from Munich, and I've been wracking my brains trying to think what Munich conductor's around in 1970 with a white beard. Please, if anyone knows who it is, I'd be so grateful. Many thanks.
It’s not the best orchestral interp. since I would take more time between certain moments, but it is not at all “boring” because of Siepi. His technique is immaculate. I’m not sure how I feel about his method for taking some low notes, but that’s nothing he’s incredible.
What more to say, than I could die for this. What a noble and wonderful voice. What impresses me the most is, that it looks so easy and relaxed for him, nevertheless it's full of emotions...unbelievable!

BRAVO!!!!
... and his vibrato does not distort the intonation and distract from the notes.
Fantastico e Unico!!!La vera nobiltà del canto Lirico!❤👍❤👍❤👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Seriously, how can someone dislike this?
Stupid people!
His technique is unbelievable ❤️
Incredible voice a true bass color
@Geremia Campolonghi Is chest voice with head resonance.
sounds like a king, looks even more so, such a royal class of his own... pure rare beauty for opera lovers...

A noble, powerful basso. Better timbre than nay bass today.
Bravo!
Rest in peace, maestro!

Stupendo!!!grazie!!!!
I SO wanted to sing like Siepi. He will always be my favorite. I can't count how many times I listened to his recording of this aria.
The greatest "ella giammai m'amo" by the greatest Verdi Bass.
💖🎼💖
Questi erano artisti. Punto
Un grande
Thanks very much, Ed. Much appreciated. Best, grig035

Boring in comparison to Pinza.
