If Rotta was enslaved to become a gladiator, by the "evil" Hutt twins... could actually be a very compelling story. Natural tie in with Boba Fett.... It would explain why members of the Ghost Crew might care (help break him out) or if a reward was given by a rival Hutt gangster.... explaining Mandos ultimate involvement. Smets is the best!
The Star Wars hotel is a microcosm of Disney SW: out-of-touch executives fumbling the easiest slam dunk ever. What should have been a money-printing machine is now a windowless tomb of broken dreams.
Star Wars Galatic hotel should have been a home run, but was a disaster. If they have based it on orginal triolgy or prequels. and made it more moderatly priced + have outdoor spaces. it could have been a big sucess.
@44:40 I totally get Kevins frustration about Lucasfilm being put off making films after they bungled the release date for Solo although to be fair that was a Bob Iger decision which he owned up to. But yeah I wish theyd stayed the course and released Kenobi as a film instead of the series.
Speaking of a Clone Wars movie and Padme falling in love with a disturbing Anakin in AOTC, well, having Natalie Portman back in scenes with Hayden could go along way to strengthening the believability of such a relationship. Don’t miss this opportunity!
Could there be some conflation here ? I have zero sources just what I’d seen widely reported at the time so you may well be right John but as I heard it, it was Lindelof’s script that had Hellen Mirren mentioned as the vision for an older Rey, not Levy’s. It was shortly before Celebration that Damon left and this was a key point of contention as KK was keen to go back to Daisy & follow her story going forward as she ages rather than boxing themselves in w/ a OT then PT or ST then Mando & thus Deepfake Luke. So then at celebration Sharmeen & Daisy were brought on stage being the first big official announcement of the Rey movie. Stephen Knight was brought on to rework it for an age aligned Rey & whatever other issues they might have wanted to addressed that aligned w/ Sharmeen’s vision for the film. It has typically been a challenge to find any info on what Levy’s pitch was as they were tight lipped on that & his focus was on DP&W. 🤷♂️
Smasher, you have hate, you have anger, but… oh. Oh, you /do/ use them. Well… welcome to the Sith Brotherhood, man! We have Taco Tuesdays and Casual Fridays. Unlike what the Jedi tell you, you’re gonna love it here! 😝😂🤣
I do like Jenny and her Galactic Starcrusier video is great, but it's also a shame to me it has become the defacto video on it, because there are TONS of videos from people who did have positive experiences too.
Andor also has 3x more episodes (24 vs 8) & more than 3x but less than 5x longer total runtime as each Andor ep is closer to the 45min-1hr range w/ few in the 35-45 range & none less. In the streaming era we can’t talk about episode/show budgets any longer as if they are a 1:1. For it to make much sense at all, a $s/hr metric makes much more sense. As such: Ahsoka, BoBF, Mando, & OB-K range from $18-23mil/hr on avg & in that order. Andor S1 comes in at $29mil/hr (longer per ep & more eps than all other SW D+ series & highest total cost). The Acolyte per hr is $41mil. So the difference between the series becomes much starker. For ref per Wiki’s list of most expensive shows: 1) LotR: RoP $55mil/hr (not clear if this even factors in the $500mil they paid for the rights) 2) She-Hulk $56mil/hr 3) WandaVision $47mil/hr 4) The Acolyte $41mil/hr 5) Stranger Things - this one’s more complicated & due to the range of runtimes from 42-142min & haven’t gone through all 34eps to tally the ttl or search to find if somebody has but at $30mil/ep w/ longer runtimes but comparable to HotD, it would likely stay in this position. 6) HotD $18-23mil avg/hr
@ Actually, I already saw a breakdown of cost per minute. Andor was only a hair cheaper than the Acolyte per minute and you’re still stuck with it being the second lowest viewed SW. Andor’s great, but it doesn’t escape the fact that its cost was on par with TA and had extremely poor viewership.

Smets is the best!
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?
The unmasking of Darth Smasher 1:08:52 !
Hahahaha
I love the Smets rant against the hotel; best laugh of the day.

Someone thinks they’re edgy and witty. 😂 Get over yourself lol
gosling as a lead in a star wars movie is a dream.
but shawn levy directing it? ew lmao
@55:22 To Laura's point about why they make so many Darth Vader comics - its similar to how DC constantly cranks out new Batman stories.
What’s funny though is no matter how many Vader related books the put out, they are almost always the best comics they do.
Star Wars Galatic hotel should have been a home run, but was a disaster. If they have based it on orginal triolgy or prequels. and made it more moderatly priced + have outdoor spaces. it could have been a big sucess.
Laura, the graveyard of my own failed attractions is my life! Thanks for reminding me!
😝😂🤣❤

Damn at least he owned up to it. I didn’t know he did. Now let’s just get back to the theaters!
Laura: I’m not on Twitter often, but people were mad…
Stop, Laura. That’s all we need to hear. 😂

Awesome Show Jedi Way!
20 pts to Laura for switching up the final statement!
Smets could not have said it any better with that rant!
Haha thank you!
I read the caption of this video in Jerry Seinfeld’s voice

If only 10% of Jedi survived order 66, that's a 1000 survivors 😅. Plenty of untold survivor stories of Jedi after the purge
Always loved the creature design of Watto 😄
I dont trust anything coming out about Star Wars, ill believe it when my butt is in the seat and the Star Wars opening plays lol.
Great show
Great episode! 🎉
Disney Imaginers will be saying "One Way Out!"
I'm only ready for good STAR WARS....... rather that's a movie or show didn't matter. Though I'm ready for a great movie.
Master Rocha, you’re surrounded by Sith Laura and Sith Smasher! Get out! Get out~!!😂

The new subterranean Imagineer offices sounds like Joe’s miserable job from Joe Versus the Volcano.
Mace Windu Survived!!!!!!
If we’re talking numbers, Andor did only slightly better than The Acolyte and cost 3x (~$655m). Just sayin’.
It also wasn’t nominated for awards or reviewed incredibly well or beloved by Star Wars fans.
Andor also has 3x more episodes (24 vs 8) & more than 3x but less than 5x longer total runtime as each Andor ep is closer to the 45min-1hr range w/ few in the 35-45 range & none less.
