Kevin, there is a roommate mod and I really think you should try it out. You can get up to 12 (?) NPC roommates (it overrides the Butler) and they cook, clean, and do lots of things for you AND you can force them to stay on your lot and never leave

Since you cured Jim of his vampirism recently, you might want to know that there’s currently a glitch with vampires where they keep some of their behaviours when cured. So if Jim had the withered stomach weakness as a vampire, he won’t be able to eat food as a human... he’ll take a bite then get uncomfortable moodlets until he throws up. Probably what caused the hilarious breadstick moments in this episode. Some of the other traits carry over as well, depending on what powers/weaknesses you selected while your sim was a vampire.
If you want to fix this, make him a vampire again (MC Command Centre can do this), choose all the weaknesses / powers he had before, make the Draught of Reconfiguration (at a bar), then cure Jim of his vampirism however you want. If the throwing up doesn’t bother you, then you can ignore this completely!

Remember, Kevin did not create Jim Pickens. Jim was randomly formed, out of the ether, as a serial killer, and happened to move across the street from Kevin's sim. Kevin noticed that everyone Jim knew had died mysteriously. Then Kevin let Jim move in, and his old sims all died mysteriously. Jim wasn't created by Kev to be evil, they just found each other and happened to be a perfect fit of evil.
