Dont forget about the blower motor resistor. I changed mines on my hardbody and on my honda crv when my ac wasn't working. A cheap $20 part. Great video.
I have the same truck. Mine won't idle with the mass airflow sensor plugged in but if unplugged it idles fine I've replaced the Mass airflow sensor twice so far and still same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks I enjoyed your video.
Thats a Tough one. Have you tried killing the power to the ECU and resetting it completely? Could be the harness end of the connector that may have a rip or tear or the plug ins are worn and not making contact. Id get a volt meter to make sure im getting signal from all the contact points. Also it could just be dirty and you can probably try to use some MAF cleaner. Hope this helps somewhat ive been there and it’s a Pain. Also if you have any check engine lights try to take care of them one by one to eliminate anything that might be causing any other disturbances.
Hope you still see comments. PLEASE can you give more info on the LSV (Load Sensing Valve) cross over part from a Mitsubishi? Did you physically use the Mitsu part on your Nissan? Remember the Part# by any chance? Purchased from? (eBay, Amazon, Etc)? Or the Mitsu truck the part was for? Mine is dumping fluid. I do not want to pay $250+ or buy used, risking the used one leaking as well.
Here is the Link to the one i have www.ebay.com/itm/MB618321-Load-Sensing-Valve-Brake-Compensator-For-Mitsubishi-L200-Triton-1986-07-/153904972395?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
There is a Drain line to let air out around the intake by the pump it’s probably loose or bad. Its like a 10mm bolt there. Its called Coolant bleeder screw.
The LSV valve under the truck bed: The Load Sensing Valve ("thingy with a spring on it"). It prevents your brakes from locking up in the rear under a load shift. There are two types; the non-heavy duty and the heavy duty. These valves cannot be rebuilt; must be replaced. Another valve, behind the passenger tire, was the Master Cylinder Proportioning Valve. I hope your next video is made during the day .
My 95 has a ka24e. Start right up. Idle is okay, could be better. It has no acceleration power. Petal to the floor runs worse. There’s a sweet spot on the gas but still has no power
Hard to tell what that could be. But id check plugs wires. Maybe fuel lines sometimes they can get clogged. Maybe the throttle body needs to be cleaned. Or it could be a Catalytic converter going bad. I hope you find your solution sooner then later.
Hey man my truck been tribling bad while in park I change spark plugs to ngk platinum did that today and waiting for oreily to get the wires for them in , I poured some gas treatment in the gas tank when I filled it up to try that even try to adjust the idle in wondering like should I wait for the new wires to come in and install them before I do anything else or what u suggest or think it’s a 1994 Nissan d21 pickup hardbody 5 speed , w/ a 2.4L in it
First off dont use any Additives in these. Have you checked your vaccum lines for leaks? Motor mounts possibly? Is your trucks timing off? Hard to actually give an in depth suggestion because it could be a number of things. But to me it could be a Misfire maybe the distributor wiring not in order or your plugs and wires are fried giving you a Misfire which would be causing rough idle shaking poor acceleration engine surges.
Do u know why my truck dies a little when I start it and has idle issues? All the plugs, wires and belts are new, I tried putting a new distributor cap and rotor and that didn’t really work, do you know what the problem could be?
Your Timing can be a little off when you installed the New Distributor did you set to TDC? Also possibly a Vacuum leak somewhere, and Could be Fuel related Clogged Fuel Filter or an Intake issue Airbox filter possibly. What you need to do is start the elimination process or Run a Scanner on your Truck if it's OBD2 and try to see if anything is reading properly and firing at the correct time. Hope this can Answer something in your case Goodluck keep me updated.
Funny story. My 97 4cyl was doing the same thing. I bought two D21's off Craigslist for parts and had to pull them home about 40 miles. By the time I got back home with the second one, the dying and rough idle in mine had disappeared. I assume the EGR valve was clogged and the hard working of the engine burned up enough carbon in the EGR to correct the issue. Been running great for over 6 months now. FYI I had already replaced the plugs, cap, wires, 2nd temp. sensor and idle air control valve trying to fix the dying and rough idle on mine, so EGR is my bet.
Thanks for the video. I just got a D21 87 4cyl, 5spd manual XE on a trade for a Honda ATC. It’s got backfees and doesn’t pass smog, but it really surprises me on how well it handles. Haha. I’m looking to get it registered and use it as a work truck. Any links or forums you recommend so I can learn about these trucks? I want to try to dyi baseline maintenance . Thank you.
Perfect work truck/Drift track day truck. There is the Infamous Nissan Forums they teach about everything there is to know. 🙌 just gotta research a little on the situations you have and want to take care of. Best of luck welcome to the D21 life
Sounds like your leaking oil somewhere. Check your levels after filling and if its dropping fast locate all the gaskets areas and inspect them. Hopefully its not to late and you dont have any head damage. Goodluck
Could be Fuel related,Vaccum leak,Intake not on properly or a clogged fuel filter. Bad catalytic converter, Alternator not keeping charge. Its a long list of possibilities but start by checking those Components.
Good info & vid bud, also worth mentioning check the pcv (emissions related) valve that can lead to some bigger issues (fairly cheap $$$$). All filters should be new and good quality for optimal performance and good gas mileage. Last thing I would recommend is to invest in a good repair book like a Haynes or Chilton’s, worth every dime. Good luck to all.
It’s called a brake Self Proportioning Valve for that springy thing, I’ve been looking for a good substitute cause Nissan charges a fucking arm and leg
@@walthermartinez9516 if you know how to flare brake lines you can take the entire unit out and put a proportioning valve that is adjustable. Wilwood makes nice ones with 4 lines in 4 lines out that you can plug up to adapt it for different situations
I just did the job and got the valve off of Ebay for $300. Simple fix and bleed and my brakes are golden. The parts box says Made in India and if it lasts half as long as the one I took off I'm good.
