Dressed not in mourning but in black See the fire in our eyes Always ready to fight back Never hiding in disguise Many enemies bring much honour... The fighting man shall from the sun Take warmth and life from the glowing earth Speed with the light-foot winds to run And with the trees to newer birth An all-bright company of heaven Hold him in high comradeship The dog-star and the sister seven The Will to Power and a sworded hip The woodland trees that stand together They stand to him each one a friend Many enemies bring much honour... And when the burning moment breaks And all things else are out of mind And only joy of battle takes Him by the throat and makes him blind Through joy and blindness he shall know Not caring much to know that still Nor lead nor steel shall reach him so That it be not his Destined Will
For those pondering over the lyrics, Douglas did not pen these originally. This is his take on a Der Blutharsch song, recorded for the tribute "Fire Danger Season". He has, though, changed a few words. It's also worth noting that, as was often the case, Albin himself took most of these words from another source. In this case, it's the poem "Into Battle" by Julian Grenfell.
@@hormones9710 No, in both cases. Douglas was clearly covering (or reinterpreting) a Blutharsch track for a compilation put together by Albin which was dedicated to celebrating that project. As for Albin, I don't think that he has ever stated that he wrote the lyrics or has tried to pass them off as his own. Setting (old) poems to music is common in this "scene".
Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others, It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important, Only you know what is best for you. Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart Cling to that as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless. Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future. . .

@warjunky444 Sounds kind of like Hebrew to me? It is, it is a twice-daily prayer "Sh'ma Yisrael" : "Sh'ma Yisrael Adonai Elohenu Adonai Ecḥad". It translates as "Hear, O Israel: the Lord our G'd, the Lord is one"
albin did the song with douglas, i can´t remember ever having heard of a blutharsch track similar to this one... and albin changed his style, quite a lot ;)
That is from album Track Of The Hunted, track VIII. And it also appears on Speech Of Truth Will Be Eternal compilation, track XI. Both - the original and the Death In June version - are great!

Aryan is just a word for "nobility". If you are using it in terms of race. (i.e. white) Basques are Aryans too, but don't speak Indo-European.
Waffen-SS were weaklings?? What? hahaahaha!
Perhaps you are confusing with IDF cowards... killing civilians and unarmed people since 1948.
