It does feel like my life has had many different eras where friendships came and went. Change is the only constant, it seems. I understand about wanting to isolate while out in public, getting lost in music, a way to feel protected. It feels safer to stay in our own little world. And like you say, it can be fun to chat with people we don't know. Everyone has their stories and their unique experiences and perspectives on life. Some of my fondest memories are of just shooting the breeze with strangers. That dog is so cute.
