Alright🤷‍♀️ an extra $50 from birthday parties ended up in bank money, I think that actually goes to savings challenge bc that's where you broke it from...and $20 to savings challenge from drinks.🙈 All kidding aside, today's video was fun, honest and probably pretty accurate for most of us having to "math" & have a conversation in real life...loving all the content🥳

Thank you!! I ended up looking back at a video and I had $97 in my savings challenge when I started and so I made sure that’s what was in there when I put it back 🥰

From a special needs mama of a now 27yo son who is Autistic, I absolutely LOVE that you are thinking ahead and building a suite, just in case. The options for assistance as a special needs adult are very low in our state. We are actually considering renovating our current barn into a one-bedroom apartment for our son. You are awesome!

🥹🥹🥹 this! It blows my mind that there isn’t more support for adults with autism! There really isn’t anything in MN once they turn 18, so planning ahead is so important!

I love your videos. You are so inspiring!!! I love how you keep somethings private out of respect for your hubby. Sometimes I feel people share too much in order to be totally transparent to their viewers. It is amazing to see how much you care and think about your special needs child and his future. I always feel like I need more and must buy more in order to keep up with everyone else... You show me that it is acceptable and maybe preferable to be more minimalistic and think about the future and not the here and now. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and helping me stay on track with mine.

Suggestion to maybe make it easier so you can talk…figure out what needs to be left in the envelope instead of swapping money. So if you have $127 in envelope and spent $38 you know you need $89 left in the envelope. So you can just count out $89 to keep in envelope without swapping bills. I hope that makes sense 😂 I know everyone has to do what makes sense to oneself though 😉 Love your videos ❤

Agree!! the swap is hard to see, making change is easier to follow. If you have a 100 and you need to pay 80, just take 20 back instead of swapping the 100 bill then taking 80.

As a newly diagnosed autistic adult, I adore you thinking ahead about your son and thinking about what support he may need. Never got the support as a child since I went undiagnosed and there's next to nothing available for me now that I'm nearing 30 and appear "high-functioning".

I really, really enjoy your videos! I am a little late, well maybe a lot late to the budgeting/stuffing party, but hey, never too late, right? My hubby and I are retired. I’m 65 and he’s 70. We sold our house 4 years ago to become debt-free. I do have a credit card that I’m trying (and WILL) pay it off this year. So, being on a retirement and Social Security, I am trying to split my low income up so I can save. I do have my emergency fund at the first baby step plus a little extra. I love cash stuffing and saving so far. 😊

Loved the Q&A!!! I look like this when I’m counting money too lol but I calculate and recalculate all the time to make sure it’s right!!! We followed Dave Ramsey to get out of debt and when we were doing so, we cracked the whip super hard so we did not have any extra money…we literally paid bills and everything else went to debt…after two years of this (and also impacts of Covid) we decided to start saving and investing!!! If we hadn’t done that we could’ve gotten out of debt sooner but we also wanted to be in a good position just in case!!!

Our dream is very similar . We want to have land and a ranch house with a farm. We also have a special needs son that is 15. He had a stroke in utero and has Hemi cerebral palsy and epilepsy as well as a learning delay. Mentally he is about 7 years old. So we have similar goals on having a in law suite to keep him close but give him his independence. Love watching your videos. We also are on a budget laying down our debt and having sinking/cash funds. It helps so much to reach our goals. Thanks for sharing. ❤ much love from our channel Kimberley and Scooter Jamieson/6breakingloose ❤
