When you enter coach and round that corner, extended footrests might be a real pain. Beef up the kitchen a bit - cover on sink, a little larger microwave, and a little less flimsy stove/oven.

I’ve own this exact model for 8 mo. And love it has great storage, kibble draw is in bedroom. Love that you can have slide in and still able to sleep in bed. Only dislike is overhead bed only holds 250 pounds. We so enjoy being able to walk around bed, had a class c with corner bed and hated it.
Many more than 3 things I liked about that coach. Really liked the pocket doors and large shower. Do not like the TV location in the saloon/living room, if you are on the couch or at the dinette you can not see the TV. Not a fan of overhead bunks, prefer a jackknife couch that is large enough to make a nice bed. Oh and about the doggie/kitty window, that is a very good safety device for the driver. That location is a blind spot and the window location allows the driver to see if a car is running in that blind spot. Was a great presentation. Informative yet light enough to come across as friendly and happy. Especially when you would include your wife in the conversations.
Okay. Nice motor home. For what it is. Now 3 things I like. 1. The funny guy in the red shirt. I like him. His camera crew is pretty good too. 2. The sliding door on bathroom. Almost makes you feel like more privacy then a swing door. 3. The cat window. Its pretty cool. I dont like. 1. The passenger side laptop table can infact obstruct your view of the mirror. In case if a possible emergency manoeuver the laptop will actually be in the way. 2. Cargo doors could use better latching system. 3. There's a step ladder on the big bed in the back. I think that would make for an uncomfortable sleep. LOL.
I like the floor plan. Four televisions? One outside, 2 in the living room/kitchen area and one in the bedroom. One on the middle wall would fine for me. I agree with you about the over rating of the hitch.
Hey Matt - thanks for a great review. I am one of the first time RV buyers you mention in the video (after 10+ years of pulling). One thing we really like about our 2017 ACE 30.3 is the floor plan. It is almost exactly what you and Jen were discussing as a possible floor plan change. Our coach is right across from the pop up TV which is next to the door then next to that is the sink. So far we have had no significant problems with our unit.
Kibble station is at foot of Master bed. Disagree on location of theater seats. They're fine where they are. We have a ACE 33.1. Good decision to buy it. Good presentation.
Matt, thanks so much for this review; the 33DS was a request from me and I appreciate you taking the time to give us the review. I recently walked through the 34DS and was disappointed at the interior quality . I know, what can you expect for a $100k, right???! (I’m being sarcastic). I noticed simple things like the rear bath toilet was plastic, yet, the 1/2 bath was porcelain. The sliding pocket door separating the bedroom had no bottom floor hinge so the door was able to sway back and forth like a clock pendulum at the bottom. Overall, it just looked “plastic” all over. Again, disappointed. This model offered everything I was looking for; major storage, king bed, 2 AC’s, TV/FP combo directly in front of the seating area, dining table and booth are huge and comfy, but....just afraid I’d always be glueing, brad nailing or adding something for a more secure coach. Oh Well, my journey continues to look. Thanks again,

It doesn’t have to be fancy but in 10 to 15 years you wish you would’ve had paint. 😡 that overhead bunk should’ve been stepped up from 250 to 500 pounds. 😡 You forgot to give us the MSRP. Wife and I both said we can do that motorhome. Curious with the price is. Dislikes: Don’t like that the overhead bed/storage is only 250 pounds seems a bit low. Hate hate hate the storage door latches. No cover for the sink, but I understand it’s because of that type countertop. The pluses for us. The open feeling. Looks like a lot of underneath storage for that level motorhome. Roof looks pretty clean and ready for solar panels in different areas. Slide outs on one side. Ladder. Oven (wife wants). The two way refrigerator. I’m a big guy and the passenger pull out tray looks like it would even work for me, where most of them don’t. Also as a big guy it looks like the bathroom is nice and the shower would be very comfortable for me. Cat window. Ok that’s more then three. Sidenote we absolutely hate the top and bottom center swing hinges on the bathroom doors that Newmar started using.s

Good video. I don't like the twist locks on the doors either. Seems like they would be prone to come open going down the road. I do like the larger shower. Just for the record, it is a CPAP and not a sleep PAP. Just thought I would throw that out there due to the whole Cummins thing.

Regarding the missing Kibble station, it's apparent that the twin bowl insert under the stove hasn't been inserted yet. Check the bedroom closet or in a drawer or cabinet or compartment or even the oven for this "missing" insert. Someone there forgot to slip it in...This isn't about a Thor misrepresentation, it is rather the dealer's oversight!...Be Fair!

i love that it has lots of storage inside and outside, the size of the shower, and the roomy bedroom. I don't like that there is no washer/dryer hookups, the seats don't swivel around, and I don't like beige color for the outside. Silver, gray, or even white will be so much better! Otherwise, I do think it's a nice RV!
I see the Windsport 33X has the door moved down, different layout also, but the sofa is moved over where you said it should be and the door is more centered. Interesting.

I really liked that one. It has the bunks and bunk over the cab. I have a large family. I have triplets and 10 grandchildren and 2 great. I want something I can put at my son’s house. I am looking for a full time home in an rv or travel trailer. That way I can park at any of my three kids home. 😊

Yeah, like the pocket doors, can close off this area from the living and bedroom area. We've had ours for 4 years, taken 4 trips from Nova Scotia to Washington. Love the rv life

I dislike exterior TVs, wish it was an option. I dislike the bedroom TV on a cabinet door. It won't last long. I like the integrated cameras and I hope they can be configured to a DVR as security cameras. I like the sliding doors I like the amount of lockable exterior storage and the drains. I I hope your new employer allows you to be just as honest as your last one. What do the manufacturers think of your honesty?

Material used for seating is thin, easily damaged. Same goes for the shit quality linoleum floor. I have had more damage done to mine by service techs then my own wear and tear.
Nice floor plan 3 things I don't like.. the bunk over the cab. Doesn't seem like enough space. the drawers under the dinette, very short, and the locks on the storage doors. I do like the nice big shower and oven

Matt, you have 88 listed in the specks below on the Ace. Is that a mistake. Also, I love your videos and when I comment I mean no harm. Just like to jack you up now and then.
Matt sat on the toilet and complained about the lack of a kibble drawer which was directly in front of him, same place as all other ACEs as far as I know.
I don’t like the location of the frig! It’s too tight there. I would rather have a desk space than the love seat...that would be a good option to add. I also don’t like the day/night shades. Those strings rot in the sun. Would rather have mcd shades for day/night. I do like the pocket doors, the shower, and the doggie window.
Dislikes...… 1} 150 max lbs. on the overhead bumk. 2} the "couch" under the tv is not wide enough. 3} There should be an extension which drops down off the ladder.
Critique Time: You didn't talk about the drop-down loft that can handle 600lbs. You also couldn't show the Kibble Station which is hiding in the bathroom.
The V10 is going bye bye this year as well as the 6 speed according to Ford. Their new 7.3 pushrod V8 and 10 speed will be used all the way up to medium duty trucks. I’ve had 3 different V10’s over the years and it’s not a bad engine but it’s very mid range and top end for the power band. That coupled with the 2 extra cylinders makes it extremely loud! If I was going to buy anything on a F53 chassis I’d get the best deal possible and then insist on another 5K off if it had the V10. Now since no dealer will do that walk away, a few months after the new V8’s become available the prices on rigs like this will drop like a lead weight.
It’s been all over the auto and truck channels for a couple of months. They supposedly are going to use it all the way up to the F550. When Ford went to the 6 speed tq shift the MH industry in particular had a huge lag because Ford and the manufacturers wanted to use up existing chassis’s. The new engine trans combo might be a bust (although I doubt it) but as you probably know all to well they V10 sounds like a B17 on takeoff climbing a hill. #1 Like the Winegard WiFi, Solar connection, Two AC's on the roof. #2 80 GASOLINE gallon fuel capacity, #3 Paint Scheme & interior colors. I know it isn't but the dinette reminds me of Flexsteel. #4 Larger oven, #5 larger shower. #6 The GOLDEN RETRIEVER window ;) DISLIKES #1 It's a THOR, #2 Absorption Fridge......switch to a compressor fridge. #3 The drop down bunk, especially with a low weight limit, #4 The head crank to watch T.V. #5 Cargo door latches, #6 It's a THOR! I would only buy one if it had a extended service plan tossed in for free

Likes: counter space, sleeps a lot of people, big sink. Dislikes: only one bathroom, not diesel, not whisper quite air. I do understand it’s not an expensive RV so hard to really find too many dislikes, more likes than dislikes actually!

I really liked that one. It has the bunks and bunk over the cab. I have a large family. I have triplets and 10 grandchildren and 2 great. I want something I can put at my son’s house. I am looking for a full time home in an rv or travel trailer. That way I can park at any of my three kids home. 😊

@@MattsRVReviews Our 30.1, 2016 ACE is under the shower. I like ours better since the shower is on one side and the toilet is on the other. Yeah, like the pocket doors, can close off this area from the living and bedroom area. We've had ours for 4 years, taken 4 trips from Nova Scotia to Washington. Love the rv life

Matt, like 2 Ac, large kitchen sink, large shower and storage. Dislike no washer/dryer, the storage door latches, 8,000 lbs hitch, no resadental refrigerator. Where's the stinky slinky go? While I am thinking about it, is there any class c with a stackable washer/dryer and a residential refrigerator? Hope you and your family are settling in with your new home! PS love the kitty window! Material used for seating is thin, easily damaged. Same goes for the shit quality linoleum floor. I have had more damage done to mine by service techs then my own wear and tear.
Nice floor plan 3 things I don't like.. the bunk over the cab. Doesn't seem like enough space. the drawers under the dinette, very short, and the locks on the storage doors. I do like the nice big shower and oven

I don’t like the location of the frig! It’s too tight there. I would rather have a desk space than the love seat...that would be a good option to add. I also don’t like the day/night shades. Those strings rot in the sun. Would rather have mcd shades for day/night. I do like the pocket doors, the shower, and the doggie window.

The V10 is going bye bye this year as well as the 6 speed according to Ford. Their new 7.3 pushrod V8 and 10 speed will be used all the way up to medium duty trucks. I’ve had 3 different V10’s over the years and it’s not a bad engine but it’s very mid range and top end for the power band. That coupled with the 2 extra cylinders makes it extremely loud! If I was going to buy anything on a F53 chassis I’d get the best deal possible and then insist on another 5K off if it had the V10. Now since no dealer will do that walk away, a few months after the new V8’s become available the prices on rigs like this will drop like a lead weight.
when and where are you seeing this about the V8's????
It’s been all over the auto and truck channels for a couple of months. They supposedly are going to use it all the way up to the F550. When Ford went to the 6 speed tq shift the MH industry in particular had a huge lag because Ford and the manufacturers wanted to use up existing chassis’s. The new engine trans combo might be a bust (although I doubt it) but as you probably know all to well they V10 sounds like a B17 on takeoff climbing a hill. If you need some links to check it out let me know.
The info have seen shows only the F series getting the new engine, I have seen nothing about the Econolines getting it yet.
#1 Like the Winegard WiFi, Solar connection, Two AC's on the roof. #2 80 GASOLINE gallon fuel capacity, #3 Paint Scheme & interior colors. I know it isn't but the dinette reminds me of Flexsteel. #4 Larger oven, #5 larger shower. #6 The GOLDEN RETRIEVER window ;)
DISLIKES #1 It's a THOR, #2 Absorption Fridge......switch to a compressor fridge. #3 The drop down bunk, especially with a low weight limit, #4 The head crank to watch T.V. #5 Cargo door latches, #6 It's a THOR! I would only buy one if it had a extended service plan tossed in for free
