I think something that a lot of people don't know is that Rush Duels have been popping off in Japan for years. So Konami going straight into Go Rush makes sense.
That's problem Konami has. Many people dgaf about Rush Duels. Only one country likes it. And unless a majority of the player base is from Japan, it's not gonna help. Konami literally had to shut down irl Speed Duels.
The fact that they never even TRIED to drop rush outside of OCG land sucks tho. They really thought rush would crash the second the cards were in English

finally, someone with common sense. the duel links community sometimes seems like a psych ward. like, they are so negative about everything, its insane. its to the point where I dont consider myself part of the community, bc I actually enjoy the game and its updates. for example the "rush drama" that you also mentioned. I dont understand why people are hating, the same currency is actually good, bc you can just lvl the rush chars and spend the gems on speed, if you so choose. and you certainly dont have to spend any gems, to level up the rush chars, so where is even the problem, I still dont get it.
The game is so dead we just got a big ui update, we are getting a new world, we keep getting new content, there is no cue time when you play on ladder (at least for me), this is exactly how a dead game looks like
Yeah exactly, with another game to support Yugioh has got twice as expensive with half the gems locked behind rush duel. Perhaps whales don't feel this change, but f2p players do
Bro I uninstalled master duel recently too. Komonoey makes Yu-Gi-Oh trash but at least when I play duel links, I can play multiple CPU characters and duel like I'm in the anime and I don't feel so shitty when I lose, especially when I'm not trying to play meta BS.
Duel links wont "die" untill Yu-Gi-Oh anime is finished. Thats the point of Duel links, it mimics the anime. So as long as the anime continues theres going to be a consistent amount of new content.

I prefer playing anime decks and more casual. It also helps that I quit yugioh years ago and only got back in through duel links and learned all the new mechanics through it. I can’t be bothered with master duel cuz there are thousands of cards and new mechanics I don’t understand. And ya I got bored of this game and quit twice yet I’m still here. Only 2 1year hiatus.

Facts! I have multiple accounts with maxed gems for last months n the speed it takes to release a main (speed) box I took a month break n still there's no new box Rush destroyed this game entirely

Not being able to reach the very top ranks in PvP with whatever dog ass deck you're using and then being upset that better decks exist that can stomp yours? Because in no way is Duel Links *literally* unplayable, and the only thing causing actual frustrations right now are the current meta decks and partially how powerful Skills are generally - which has also already existed before to an extent. So, what are you talking about?
So far, I love how Rush duel has generic support and the archetype cards are very few. Really makes you think more about deckbuilding compared to Speed or Master Duel.
for me Rush Duels really needs a separate gem currency because all the gems that I grind on that world goes to Speed boxes. Just like right now, they released a Cyber Dragon structure deck in Rush that u can buy 3 copies of it for 500 gems but because its using the same gem currency and the fact that Lyrilusc/Windwitch Speed box came out, I endded up investing in the Speed box instead of buying 3 copies of the Rush Structure deck (Its rough for F2P to choose between Speed and Rush)
Imo, duel links isnt dying any time soon. I do find that konami IS shoting themselves on the foot for some of their decisions, and by not changing on those bad decisions, they seen to not fix their problens, they rather create new ones. For example, we just got the ui revamp, and people are super happy about it, sharing their home screen with others and all that, makes you wonder, if the music room wasnt a paid feature, would it be the same? But that kind of thing wont kill the game. Also, unlike most people, i think that both formats sharing gems is a great decision, it doesnt matter if its a speed or rush event, you get gems that you can use in whatever format you want. Now, if they were separated, you would only have a certain amount of each format, which would probably make deck building much harder, havinf less gems for each format. This would also make so you cant pick what you want, rush gems are to be used on rush, speed gems on speed, doesnt matter if you want the last speed box, what you have left are rush gems, and the event right now is a rush event, so you gonna wait a week or so for you to pull more speed packs... I have yet to see a counter argument to this that isnt just "konami would just give us more gems", "make so we get speed gems normally and rush gems only for rush kc and rush kog", or "let us exchange rush gems and speed gems"... All which are stupid takes, konami giving us more gems would work with separated currencies, but it would also work with shared currency as well, this is wishful thinking, because konami would not do that in neither scenarios. Giving more speed gems and less rush gems solves nothing. And exchanging the 2 currencies for each other would be shared currencies with extra steps. Ngl, i dont like the way we are rn, we are getting A LOT of products back to back, and not enough gems to support the f2p players, before i could dig every box once or twice before another one hit, now? I barelly finish one, theres another coming out, the worst case being that 1 time we had a rush box only to get a speed box in a bit over week! The true problem tho, is not in currecies, its in pack filler, boxes are bloated with redundant amount of copies of R ans N cards, even worse are the reprints, this is yugioh, we only need 3 of each card, theres no point in having 10+ of each R and N card for every run of a box. If konami were to lower the amount of packs by removing a good amount of R and N cards, that would already solve a lot the problems with people not having enough gems for both formats. But imo, one of the best things konami could do to ease people into playing rush, would be to give them rush cards. Like, going back to the duelist pass, whe rush was released, konami gave the OPTION of pixking between rush and speed packs... Now, we do pay 2x the amout of packs we get for the duel pass, what they could have done, was give both speed and rush packs, so instead of paying 500 gems, and getting 250 worth of packs for one format or the other, we would get 500 worth, 250 of each format... But like i said at start, konami doesnt fix their problems, they rather make new ones.
Okay Team 6K i hear you.. but you can't tell me that the game is as fun as it was.. Let me give you an example: Two days ago I was playing in a team wars match and right Infront of me a guy who can't tell the difference between a trap and a spell... and he won because he is playing with a skill that summons five monsters going second .. every time i clean he's field the skill fills it again. Rush worlds may not be killing my beautiful game but these stupid skills are.
I can tell you that based on my own opinion, the game is more fun now than it has ever been. What you're describing isn't something that is unique to skills, a deck being more powerful than the one you are playing is going to lead to the one playing needing less skill to be able to win, that is something that has existed in all card games, its something thats existed in duel links before. Amazoness and Fur Hires were so powerful that you could get to king of games with no sweat dripping from your forehead, and you didn't even have to be good at the game. Skills are only allowing these decks to do what other decks are capable of without skills. And to be honest, "fun" is a subjective metric, as everybody finds different things fun. -Undead
@@team6kdl my point is skill didn't play the decks for us like they do now . Back in the day we sometimes didn't even need a skill so we put LB skill . With all these new broken skills dropping in the game and konami still thinks Balance was too powerful skill and didn't return it to the way it was. I've played the game from day one... Never in all that time felt like its time to leave it just like how i feel now
Been playing this game since it first released and then a few breaks here and there throughout the years but this year I got back into it in February and the game has been so much fun. I thought it would just be another weekly phase like the years prior but I genuinely think this year has been the best, despite the metas and whatnot. I hope this game has many more years to come.

The recen banlist is definetly not helping you play speed formar unless you already invested in the top tier decks, I can't believe they didn't touch the deck that won the KC cup or adjust the skill they are using to lock your field (fleur)
steam may not tell the entire story but it can show a disinterest over time. Generally speaking, when the steam count gets lower that generally means the overall player count among other devices to play the game is lower as well. That being said, I see NO reason for the game to be shut down, I feel like it's another easy way for konami to print money even if it's population isn't as high as it used to be.
Play duel links > master duel comes out > play master duel for 6 months > leave master duel and comeback to play duel links again until now 😂 (this is my experience)
Honestly, people acting like Rush is DL's downfall is so funny as if the whole doomtalking didn't exist before. Also Loom really thinks Go Rush is an "uncompleted" world just because the anime isn't over in Japan yet - even though they could easily add plenty of characters already since it's in its last season anyway. I would like a proper Rush Duel game outside of DL but since there's none that isn't outdated already, Rush fans more or less are stuck with DL.

I love duel links but damn hope they minimize the character skills, skills are meant to improvised your deck. Like legend of heroes, life point boost, tie that binds these skills are actual skills.
I haven't really checked out Rush, because I don't want to split my gems. Still got too many speed decks I want to finish. Having Fusion opening up in Rush could prompt me to give it another shot though
Thank you team 6k, this is the single most annoying thing I’ve found about the duel links community. For example I used to like watching mekklord but every one of that guys videos is just him whining and moaning excessively to the point where it’s hard to watch. I’ve been playing this game since launch and seen every meta, are there things I like and dislike about the game? Sure. But it’s impressive to me that I’ve been playing this game consistently for seven years and can queue up a match in seconds still when I go on ranked. The game isn’t dying at all and has so much more potential and more to offer in the future I hope
Never played the game until April this year. As a fan, I watched up to the arc with the purple frames and giant monsters 'inspired' from the Nasca lines (idk how the arc was called in the dub). And I'm so glad I chose DL back then. Besides the 3 decks I DESPISE with a passion (BEWD, Toons & Yubel), it's been fun so far. And I know for a fact that when I will finally stop going for a rank game with whichever character I find myself with when I switch to that window: I will start climbing fast! D/D/D, Aromages & Perfomages are so much fun!! 😊
I love DL and have played since day one. But the trajectory it's on isn't great in terms of player retention. I pray these big updates help and bring people back. Sunken cost fallacy maybe haha. Steam Charts is one metric, but things like Google Trends and other aggregators help to generalize it. Duel Links is also absurdly monetized. Whales be whaling... Im whales.
Poeple should realize how popular Rush is also the animes are good too but poeple should just realize that they do care about fans like im a big Rush fan and mainly use my gems im saving 5k rn for more Rush content
Every game where people are playing for YEARS and YEARS in a row with a live service model has doom posters. On one hand it's good because the people who love the game should be critical about it so the devs keep trying to make the game even better, and also a game has to be really good to keep people playing for literal YEARS. Having any form of entertainment be followed by people for years is pretty insane. This doesn't happen with books or movies, pretty much just sports and live service games. But they're clearly very different areas with different reasons for long term investment. The only reason competitive card games and such thrive is through emulating the same kind of hype as sports. But how many people actually follow top card game players? They lack sponsors and money and marketing. They don't hold communities together like sports teams do. It's not an easy thing to maintain hype about a game like this.
I can’t stand Loom and his takes. The only reason why people listen to him is because of his arrogance and if you call him out he’ll just call you stupid and laugh at you on stream and all his followers just blindly listen to him. But most of his takes have been wrong in the past.
Loom occassionally pulls his head out of his rear and says something of worth, this video is just straight up a lie and coping mechanism by a non aware tool.
"Galaxy gamers" is how galaxy services keep track of concurrent players. Its actually another metric that can be followed and that alone makes steam look pitiful.
Unfortunately I only have access to my phone, and I can't seem to find a link for these at all. There's a "gaming hub" basically a glorified folder on galaxy phones that your games automatically go to but also has "details" you can click for each game that has your play time and players per day. You can go as far back as 32 weeks. The last 2 weeks(during kc cup) were about 41k players but before was around 36-38k players and is now back to that. I wish I had more specific information and links for it but this is the best I can do.
Unfortunately, no link I could find with the stats. Modern galaxy phones have "gaming hub" which you can view details about you play time and players per day going back 32 weeks. I don't know how they get the numbers but it was at about 41k average per day during kc cup and is now down to like 25k a day
@@team6kdl I personally haven’t watched go rush but did watch the first 2 seasons of sevens. However, them adding go rush without the anime being done leads me to believe they are going to have a new anime on the horizon.
I don't get people acting like this is an issue. Go Rush ends in March 2025. We got the information of it getting 151 episodes in total when we first heard about Go Rush dub news. This weekend ends arc 10 of Go Rush. (arcs in Rush anime usually have 13 episodes) In Go Rush's case, we are only missing like 24 episodes till it's over. Since DL uses the pre-time skip designs for the Ohdo twins (aka season 1 style), they will probably retell the story of the anime so it's no problem that the anime isn't over yet.
For me Duel Links died when the skills no longer had ties to characters, instead just fixing whatever deck they want to sell. Does this deck have consistency issues? No worries, just plop a skill that literally gives them 5 cards so they can fusion summon this big monster that is otherwise pretty inconsistent to summon. And despite this, extra extra and destiny draw still never got unnerfed so you can't do fun things like play lp rollercoaster to use d draw every turn. Former Top 100 Global btw.
personally i don't like rush duel as a whole but i think it's important to have it for everyone thath enjoys it, the only problem I have for both sides is that when there's an event for one format, the other one has nothing and that feels so awful considering that's one of the main selling point the game had. Linking what I said about the events earlier and your point of "you don't have to play rush duels", i think it's just wrong because if you want rewards or characters (the way you get currency to obtain cards), you have to consider the other half of the game
leveling rush characters was one of the worst experience I had with the game in a while, also starting from scratch again as a really low spender is horrible, i bought 2 or 3 of the dark magician girl structure just to farm with a "competent" farming deck to earn gems and let's just be real, the real problem with the game is how small is the amount of gems you get for how the gacha works and how many copies you need of each high rarity card with all of that being said the game is nowhere near dead, if it survived one year of blue eyes karma cut format I think it's immortal at this point
I still can clearly remember that when Mokuba (The OG one) released, I thought the game would die, then I keep playing until 5DS when the meta was so bad that I though the game would definitely die. Then the DSoD world came in and I though the game would die for sure. Then the Arc-V world came and, to be honest, was one of my peaks of enjoyment. Then Vrains came out, and still felt it, then Rush came and I felt the game would be dying pretty soon for how boxes would be handled. Here you see me now, waiting for Yuri to release to play my predap deck, and having a full Odd-eyes deck just waiting for support, so yeah, the game isn't dying yet 😂
My friends and me got to play some rush these weeks and we've concluded that we're having more fun there. Using decks that summon maximums is REALLY exciting and we all have picked a deck and character to main lol. Cant wait for fusions soon

I must say initially I thought that rush duel was lame but now they added more cards it's not that bad. I'm still predominantly a speed player and a very casual one at that. Personally what is killing the game is broken skills, yes I understand that releasing some to make certain cards desirable and playable is great but some of the skills are actually mental. Since the onomat skill they've just kept pushing it and pushing it to the point deck building is sort of irrelevant. You play a 20 card deck but you have a skill that gives free consistency, which means you end up using about 6 cards and the duel is over in like 3-4 turns. That's what kills the game for basically everyone that isn't using the top 4-5 decks, eventually playing against the same few decks just trying to hit KoG or KC cup is going to get really annoying.
I played duel links since the beginnig but it keep much worse than becoming good. Gems are very hard to farm and ıf u want a 3 copy of specific card you need to refresh the box. Or craft a good cards. In Master duel, you can craft anything with little effort. I liked duel links because the voice lines(suprise I am a big fan of yugioh anime). I was build a character deck and play the rival or some character in the gate to duel like an anime. They don't upgrade their deck. Man Yami Yugi is still playing myhtical beast shit. They maybe can add higher lvl to make an proper deck. If they do I am gonna definetly play this game.
I started playing since before GX world released and I don't know what you're talking about, lol. I played the game a lot but I *still missed* some events because I either got really hooked onto a different game or didn't have the time for Duel Links for a little while. I farmed up a bunch of its gems (*still* haven't completed all of the World stages missions and haven't fully leveled up every character) and I have literally every deck I was looking to build and more, not even counting Rush Duels which I also made a few decks for now.

I'm sure that he has said some good things over the years, but I personally stopped checking out most of his stuff - especially since he is blaming every bad thing happening in the universe on Rush duels existing. My main issues with Rush is it’s yes- too simplistic to a point where it feels more luck reliant than skill reliant, and the duels ironically take too damn long.
There's ACKSHUALLY, surprisingly a bit more depth to Rush than you'd think. Because you get a new hand every round there's decision making to do to thin out cards in hand that you could continue without. Got a "Pierce" in hand? 1500 LP left? Can you survive the next wave of attacks to possibly come back on? (Yeah it's kind of sacky and luck based there). Set "Pierce"? Play it? Do you have a slot to possibly fake the trap? Either way you need to get rid of it to get 1 extra draw, if you set it you can lose it to removal. If you play it on a monster but have no DEF monsters to attack into it'll be a waste but next turn you'll get +1 more card. Is your backrow full? You can take this attack and have LP left for next turn but if you don't use your "The Barrier" now you won't have a backrow slot to use to play "Tribute to the Doomed". Are you going to use "Summoning Sorcerer Doretheo" effect and start stacking your graveyard now and risk losing your [Legend] card or do you ball and set your GY up for "Talismanic Seal Array". Etc. If you're playing with Maximum Cards though i do find it lame that you're just playing stall Solitare until you get your big boss out but Unlike Exodia it'll take at least 2 or 3 turns with it to win. All in all it's not *that* bad. Could definitely be worse. It's better than loading up a Speed duel and losing the coin flip and watch your opponent play Mayakashi or Shiranui setting up their board for 5 minutes. Or Battle Chronicle! DM or BE flow chart into same boards over and over.

However i wpuld instantly switch to master duel if they ported all the characters, summon animations and voice lines straight to master duel. Basiclaly duel links if it was using the full irl game rules
I love Duel links it has always been my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game but now lately it has tired me but it is a good game but they should give it a lot more work and Pokémon tcg for me is the best card game

Forbidden Droplet is the best out, but that is selection box exclusive for now which is rough. Other useful outs to Nightingale are ice dragon's prison, drowning mirror force, or even something like flying "c".
The only time there's a user spike is with a new world, new worlds don't attract anymore and keeps being lower meaning that despite the naive apologists Rush is simply not succesful or not catching steam (still). Yeah, DL is in bad shape since the only thing left are the whales dependant since new players aren't arriving beyond novelty of the 2 weeks On top of that it's nugioh so they get alienated even faster And ON TOP OF THAT there's the continued degradation of the quality since year 2-3 and skills screw up since dsod era, DL used to be good. That's the trend you can get from steam, on mobile numbers should be bigger. DL isn't getting EoS, konami is milking it until it fades out. I find funny how the curve goes hard since Zexal world; the "black cards killed ygo" doesn't seem a complete running joke... buy blackwings... please

Good vid 6k, the negativity is insane. I mean i personally don't like rush, however, gems are gems in the end and now that my favorite archetype is starting to get integrated to DL I just play what I want and enjoy it. I don't see DL dying for some time.
The negativity is actually warranted, if you willfully ingorant dummies would pay attention for once, the state of the game is horrendous and its konami's fkn fault, just look at pvp, legend was sposes to be where meta trash dies down, but thats all ive been facing for weeks now, and all of it is skill abusing fkholetry.
New viewer as I try to learn tenyi and I wanted to say thank you for being honest about a game I have been playing since there was only 5 boxes out. A lot of these other duel link channels just love to bash and not teach.

Isn't Rush more popular in Japan than the US? Rush is an addition to the game and doesn't destroy the overall enjoyment of speed duels. I go to work almost every day, and I get 1 hour breaks so, Duel Links is ideal for me to pass the time.
Sorry but I'm not bias ... the game is done 4.. a new update won't fix the previous problems the game suffers from it was a nice run by the game out of fun. It would be better off once they announce end of service comes it's just a matter of time just like the hourglass when u play PVP time is ticking.....

I just reinstalled the game after years of not playing. Game has lots of life and replay-ability. Rush duel is actually fun if you don’t auto bot your account

I prefer playing anime decks and more casual. It also helps that I quit yugioh years ago and only got back in through duel links and learned all the new mechanics through it.

So far, I love how Rush duel has generic support and the archetype cards are very few. Really makes you think more about deckbuilding compared to Speed or Master Duel.
for me Rush Duels really needs a separate gem currency because all the gems that I grind on that world goes to Speed boxes. Just like right now, they released a Cyber Dragon structure deck in Rush that u can buy 3 copies of it for 500 gems but because its using the same gem currency and the fact that Lyrilusc/Windwitch Speed box came out, I endded up investing in the Speed box instead of buying 3 copies of the Rush Structure deck (Its rough for F2P to choose between Speed and Rush)

Imo, duel links isnt dying any time soon.
I do find that konami IS shoting themselves on the foot for some of their decisions, and by not changing on those bad decisions, they seen to not fix their problens, they rather create new ones.
For example, we just got the ui revamp, and people are super happy about it, sharing their home screen with others and all that, makes you wonder, if the music room wasnt a paid feature, would it be the same?
But that kind of thing wont kill the game.
Also, unlike most people, i think that both formats sharing gems is a great decision, it doesnt matter if its a speed or rush event, you get gems that you can use in whatever format you want.
Now, if they were separated, you would only have a certain amount of each format, which would probably make deck building much harder, havinf less gems for each format.
This would also make so you cant pick what you want, rush gems are to be used on rush, speed gems on speed, doesnt matter if you want the last speed box, what you have left are rush gems, and the event right now is a rush event, so you gonna wait a week or so for you to pull more speed packs...
I have yet to see a counter argument to this that isnt just "konami would just give us more gems", "make so we get speed gems normally and rush gems only for rush kc and rush kog", or "let us exchange rush gems and speed gems"...
All which are stupid takes, konami giving us more gems would work with separated currencies, but it would also work with shared currency as well, this is wishful thinking, because konami would not do that in neither scenarios.
Giving more speed gems and less rush gems solves nothing.
And exchanging the 2 currencies for each other would be shared currencies with extra steps.
Ngl, i dont like the way we are rn, we are getting A LOT of products back to back, and not enough gems to support the f2p players, before i could dig every box once or twice before another one hit, now? I barelly finish one, theres another coming out, the worst case being that 1 time we had a rush box only to get a speed box in a bit over week!
The true problem tho, is not in currecies, its in pack filler, boxes are bloated with redundant amount of copies of R ans N cards, even worse are the reprints, this is yugioh, we only need 3 of each card, theres no point in having 10+ of each R and N card for every run of a box.
If konami were to lower the amount of packs by removing a good amount of R and N cards, that would already solve a lot the problems with people not having enough gems for both formats.
But imo, one of the best things konami could do to ease people into playing rush, would be to give them rush cards.
Like, going back to the duelist pass, whe rush was released, konami gave the OPTION of pixking between rush and speed packs...
Now, we do pay 2x the amout of packs we get for the duel pass, what they could have done, was give both speed and rush packs, so instead of paying 500 gems, and getting 250 worth of packs for one format or the other, we would get 500 worth, 250 of each format...
But like i said at start, konami doesnt fix their problems, they rather make new ones.

Two days ago I was playing in a team wars match and right Infront of me a guy who can't tell the difference between a trap and a spell... and he won because he is playing with a skill that summons five monsters going second .. every time i clean he's field the skill fills it again.
Rush worlds may not be killing my beautiful game but these stupid skills are.
I can tell you that based on my own opinion, the game is more fun now than it has ever been. What you're describing isn't something that is unique to skills, a deck being more powerful than the one you are playing is going to lead to the one playing needing less skill to be able to win, that is something that has existed in all card games, its something thats existed in duel links before. Amazoness and Fur Hires were so powerful that you could get to king of games with no sweat dripping from your forehead, and you didn't even have to be good at the game. Skills are only allowing these decks to do what other decks are capable of without skills. And to be honest, "fun" is a subjective metric, as everybody finds different things fun. -Undead

Been playing this game since it first released and then a few breaks here and there throughout the years but this year I got back into it in February and the game has been so much fun. I thought it would just be another weekly phase like the years prior but I genuinely think this year has been the best, despite the metas and whatnot. I hope this game has many more years to come.

Duel Links died when my favorite deck fell out of the meta and I was too much of a hater to adopt a new one.
steam may not tell the entire story but it can show a disinterest over time. Generally speaking, when the steam count gets lower that generally means the overall player count among other devices to play the game is lower as well. That being said, I see NO reason for the game to be shut down, I feel like it's another easy way for konami to print money even if it's population isn't as high as it used to be.

Honestly, people acting like Rush is DL's downfall is so funny as if the whole doomtalking didn't exist before. Also Loom really thinks Go Rush is an "uncompleted" world just because the anime isn't over in Japan yet - even though they could easily add plenty of characters already since it's in its last season anyway.
I would like a proper Rush Duel game outside of DL but since there's none that isn't outdated already, Rush fans more or less are stuck with DL.

I love duel links but damn hope they minimize the character skills, skills are meant to improvised your deck. Like legend of heroes, life point boost, tie that binds these skills are actual skills.
If anything, Rush Duels gave us more gems as there’s two ladders to grind now. Thunder is pretty easy to obtain and climb with too

For example I used to like watching mekklord but every one of that guys videos is just him whining and moaning excessively to the point where it’s hard to watch. I’ve been playing this game since launch and seen every meta, are there things I like and dislike about the game? Sure. But it’s impressive to me that I’ve been playing this game consistently for seven years and can queue up a match in seconds still when I go on ranked. The game isn’t dying at all and has so much more potential and more to offer in the future I hope

As a fan, I watched up to the arc with the purple frames and giant monsters 'inspired' from the Nasca lines (idk how the arc was called in the dub). And I'm so glad I chose DL back then.
Besides the 3 decks I DESPISE with a passion (BEWD, Toons & Yubel), it's been fun so far.
And I know for a fact that when I will finally stop going for a rank game with whichever character I find myself with when I switch to that window: I will start climbing fast!

Every game where people are playing for YEARS and YEARS in a row with a live service model has doom posters. On one hand it's good because the people who love the game should be critical about it so the devs keep trying to make the game even better, and also a game has to be really good to keep people playing for literal YEARS. Having any form of entertainment be followed by people for years is pretty insane. This doesn't happen with books or movies, pretty much just sports and live service games. But they're clearly very different areas with different reasons for long term investment. The only reason competitive card games and such thrive is through emulating the same kind of hype as sports. But how many people actually follow top card game players? They lack sponsors and money and marketing. They don't hold communities together like sports teams do. It's not an easy thing to maintain hype about a game like this.

Unfortunately I only have access to my phone, and I can't seem to find a link for these at all. There's a "gaming hub" basically a glorified folder on galaxy phones that your games automatically go to but also has "details" you can click for each game that has your play time and players per day. You can go as far back as 32 weeks. The last 2 weeks(during kc cup) were about 41k players but before was around 36-38k players and is now back to that. I wish I had more specific information and links for it but this is the best I can do.

Unfortunately, no link I could find with the stats. Modern galaxy phones have "gaming hub" which you can view details about you play time and players per day going back 32 weeks. I don't know how they get the numbers but it was at about 41k average per day during kc cup and is now down to like 25k a day

However, them adding go rush without the anime being done leads me to believe they are going to have a new anime on the horizon.
I don't get people acting like this is an issue. Go Rush ends in March 2025. We got the information of it getting 151 episodes in total when we first heard about Go Rush dub news. This weekend ends arc 10 of Go Rush. (arcs in Rush anime usually have 13 episodes) In Go Rush's case, we are only missing like 24 episodes till it's over.
Since DL uses the pre-time skip designs for the Ohdo twins (aka season 1 style), they will probably retell the story of the anime so it's no problem that the anime isn't over yet.
For me Duel Links died when the skills no longer had ties to characters, instead just fixing whatever deck they want to sell. Does this deck have consistency issues? No worries, just plop a skill that literally gives them 5 cards so they can fusion summon this big monster that is otherwise pretty inconsistent to summon. And despite this, extra extra and destiny draw still never got unnerfed so you can't do fun things like play lp rollercoaster to use d draw every turn. Former Top 100 Global btw.

personally i don't like rush duel as a whole but i think it's important to have it for everyone thath enjoys it, the only problem I have for both sides is that when there's an event for one format, the other one has nothing and that feels so awful considering that's one of the main selling point the game had.
Linking what I said about the events earlier and your point of "you don't have to play rush duels", i think it's just wrong because if you want rewards or characters (the way you get currency to obtain cards), you have to consider the other half of the game
leveling rush characters was one of the worst experience I had with the game in a while, also starting from scratch again as a really low spender is horrible, i bought 2 or 3 of the dark magician girl structure just to farm with a "competent" farming deck to earn gems and let's just be real, the real problem with the game is how small is the amount of gems you get for how the gacha works and how many copies you need of each high rarity card
with all of that being said the game is nowhere near dead, if it survived one year of blue eyes karma cut format I think it's immortal at this point

I still can clearly remember that when Mokuba (The OG one) released, I thought the game would die, then I keep playing until 5DS when the meta was so bad that I though the game would definitely die.
Then the DSoD world came in and I though the game would die for sure. Then the Arc-V world came and, to be honest, was one of my peaks of enjoyment.
Then Vrains came out, and still felt it, then Rush came and I felt the game would be dying pretty soon for how boxes would be handled.
Here you see me now, waiting for Yuri to release to play my predap deck, and having a full Odd-eyes deck just waiting for support, so yeah, the game isn't dying yet 😂
My friends and me got to play some rush these weeks and we've concluded that we're having more fun there. Using decks that summon maximums is REALLY exciting and we all have picked a deck and character to main lol. Cant wait for fusions soon

I must say initially I thought that rush duel was lame but now they added more cards it's not that bad. I'm still predominantly a speed player and a very casual one at that.
Personally what is killing the game is broken skills, yes I understand that releasing some to make certain cards desirable and playable is great but some of the skills are actually mental. Since the onomat skill they've just kept pushing it and pushing it to the point deck building is sort of irrelevant.
You play a 20 card deck but you have a skill that gives free consistency, which means you end up using about 6 cards and the duel is over in like 3-4 turns. That's what kills the game for basically everyone that isn't using the top 4-5 decks, eventually playing against the same few decks just trying to hit KoG or KC cup is going to get really annoying.

I played duel links since the beginnig but it keep much worse than becoming good. Gems are very hard to farm and ıf u want a 3 copy of specific card you need to refresh the box. Or craft a good cards. In Master duel, you can craft anything with little effort. I liked duel links because the voice lines(suprise I am a big fan of yugioh anime). I was build a character deck and play the rival or some character in the gate to duel like an anime. They don't upgrade their deck. Man Yami Yugi is still playing myhtical beast shit. They maybe can add higher lvl to make an proper deck. If they do I am gonna definetly play this game.

I played the game a lot but I *still missed* some events because I either got really hooked onto a different game or didn't have the time for Duel Links for a little while. I farmed up a bunch of its gems (*still* haven't completed all of the World stages missions and haven't fully leveled up every character) and I have literally every deck I was looking to build and more, not even counting Rush Duels which I also made a few decks for now.
Everytime I've seen Loom open his mouth about Duel Links: It was him being comedically wrong about everything.

My main issues with Rush is it’s yes- too simplistic to a point where it feels more luck reliant than skill reliant, and the duels ironically take too damn long.
There's ACKSHUALLY, surprisingly a bit more depth to Rush than you'd think.
Because you get a new hand every round there's decision making to do to thin out cards in hand that you could continue without. Got a "Pierce" in hand? 1500 LP left? Can you survive the next wave of attacks to possibly come back on? (Yeah it's kind of sacky and luck based there). Set "Pierce"? Play it? Do you have a slot to possibly fake the trap? Either way you need to get rid of it to get 1 extra draw, if you set it you can lose it to removal. If you play it on a monster but have no DEF monsters to attack into it'll be a waste but next turn you'll get +1 more card.
Is your backrow full? You can take this attack and have LP left for next turn but if you don't use your "The Barrier" now you won't have a backrow slot to use to play "Tribute to the Doomed".
Are you going to use "Summoning Sorcerer Doretheo" effect and start stacking your graveyard now and risk losing your [Legend] card or do you ball and set your GY up for "Talismanic Seal Array". Etc.
If you're playing with Maximum Cards though i do find it lame that you're just playing stall Solitare until you get your big boss out but Unlike Exodia it'll take at least 2 or 3 turns with it to win.
All in all it's not *that* bad. Could definitely be worse. It's better than loading up a Speed duel and losing the coin flip and watch your opponent play Mayakashi or Shiranui setting up their board for 5 minutes. Or Battle Chronicle! DM or BE flow chart into same boards over and over.

Forbidden Droplet is the best out, but that is selection box exclusive for now which is rough. Other useful outs to Nightingale are ice dragon's prison, drowning mirror force, or even something like flying "c".

The only time there's a user spike is with a new world, new worlds don't attract anymore and keeps being lower meaning that despite the naive apologists Rush is simply not succesful or not catching steam (still). Yeah, DL is in bad shape since the only thing left are the whales dependant since new players aren't arriving beyond novelty of the 2 weeks
On top of that it's nugioh so they get alienated even faster And ON TOP OF THAT there's the continued degradation of the quality since year 2-3 and skills screw up since dsod era, DL used to be good. That's the trend you can get from steam, on mobile numbers should be bigger. DL isn't getting EoS, konami is milking it until it fades out.

Good vid 6k, the negativity is insane. I mean i personally don't like rush, however, gems are gems in the end and now that my favorite archetype is starting to get integrated to DL I just play what I want and enjoy it. I don't see DL dying for some time.
The negativity is actually warranted, if you willfully ingorant dummies would pay attention for once, the state of the game is horrendous and its konami's fkn fault, just look at pvp, legend was sposes to be where meta trash dies down, but thats all ive been facing for weeks now, and all of it is skill abusing fkholetry.
New viewer as I try to learn tenyi and I wanted to say thank you for being honest about a game I have been playing since there was only 5 boxes out. A lot of these other duel link channels just love to bash and not teach.

Isn't Rush more popular in Japan than the US? Rush is an addition to the game and doesn't destroy the overall enjoyment of speed duels. I go to work almost every day, and I get 1 hour breaks so, Duel Links is ideal for me to pass the time.
The only way to play rush in US is through duel links. They never released the TCG outside japan

I still play mostly speed duels and use rush duel for easy fast pace games for gems. But I'm still hooked on speed but rush has grown on me a tiny bit
Sorry but I'm not bias ... the game is done 4.. a new update won't fix the previous problems the game suffers from it was a nice run by the game out of fun. It would be better off once they announce end of service comes it's just a matter of time just like the hourglass when u play PVP time is ticking.....

I just reinstalled the game after years of not playing. Game has lots of life and replay-ability. Rush duel is actually fun if you don’t auto bot your account
