They miss a lot too. A fielder is supposed to cover up the throw, in case it misses. If it misses and the ball is not fielded by someone else, the batters can keep running. Sometimes the ball can end up going all the way to the boundary and the batter gets 4 runs in addition to what they have run.
Clearly this video is made by an Australian .. Exactly like when we Indians make such videos it's by far dominated by Indian performers.. sometimes too much... That's it..
The important thing on really 'tight' run outs is that the white line crease is said to belong to the fielding team; that means if the bat is on the line it is OUT, it has to be past the line AND grounded to be home and safe. A lot of run outs (especially from deep fielders) are completed by the wicket-keeper, or another fielder, catching the throw-in and removing the bails themselves.
🇿🇦As a 🇿🇦South African At least we are getting some respect from Americans as the Cricketing community. We appreciate that you learning about the game we know and love You should check out AB De Villiers one of our all time greats 👍🏾💯
The helmet cam is worn by some players as just a part of the telecast, same as a player who is miced up. Yes, they do train a lot on run out scenarios along with catching. Great to see you guys getting into the game, if you can see if you can download a full 20/20 game as a starter instead of just highlights, best wishes from Australia
You have started your time watching cricket just in time to see some massive events: The Ashes, June - July 23, and the World Test Championship (June 23). Australia is about to play India (9th Feb) in India to determine who will be in the final of the World Test Championship. That will be gripping cricket with India in the box seat playing at home. The Ashes - take the rabbit trail of learning about the Ashes - will be riveting with England's brand new style of Test cricket and Australia's super star team. Just a hint - the Ashes is the oldest continuously played International sporting event, being birthed in 1882. You guys are awesome by the way. I am really enjoying your reactions.
When you think about the complexity of the physics and mathematics involved in doing that, you realise it's actually impossible, yet they keep doing it.
You have to keep your bat on the ground inside the crease to be safe by the way. It cannot leave the ground. On the line is not inside the crease. You have to have part of your bat making contact over the line when the bails get dislodged for your bat to make you safe. Once you contact the ground inside the crease with your body, you have 'made your ground' and you are safe until you leave the crease, even if you are not in contact with the ground, ie still running and both feet are off the ground or jumping to avoid a thrown ball, etc. And if you want to get really technical, you can actually leave the crease and be not out if you do it to avoid injury (collision with the ball or another player) provided you have already 'made your ground'. Umpire's judgement call. The fielding team can also still get you out if they dislodged the bails off the stumps already without getting someone out, but they have to hold the ball up to a stump and pull it out of the ground. Funny old game.
That last one was Mark Waugh from Australia, one of the greatest fielders ever. He was certainly the bestt catch of the ball, especially when fielding in the slips. But greatest fielder ever is probably Ricky Pointing, also from Australia. When fielding in the extra cover region not only did hecrun umpteen players out (he had a VERY accurate throw) it was almost impossible to score runs past him.
Kudos to you both for enjoying learning about cricket. An amazing sport that will continue to surprise you. Just find everything you can and enjoy. I recommend any and all commentary by Kerry Okeefe, though it is very Australian.
Umpires in domestic T20 leagues sometimes have helmet cams. Sometimes good batters have helmet cams. Stumps have cams. But all the helmet cams I have seen in bbl which happens in Australia.
guys also check out WOMEN'S CRICKET you can start with Ellyse Perry the Australian all rounder the Women's T20 World Cup is all set to begin from 10th feb 2023 also India won the u19 Women's World Cup 2 days ago please check out the highlights
You guys need to check out Ben Stokes and James Anderson. James Anderson is 40 years old and still at the top of his game. Ben Stokes has singlehandedly won matches completely against the run of play. Headingly 2019 is one to check out
When it comes to a decision of a batsman running a single before a fielder throws the ball & knocks the bails off the top of the stumps the bat must be over the crease line or you are out
I’d like to watch them react to a whole game. A T20 game lasts about three hours so it would have to be edited, and a close game, but that would be interesting to see the reaction.
It was a direct hit. Direct Hit is a term used for the run out in which the throw made by the deep fieldsman brings down the wickets directly without the ball being caught by a fieldsman standing at the stumps.
With a direct hjt it's a hit or miss , you just have throw the ball. Watch some classis West Indies vs Australia or England test matches. Roblinda has the best collection.
In cricket you aren't obliged to run when he you got the ball. If you don't think you'll complete the run safely, you don't have to run (but if you're team is scoring slowly you'll have to take more risks). Might be good to look at the different types of bowler next.
I would say some of the people already gave you guys a list of current players you can choose from or google/RUclips it current players you’ll def find I would say react to ashes something different & try to watch cricket explained so that you get some idea of the rules of cricket. However, I liked this video something new we got to see 🙌🏻
Jos Butler running out Aiden Markram while standing back to David Willey's bowling is a bit special. Butler was standing back because Pace bowler David willey was bowling. He has to throw his keeping glove off on the run pick the ball one handed and sideways throw at the stumps while driving forward. ruclips.net/user/shortsfXcIQwPOudk?feature=share

@@venomgaming2077 The term has been changed by ICC. He is right.

Run out compilations are incomplete without Ravindra Jadeja
Fr, man has eyes of hawk
Surely this video is done by Australian so what else you expect
Yes
What about Jonty Rhodes? There is not one of his runouts on this video, not even his famous 1992 worlcup runout of Ul Hac
Clearly this video is made by an Australian ..
Exactly like when we Indians make such videos it's by far dominated by Indian performers.. sometimes too much... That's it..
I think England and Australia thinks they are the only teams that are playing cricket 😂😂
Virat Kohli has done more astonishing run outs than some of these runouts in this video 😂😂😂 .
Exactly ✨🔥
9:00 the umpires has those cameras right above their hats.
The one where Jhonty Rhodes runs out Inzamam in 1992 cricket world cup is by far the top 3 of all times
They only shared only one footage of jadeja . He is king of this stuff💀

Even Pakistan super league has started! I think the new south African league is starting too, though I am not sure.
The funniest thing is every single runout in this video is in Australian grounds.

Kohli's bat is a literal flamethrower. You should watch him live before he retires.
Yesss 🔥
Errr no! Lol, the laws of cricket definitely do not allow flame throwers on the field; not even wooden ones or dragons!
