Testament has some good taste in bassists. I mean, Greg Christian and Steve Digiorgio are two of the most technical bassists out there, and probably some of the few that play thrash with thier fingers.
both gigs were excellent. Probably best atmosphere I witnessed in a metal concert. no big crowds, no posers. Just people in black t-shirts, beer and lack of oxygen. Lots of mosh, earpiercing blistering solos, growling chuck billy, and eric peterson out there with awesome guitar tones. you can feel smell and see the energy in the arena.
I fucking love this song with a passion. Testament is so fucking good live I need to see them again. When I saw them with Slayer and Megadeth I thought they out performed them
probably they were shocked by a totally awesome testament on the stage. I had that 2 years ago when I saw Slayer with Dave Lombardo in istanbul. I couldn't move or make a sound in the first two songs then I became myself when they started War Ensemble. This might be the first song cos I've never seen Testament fail to grab the audience. at least not in London DVD nor the gig they did in istanbul last year.

One of their best songs, in my opinion. who ever was in charge of video direction did a terrible job. Hardly saw much of the band. Tight focus on Billy, then super off in the distance camera shots.
Testament is the most RESPECTED thrash metal bands till these very days for staying true.. no gimmicks,no bullshite feckin straight up THRASH!!!... if only Metallica could ever realised!!!!... a total waste since the LOAD crap!!!!... spit!!!!....
Anthrax is my favorite band in general, but i really think they shouldn't be in the"big 4" neither Metallica nor megadeth. They only have a little few thrash songs. But Testament?? Please!! Their "sould out" was The gathering?? When a band does that record when experimenting is only because their freakin' genius!!
I always wondered - how is it that Testament didn't invent Death Metal? Chuck is way better and unique as death metal vocalist. Don't get me wrong, he has one of the best voices for thrash, but, man, his death growls wipe the floor with 90% of the DM vocalists :)
