The care home should be investigated how could something like that be going on without being noticed by the management. Never send anyone you care about there
They were in a shower house. The only people in the shower house are the ones showering and the ones assisting with the shower. Management has nothing to do with patients' care. Management is up front in their offices, making money. I'm guessing you don't have a loved one in a nursing home. It's sad that the baby boomers started this trend of sending loved ones off and washing their hands of having to care.
I’m trying to understand how 2 barely legal girls were hired to begin with. They can’t even buy a drink but qualified to do This job? Somethings fishy.
As a nurse who has worked 17 years with the elderly and with patients who have memory loss and or dementia, this is NOT a representation of nurses and certified nurses' assistance. These two women should have never been in the business of caring because if you don't have a compassionate heart, then this is what could happen. My condolences to the family members of this woman. She should always be shown respect, compassion, love, and dignity. This just breaks my heart that people can be so cruel. Especially to someone who can't fight back or ask for help.
Very true! I have provided care (I am a therapist) to so many nurses in my 11 year career, and they are so often wonderful, lovely, and interesting people who genuinely do their jobs for the simple reason to provide help to others. This is not an accurate representation of nurses/CNAs/healthcare workers at all.
The fact that you are allowed to be a care worker like that at 18 says it all. If you have no one to watchdog for you, the only choice is to never end up in any vulnerable care situation.
@L K C. Lifer. My aunt found my grandfather lying in his own feces in a nursing home. According to my experience you are quite mistaken. You might have been a good care giver, but to think this in unusual makes me wonder what is your agenda.
As a medical social worker(worked in long term care facilities and now in hospice) here are some tips for facility living: Put a camera in your loved one’s room where you can monitor them fr your home. (if they have a roommate the camera can’t face their roommate and the facility will have to make the other resident/their power of attorney aware. However, you do NOT need anyone’s permission. Just have to make everyone aware.) Will staff be annoyed: Yes. Will it make them behave the way they should towards your loved one: YES 👍🏽 Make frequent visits and occasionally bring goodies to sit at the nurses station for staff. This will help staff remember you and you’ll create a “presence” there. Befriend other visiting family members. They can look out for your loved one when you’re not there and vise versa. Get to know the Social Worker. Most of us are Social Workers because we truly do care. We can do things like set up video calls with you and your loved ones so you can see them, and communicate/enforce your preferences to other staff members. Get to know the facility Administrator and or the DON(Director of nursing) as well. Be apart of care meetings that are held for your loved one. If there aren’t any formal care meetings, you have the right to request one. If you can afford to hire a caregiver for any amount of hrs, do it. They will provide personal 1:1 care to your loved one that facilities cannot provide.

Years ago my MIL was a caring loving CNA in South Florida… she reported several of the nursing homes she worked at and had to quit each one.PLEASE watch over for your loved ones!
I am disgusted by this because I have been a CNA for 33 years and feel they should have the same thing done to them ,I feel so bad for the resident and their family
This is what you get when you encounter people who weren’t raised. Sadly, there’s more and more coming out of the woodwork everyday. People don’t know how to do a job and be professional anymore. Raise these humans or stop having babies!
I left CNA 5 years ago when I noticed that they were hiring young girls that were only there for a paycheck that had nothing to lose they only pay little money so older women are leaving because they have real bills and trying to put their kids to college these young women still live at home. I can tell you firsthand that most managers and supervisors know about this kind of behavior but they still keep them there because they work a lot of hours for nothing so this is what you are going to get. Over my 17 years of a CNA, I reported people talking like this with no respect I got in trouble for telling.
Well there's a huge shortage of nurses and CNA's. Not many people want to change adult diapers for a living. They will literally hire anyone with a pulse..
Why would they hire these two at such a young age anyway? I wouldn't leave an 18yo to care for an elderly person with dementia because they might still be immature and not able to empathize with patients yet. Even 20yo should be monitored closely as they're very inexperienced in life and could easily make a clinical mistake.
One of the most civilized comments posted here. They are too immature to empathize. Mere children whose frontal lobe hasn’t developed were placed in a position of responsiblity that they are clearly too immature to handle. High school bullies. And I also don’t believe the facility was caught off guard. They knew what they had in their midst. These girl were not quiet, but talking out loud and laughing. And I am sure this is not the first time they have done this. This is not about race. Not about calling people animals. It’s about the facilities hiring individuals who are not mentally capable to caring for others. They took a test and passed. That’s it. Elder abuse is very common. It’s so common, one should almost expect to find it just about everywhere. Never trust any facility. Be vigilant. Best case scenario, don’t patronize these places. I feel like they all are a gamble.
Hey ive been a CNA since 18 years old, and have always worked in elderly/dementia places, its not about age is mainly heart and compassion. My first work place the residents were so comformtable with me that one even told me that they were being abused by another worker.(I reported it the second i left the room)
Don't try to make excuses for this behavior. They did this just to ridicule a disabled elderly lady. These 2 were obviously raised wrong and deserve everything coming their way.
Not Necessarily , I cared for multiple dementia patients at once. I treated them like my own and miss them very much. Empathy and compassion is not really correlated with age.
I feel that every state should pay the family to care for their elderly parents or other family members so that this doesn't happen. So many people would rather care for their own but can't because they wouldn't be able to afford the cost of daily care and being able to work. Then the inpatient facilities would only be needed for respite care for the caregivers or other serious needs. Living in Florida, I've heard horror stories from friends about this. It's angering that elderly people are treated like this.
This could happen right in the home, not just a facility. My mother has been under the care of CNA’s and LPNs in our home, since 2018! We have encountered some of the most cruel and unprofessional staff. She’s now non verbal and relies on an eye gaze machine to communicate. Even with family around, folks are disrespectful to her! I feel so sorry for this woman! I am glad those dummies exposed themselves.
Man I worked in a place like this and this is not rare it happens more often than you would think. Its always a odor even in the high priced one. I don't really know how these places work but if you are old and wealthy please make sure you make power of attorney to a son or daughter who really cares about you because the spoiled daughter/son will put you in these places and forget about you but they will enjoy your properties and money.
As someone who takes emergency calls from residents at "assisted" living facilities, I can tell you that abuse and neglect in these places is not rare at all. They could start by paying the workers. But then, oversight and accountability would be great. And if you have someone in one of these places, get Lifeline. Even if the facility has their own. If we suspect abuse or neglect, we will let you know, and we WILL make sure they get help.
It’s common because we as a society reserve our empathy only for our families and friends-and as long as we have a job, family, and friends, we will turn a blind eye to those that need our help. We also do not require any accountability from the people that manage and own these places.
I couldn’t even get through the video. My mom has Frontal Temporal Dementia and is sadly in a nursing home at 70. Seeing this type of abuse breaks my heart. We need to treat our elderly with love and compassion. They are human beings. This is shameful and disgusting. God bless the elderly ones that were in their “care”.
It’s even worse if you watch Sherif Grady Judd’s full press con with the full video. Don’t Google it. I’m telling you, don’t. Take your mouse away from the search bar.
Does anyone realize what goes on in these places? I worked in several nursing homes from California to Nevada and if you knew just how bad they are you would never ever ever put a family member in there. Just disgusting
@@nickyyesimblessed1253 why would I do something? I haven't worked in decades and I am not about to be an advocate for anyone but myself and my family.

This is heartbreaking & sick.. literally feel like crying right now. Where is your humanity? Some ppl just have no respect for human life. Wish I could rescue all ppl experiencing abuse
That works violate the privacy rights of the patients. CNAs hello with showering, toileting, dressing etc, and recording any of that is abusive and totally unacceptable.
Why are they hiring employees that young?? There's NO WAY they'd have the experience, patience, empathy and integrity it takes to properly care for seniors (especially with illnesses). Family needs to sue the establishment and the employees.
It's WAY more common than people realize. I worked in several mental health facilities and those places are full of staff people who are cruel and enjoy having a ready supply of vulnerable people to be their victims. Staff members who were decent people and horrified by what they see are afraid to report it because in institutions the majority of staff and management circle their wagons and protect each other. Staff who report abuse, be it outright physical abuse or the extremely common passive aggressive type abuse and neglect, are considered trouble makers and are predictably fired for some trumped up allegations. That's what happened to me when I reported physical abuse of a six year old boy in a psychiatric facility that I witnessed with my own eyes (namely a staff member picking up the child by his forearm and throwing the poor thing against the wall). For weeks I was shunned by most of the staff, forced to switch jobs and work where they knew I'd be miserable. Then they let go because I and the facility were "not a good match".
If you’re fearful to come forward at work, please reach out immediately to your state elder care abuse hotline and to your local police. Many employees fear retaliation for coming forward to report abuse. Most nurses /CNAs are employees at will and these facilities can lie and terminate a an employee for anything they feel like conjuring up to avoid media attention. I’m glad this facility made the proper decisions in order to protect their patients but sadly this happens all too often and sometimes too late. Our laws against elder abuse need to be more harsh ( jail time even for 1st offense) in order to send a strong message out to anyone who is in healthcare! These 2 aides got caught. Imagine the ones who are still getting away with it. 😡
I worked as housekeeping in a facility, and I was told "do not talk to patients". Some of these elderly folks were absolutely BEGGING me to call their doctors, lawyers, and children. One lady told me that they were lying and she hadn't seen a doctor for more than a year. I called the hotline, and they were found compliant, and I was fired.
I worked as a CNA for two years specifically in a wing with dementia residence and it amplified my patience and compassion. This is why families don't trust elderly care facilities. These ladies should be charged and the facility sued.
Correct it's a 3-5 month training and that's it. They don't teach empathy that's something you either have or don't have. Parents should be teaching their children to be respectful to have compassion, have empathy for others, and love. These are things adults should already know have and do.
@@LKCLifer As a retired CNA l can tell you it depends on the state. But the federal government does require at least 75 hours of class time. There's four states that only require 75 hours. Then you have to pass your skills test. Then the written exam. So in some states you can receive your CNA certificate in 4 to 8 weeks. Maybe the states need to reconsider their qualifications.🤨
Wow that’s sad. I work at a dementia caring for elderly and you really need to have compassion… I’m thankful I display that and my residents even tell me that they love me. Ask your Mum to not just talk to the POA but to also speak with other family members.
Our country is full of these types of people. It's only when their ignorance is on full display do we know to just put the keys away when they go to jail. These people, in my opinion, have more mental problems than the patients.

Management is up front in their offices, making money. I'm guessing you don't have a loved one in a nursing home. It's sad that the baby boomers started this trend of sending loved ones off and washing their hands of having to care.
SKIP ADMINISTRATION, GO TO POLICE. ADMIN IS PART OF THE CYA PROBLEM
The management is who told the police about it.
I’m trying to understand how 2 barely legal girls were hired to begin with. They can’t even buy a drink but qualified to do This job? Somethings fishy.
How do these people get a job ? I wouldn’t employ as it’s obvious there untrustworthy
What cruelty and what horrible people. 😢
Yes it is 😂
The fact that you are allowed to be a care worker like that at 18 says it all. If you have no one to watchdog for you, the only choice is to never end up in any vulnerable care situation.
💯
@L K C. Lifer. My aunt found my grandfather lying in his own feces in a nursing home. According to my experience you are quite mistaken. You might have been a good care giver, but to think this in unusual makes me wonder what is your agenda.
As a medical social worker(worked in long term care facilities and now in hospice) here are some tips for facility living:
Put a camera in your loved one’s room where you can monitor them fr your home. (if they have a roommate the camera can’t face their roommate and the facility will have to make the other resident/their power of attorney aware. However, you do NOT need anyone’s permission. Just have to make everyone aware.) Will staff be annoyed: Yes. Will it make them behave the way they should towards your loved one: YES 👍🏽
Make frequent visits and occasionally bring goodies to sit at the nurses station for staff.
Imagine the cases that are not recorded and reported
The fact that nobody on the live reported it is also disgusting.
I spent 23 years in geriatric hospice and memory care (dementia). The victim was in absolute terror. I want very much for these creatures to suffer great fear and pain in their life. No Fs given for those animals.

Years ago my MIL was a caring loving CNA in South Florida… she reported several of the nursing homes she worked at and had to quit each one.PLEASE watch over for your loved ones!
I hope the person that reported them got a bonus.
It was their cousin. But of course, everyone's their cousin.
Thank you for the person who reported these ladies , I’m a healthcare worker and a granddaughter and this is disgusting!!!!
Those 2 girls are huge POS & I think they also need to be charged w/a hate crime as well.
I agree with you 100%
Felicia is gonna Felicia
Hate crime?
Amen.
What evidence is there that this is a hate crime?
I am disgusted by this because I have been a CNA for 33 years and feel they should have the same thing done to them ,I feel so bad for the resident and their family
This is what you get when you encounter people who weren’t raised. Sadly, there’s more and more coming out of the woodwork everyday. People don’t know how to do a job and be professional anymore. Raise these humans or stop having babies!
Well said. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
OMG how could anybody be so cruel
They were born that way
Does this really need an answer?
They hate White people. You'll never see them do it to their own.
Look who's doing the abuse. SAY NO MORE
She did nothing wrong except record
I feel for the elderly who don't have any family or friends to look after them or make sure they are being treated well.
This is why we taker care of our parents at home.
Not surprised. They don’t respect human life.
What is also disgusting, is that companies hire these types of individuals!
Well there's a huge shortage of nurses and CNA's. Not many people want to change adult diapers for a living. They will literally hire anyone with a pulse..
Hi. Then they should be responsible for the damaged inflicted upon volunerable illed human cells.
Lovelyme Lo from Memphis
Hey they hire anyone who's willing to do it, probably cause they don't wanna pay them more...they terrible tho..
Dementia is just a sadness but you see they have ears & eyes to see when they ignore them....
Yes, please post your crimes so people will know not to hire you
Apparently they don’t realize that one day they will be old and need help from someone. Karma is real. Just sickening
Some Family Members Are Just As Bad I Really Don't Have An Answer Except For Cameras Everywhere.
They do
@@deborahwhit118 Some states do, but not all.
I agree but you know Republicans especially Florida Governor ain't going for that
Some family members are just as bad or worse. But I do get your point. 👏🏾
Install camera that the families can watch, that would weed out the animals quickly
Families can buy and place cameras in their loved ones rooms.
They are no more animals than you or I. They are young people who are acting very poorly, but they are still people.
Have the staff wear body cams
When you call these subhuman creatures animals you insult animals. Only humans do this. God help us
If you don't have the compassion for this job, It's not for you.. Shame on them woman for this disgusting behavior.
What a nightmare.
This is a hate crime these two need to be in prison
This is exactly why I hated working in places like that, need more oversight.
This is so disgusting. They need to be held accountable.
Nasty; cruel and stupid, hope they get punished accordingly.
It’s not rare ! It’s disgusting how would they feel if that was there mother . Nothing but cruelty shame on them 😢
why is this so common with careworkers? why even get into that line of work?? makes no sense to me.
Bcz they're underpaid and it's a high turnover so they literally hire anyone
Yep when you don't wanna pay the people who went to school and do a good job... you get anyone....
Sometimes it's welfare mothers who have to work for their checks!!
It’s common because we as a society reserve our empathy only for our families and friends-and as long as we have a job, family, and friends, we will turn a blind eye to those that need our help. We also do not require any accountability from the people that manage and own these places.
Parents must be so proud 😡
I couldn’t even get through the video. My mom has Frontal Temporal Dementia and is sadly in a nursing home at 70. Seeing this type of abuse breaks my heart. We need to treat our elderly with love and compassion. They are human beings. This is shameful and disgusting. God bless the elderly ones that were in their “care”.
It was a full struggle for me to watch it.. had to brace myself b4 I even started it. 😢 where is the love for our seniors? Just no respect😔
It’s even worse if you watch Sherif Grady Judd’s full press con with the full video. Don’t Google it. I’m telling you, don’t. Take your mouse away from the search bar.

That works violate the privacy rights of the patients. CNAs hello with showering, toileting, dressing etc, and recording any of that is abusive and totally unacceptable.
I don't see any abuse but I do see privacy violation. Anyway who hires an 18 year old and 20 year to take care of delicate people?

Hasn't changed since the 90's. How sad.
Absolutely terrible.. I refuse to allow my mother in a nursing home one day ..
Jail for years sick ppl!
Why are they hiring employees that young?? There's NO WAY they'd have the experience, patience, empathy and integrity it takes to properly care for seniors (especially with illnesses). Family needs to sue the establishment and the employees.
The pay is low, and that's all that they can get.
They should be working in the slaughterhouse!
Put them in jail, not out on the streets
Yes!
Administration is part of the CYA problem.
Police don't care
I worked as housekeeping in a facility, and I was told "do not talk to patients".
Some of these elderly folks were absolutely BEGGING me to call their doctors, lawyers, and children.
One lady told me that they were lying and she hadn't seen a doctor for more than a year. I called the hotline, and they were found compliant, and I was fired.
I worked as a CNA for two years specifically in a wing with dementia residence and it amplified my patience and compassion. This is why families don't trust elderly care facilities. These ladies should be charged and the facility sued.
The state exam for these CNAs must be easy to achieve with no real life training on how to have empathy for an elderly person with dementia.
One of them is only 18. It can’t be that hard of take long to get certified
