I really hate how depression is becoming normalized for gen-z. Guys, wake the fuck up. Depression is serious and if your having suicidal thoughts, sh thoughts, sudden mood changes, etc. please either go get help from a therapist or get checked out by a pediatrician. i love you and never forget. you will make it. one day you'll get to say "i survived". 2020-2021 has been really hard for a lot of people, not just you. were all in this together, its okay.

And now me and my ex don't talk and his best friend is my boyfriend. I have no regrets after meeting him =) P.S. there's something I go by... it's like a quote I made... " Dying is not the answer nor the solution, It becomes the problem and the solution is to live." I’m returning to the song after a few years of turmoil, grief, growth and now liberation. Used to listen to this song to not feel so alone in my self sabotage and trauma. The lyrics “if you’re still breathing, you’re the lucky ones, ‘cause most of us are breathing through corrupted lungs,” used to resonate bc I felt as though every day it was hard to breathe, hard to live, but now, I am on the other side of the lyrics and have found happiness…but only after bleeding. It was worth it. I’m still here. I’m alive, I’m free, and I’m definitely one of the lucky ones.

I’m genuinely so scared of being an adult, the thought terrified me. I wanted to be a child, a teen. I enjoyed my childhood life, memories are one way of keeping me happy. I don’t think I’ll have much fun experience with being a teen, having to worry about school, having to listen to my friends troubles and worrying about my parents safety from the pandemic my teen life is really stressful enough I don’t know how my adult life will be.

I’m returning to the song after a few years of turmoil, grief, growth and now liberation. Used to listen to this song to not feel so alone in my self sabotage and trauma. The lyrics “if you’re still breathing, you’re the lucky ones, ‘cause most of us are breathing through corrupted lungs,” used to resonate bc I felt as though every day it was hard to breathe, hard to live, but now, I am on the other side of the lyrics and have found happiness…but only after bleeding. It was worth it. I’m still here. I’m alive, I’m free, and I’m definitely one of the lucky ones.

Every time I am in my feelings I come back to this song because it absolutely describes what the words can’t and it gives a sense of comfort knowing what I feel can be put to words.
I’m genuinely so scared of being an adult, the thought terrified me. I wanted to be a child, a teen. I enjoyed my childhood life, memories are one way of keeping me happy. I don’t think I’ll have much fun experience with being a teen, having to worry about school, having to listen to my friends troubles and worrying about my parents safety from the pandemic my teen life is really stressful enough I don’t know how my adult life will be.
As someone who turned 18 in April, it’ll be ok. Most adults don’t know what they’re doing either, being 18 doesn’t automatically make you mentally an adult. Take your time

@@koral4684 Speaking as someone who just turned 39, your sister is exactly right. Everyone matures at their own pace, and you have the rest of your life to figure these things out. It's totally normal to have fears like this at your age; I know I did. But just tackle one thing at a time. That in itself is a skill that will help a lot as you get older!
