*Arrrgggnnn* The Report doesn't even make it into the top 1000. I'm seeing its box office take as $75,000. That's not even enough to cover catering for a week on a real movie or series.
The Man from Uncle 2015 is probably one of my all-time favorite movies. The interaction between the two main male characters was great and the inclusion of Alicia Vikander's character was priceless. I was always hoping for a sequel but, alas, it was never to be. Then there is Bridge of Spies; an extremely powerful movie.
The spy game was a great movie..would have no issue seeing it on this list..I saw it for the first time 2 years ago and I was blown away..couldn’t believe I hadn’t seen it before either

The Bourne Ultimate deserves a place in this list only if you throw away fact that these movies are based on books. Books are master pieces while movies are just plain revenge fight sequences as if they lost their soul.
ARGO would be so much better if it told the true story! The people working in the Canadian embassy did so much more to save those Americans than what was shown in the movie. The truth is so much more fascinating than fiction!!
There's no actual choosing among this jewel set of well crafted feature film. Each one of them brims with good writing, spot on casting, fabulous cinematography and editing and acting by a well tuned ensemble of committed actors. There you have it...cheers for each team that takes the field.
I would remove UNCLE and Bourne from the list and create their own CIA fiction movies while I would add Good Shepard to the list and keep it CIA movies based on real events. Good list tho!

There are some great action fantasy films on this list that I enjoy as much as the next person, but have such a basis in fantasy as to not really qualify as CIA films. Where are White Nights and Spy Game? If you wanted some over the top action in the list, you could have gone for Clear and Present Danger or Body of Lies. Even Taken with a retired CIA operative would rate higher than the Bourne Identity as a "CIA Film". Charlie Wilson's War is a good CIA film as well. Zero Dark Thirty does a great job being a CIA film. If you want to get Bourne Identity which I have seen at least 4 times, you need to drop it into "Espionage Thrillers" or "Action Thrillers" so it is understand there will be films on the list with no real connection to the CIA because there is so much fantasy in them. "CIA film" certainly implies a film about or set in the CIA. The Bourne Identity, bless its wonderful heart, is as much a CIA film as Ironman is. Other films to include on there would include The Safe House, Fair Game, and others. Just a thought as to grouping.
OK these are relatively recent movies, but "Three Days of the Condor" or the first 3 Jack Ryan movies ("The Hunt for Red October", "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger"), don't we mention them?
This feature of the Top 5 CIA (Central Intelligence) Movies is a fun addition, I remember my amazing husband actually being the one to persuade me in 2015 to see the Man From U.N.C.L.E film by around the summer/autumn timeframe of 2015 timeframe when it was released to theaters across the U.S. I have also been lucky to access the Bridge of Spies film by the 2017 or 2018 timeframe and I intend to keep a receptive mind to accessing the other films, especially the Report film I luckily now know about from this draw a viewer in type of feature.
@Alexander Ocazio-Cortes ,, thats your opinion , its as good as ARGO & far better than THE REPORT (now that is boring) also clearly somebody thought it good enough in 2018 to remake it as a tv seies..
Top 5 list here is all past 200: clearly, the list was made by a snotty twen, who hasn't got a clue about the century before he or she reached the respectable age of 7 ?
I am not a huge fan of spy movies, strongly believed if all these agents are sent home and agencies closed, world will be safer. But, the movie, "Spy Game" starring Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, was a very humane movie about the CIA. The most unforgettable British spy movie was the James Bond movie, "Skyfall", deeply tragic. TENET was about CIA too.
What are some good films or TV shows about the Vietnam War that aren't Apocalypse Now, Platoon, or Full Metal Jacket? My favorite US period Vietnam war film-is 1977’s Go Tell The Spartans. Based on Daniel Ford’s fiction Incident At Moc Wa. He had written a non fiction about his experience in Vietnam 1964 called The Only War We’ve Got that covered a similar theme This was a low budget but professionally made film that covers the rarely mentioned early portions of US involvement in South Vietnam . A period commonly called the Advisory or Advisory and Support period from 1959 to 1964. This particular film covers events in late 1964 revolving around US Advisors, South Vietnamese ARVN, local defense militia, mercenaries and Viet Cong. The film presents a Cynical view of US involvement and at the same time fairly sympathetic portrayal of US Advisors. Note these were not Special Forces, rather the more conventional advisors of the Military Advisory Assistance Command Some were represented as well meaning but naive Americans. The competent professional career oriented officers who wanted their ticket punched. The incompetent but earnest officers . Or veterans of previous wars who are now mentally exhausted with the very difficult situation. WW 2 era generals who appeared to ignore or discount negative information from those on the ground The Vietnamese varied from a competent, yet brutal individual mercenary. (In the end he was actually correct in his judgment ) To group of village militia being sacrificial lambs led to slaughter. Much more one sided view, but still tolerable. The Viet Cong are shown fighting in a night battle competently. South Vietnamese VC sympathizers are shown as pretending not be Viet Cong sympathizers. Then aiding the VC at a critical moment With one VC showing a moment of humanity by not killing a lone unarmed Advisor who survived his entire force being wiped out. Most of the WW 2 era weapons, equipment and full color insignia on uniforms were correct for the 1962/64 period, The one helicopter shown most was CH 34 Accurate for the USMC 1964 but not the Army by that time. It still works as I think they wanted the audience of 1977 to see an older machine that was not the more familiar at the time common UH 1. It is one of the few films showing the low level and smaller scale fighting from 1962 to 1964 and how US involvement deepened. The film ended with not the words The End . Rather just the Date -1964- This was very effective and made you think about 1965 to 1973. Then finally 1975

CIA was locking for war with Russia. Now they have it.

its a pity no one decided to continue with the Bourne franchise. Apparently good movies doing invite enough investors or producers these days.

Hard to narrow this down to 5 with so many to choose from but one of the classics is 3 Days of The Condor (the original) with Robert Redford.
That movie is a classic... very relevant even till this day.
Bourne: I heard you still looking for me!

He should be the next James Bond (Henry Cavill)
Watch the body of lies. Leanardo's movie.❤
definitely, Bourne...
'Body of Lies'. You must have forgotten that one. Its even better than Man from UNCLE'
Jason Bourne is like Plato other philosophers came after him
