Really informative Im currently running an 18x9.5 +38 with a 265/35 on eibach springs. Only rubs when I hit hard dips but I wanna eventually wanna go coils just to go a little lower and have a more stiff ride but also, keep same wheel/tire setup. Loving the content 👌🏼
@@Somchine13 in my opinion they are significantly better than an aftermarket spring and OEM shock combo unless you drive in +R all of the time. I like being able to use comfort and other modes without getting that floaty feeling in the suspension. It is on the stiffer side but still great for daily driving. My car is my daily/ family car
Very helpful! Thanks! Running 18x9.5+38 w/Michelin PS4S 265/35. Getting some coils soon and been worried about rubbing and how low I could go. Thanks for sharing that info, I feel much better with this setup.
@@5008474 There was practically no rubbing when driving solo. I didn't have a fully loaded car (3 passenger + 1 driver), so I can't speak to that. The only time it would rub was while on the highway at speed (70-80mph) and hitting a dip. The front would rub briefly, it was the bolt/screw on the front fender. Zero damage from rubbing. It happened about 6-8 times since there was a specific stretch of highway that had that big drop. Now I'm on RSR Coils, but I got my fenders trimmed, which I'd recommend if you do lower your car with this setup. It can be done extremely clean and I've had zero rubbing since even with a 1.5 inch drop.
Thank you so much. I didn’t want to buy camber arms or tow links. I just want a nice comfortable and budget friendly stance. Basically just for looks 😁 I have my mk3 Supra as a project. I bought my type r to have a hood daily but can’t drive around looking like a Monster truck !!! I don’t plan on going with engine mods or a Tune.
Great video, I'm planning on going with Spoon SW388 I believe 18' x 9.5" +40. I already have HKS coilovers hiper max, just wondering which tire size will not rub, thanks.
Good information to know. I have had Swift springs I have yet to installed because I'm on 18x9.5+38 255/40 Advan apex v601 and afraid I was gonna rub like crazy. Probably bend the tab and go from there. I don't wanna go 265/35 if I don't have to because I'm barely 4k miles on my tires
would a 19 x 10 +39 offset? work with stock suspension.. doo not want to lower my car due to location/ snow/ pott holes. would that set up work on the car? maybe with a 255/35/19. trying to fill in the wheel space as good as it can with stock suspension with no rub.
When you change the front springs do you disconnect the ball joint or do the spoon method. Btw Im running Falcon RT660 in 275/35/18 which are wider than the previous setup of Conti DW06 285/35/18 with clearance mods of course. RT660 are more square at the edge.
I'd really like to hear about maintaining the scrub radius. Honda did brilliant engineering to eliminate torque steer, and scrub has something to do with that. It seems like keeping the offset near where Honda put it would maintain the stock scrub. With a 9.5" rim would an offset of 48 do the job? And assuming you couldn't get that offset would spacers work? Do you think that would that fly with 265s, as far as rubbing. And do springs affect the scrub too? Good luck with the channel.
Hey Tom even with aggressive offsets I don’t seem to have any issues with torque steer. I wouldn’t really worry about changing to that kinda offset. If you do wanna play it on the safer side you can run the 18x9.5 +45 or +38 with a 265/35
I have airbags on my Type R it tucks in nicely but the front fender small screw where the small bump is next to the side marker. That doesn't allow the car to tuck more on the front. That can be rolled or I have to cut that small part?
I have a JR wheels 19x9,5 +40 and it hits the stock brembo brakes(like 1-2mm)... I had to put 5mm spacers to clear that(I ordered and waiting 3mm from JR). Does anyone else has that? I'm worried that it's not hub centric anymore and if i track it like that it will be on the bolts only... back is OK - no issue.
Seems like Harbor Freight is either kicking some 💰 to you or they’re getting free advertisement 😅. Honestly Harbor freight to tuner enthusiasts is essential. 😀
I’m looking at putting 275/35R18’s on 18x9.5 +38 on swift springs. Will I only have to cut the tabs front & back to fit without rubbing? I do have rear camber arms sitting aside as well. Will I need them?
This guy pretty much hit every thing. Good stuff.
Thank you 🙏
Pretty much

I was going to comment the same thing haha. Mine barely rubs on Tein flex on large bumps
Thanks, I'm planning on Advan Apex 265/35/18 with 18x9.5 +38 eibach pro kit, this is what I needed to hear.

You didn’t rub on this set up on stock high? I want to do same setup w/no mods on stock suspension high.

I've been waiting 5+ months for my 18x10+40 face 4 bronze saga to come, I'll be running them with swift, can't wait!
Hell yeee those are gonna be sick!!! Jdm wait sucks rn
Hey! Did you ever get them by any chance?
Have a couple questions
@@kevinmartinez5073 yessir!! whats up?
Hey. Quick question. Where did you order them from and did you have to cut the rear quarter panels to fit them? Also, how aggressive does it look?!
Answered all my question, great vid man!

Isn't it Eibach pro kit less aggressive than H&R? I'm planning on advan apex 265/35/18 and hoping to not bend front fenders, wheels spec 18×9.5 +38.
Rockin the eibachs with that exact spec wheel/tire and have made no adjustments. Just minor rubbing when hitting hard dips
Good info, helps a lot with my decisions. You could clean my house with your car btw.

I only losses two bolts on the control arm. I will be making a video on it soon as well
Damn I could’ve grabbed 265/35 on swifts @ 38 offset. On a good side, I definitely won’t have any rubbing issues
Preciate the informative video man. Did your friend with the swift springs have any camber issues?

Will adding different springs or coil not allow u to change the damping the way it comes out of factory?

what did you do to that exhaust, sounds so nice from inside
It’s a full straight pipe pretty much with a valvetronic muffler
How about 19x9.5 +38 on eibach prokit? With 255/35 tires?
How about stock height? Is 18 9.5 +45 with 265 35 tires ok? I wanna avoid rub at all cost

You will have to cut up the rear quarter pannel most likely also might need to roll the front fenders but you might be okay without rolling it.
