- Yup, the last one in the budget series and I've really enjoyed doing this lot and this is probably my pick of the crop. Even in 2024 they can be picked up for as little as £150 English and there's so much gone into these - no wonder they went out of business.

Hi Peter and thanks :-) It's trying to choose something you can noodle a decent melody to that I find tricky. The amount I've gone through and discarded is astonishing and I'm always on the lookout for new ones. Even the ones I've made myself often turn out to be rejected! Cheers, Gary :-)
Great review. Looks & sounds like my old Epiphone LP (bought new in about 2003/4) The tone is scarily similar. Lovely guitar.

Great finish on that particular westfield, set neck ,attractive top. Stunning inlays and it sounds good too. just great value for money. Great demo again Gary

I definitely wouldn't change the pickups, not unless I wanted to upgrade the whole instrument, and you most certainly can with these..Great open book headstock..Looks like shielding paint in the pickup cavities🤔

Hi Gary sorry no comments for a while been having trouble with my account, my first electric guitar at 50 was a Westfield SG wine red, bought from Frailers , and Frank does`nt stock anything but good guitars , he still rates Westfield, you`ve got me searching for the E4500 now , cheers man👌👍

I've only become a guitar snob for my next purchase. I've waited 50 years to have one with that special logo on the headstock so just this once nothing else will do even if if means spending £700 more than something like this would cost, and on top of that I want one that you've had in your hands so when I finally own a Les Paul it's going to be all I hoped for set up to play like the best of them. It's going to happen, I did tell you in another reply but I've done a deal with your mate who's holding a guitar until October for me. Buying online can be a bit of a minefield so I know I couldn't do much better than to get an instrument you've set up. However my Harley Benton will still get played and next time the urge for another guitar comes along it certainly won't be one with a designer label.

Ugh 😣 I really wish the budget guitars would stop trying to get fancy with it and just make a good copy.

Just make a good black Les Paul Custom and a Gold Top standard that looks right please
