Many Kids who danced on American Bandstand (US) deluded themselves into thinking that they could become big stars and none of them do. In the 1950's and 1960's The "Kids" did Blue Collar Jobs. Building Contractors, Department Store Clerks, Real Estate since many of them were from Philadelphia. In the 1970's one became a Mobile DJ, Advertising Executive, Choreographer (Damita Jo Freeman) who also danced on Soul Train who played Alex's Friend in Flashdance. I would have said "It's better to have that 15 Minutes Of Fame then to not have it at all, and what happened to us is no different from what happened to Groups that came "Before" and "After" us.

She got her start as a Dancer on Soul Train, Don Cornelius put her, Howard Hewitt, & Jeffrey Osborne together as Shalamar who were the "First" Reality Group with "Uptown Festival" & Second Time Around. She still performs with two other guys but she like a lot of R & B Divas of her Generation whether it was Gloria Gaynor (I Will Survive), Evelyn "Champagne" King (Shame, Love Come Down), and others she saw the best and worst that The Music Industry had to offer.
i became a Atomic kitten fan after Kerry left. but I respect Jenny for saying no to this show coz she was having twins at the time. and now Jenny is back into Atomic Kitten which made Kerry very angry there was a reason why Kerry got kicked out and replaced because she was too much for a band like atomic kitten. I always view celebs as one of us they are human after all even though they got cameras in their face 24/7 we need to respect celebs as we would respect our friends.

In Eden's Crush (Popstars US), there was tension because Nicole Scherzinger got the most "Leads", then Tionne T-Boz Watkins and Rozonda "Chili" Thomas from TLC were very angry that Lisa didn't show up for press conferences and shortly afterwards she died.
Eddie Kendricks Of The Temptations (RIP) did the same thing to Otis Williams and a couple of years later Eddie left who found out "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". He came back for The Reunion Tour in 1982 but Otis said he wasn't coming back and he never did. Sadly enough like Paul Williams, David Ruffin, he died broke.
Kerry Katona got all the celeb hype and press when she was younger as she was the fit one in the group with massive ( . Y . ) you see here these days and its like "What the hell happened to her".
It's because she grew up in care, and thought she was a "woman" because of her looks. When in reality she was just a child. So she left care and did dumb things. No one actually loved her, in foster care you could go missing and they wouldn't give a damn. She marries constantly. Took drugs to cope with life and also when people get older they let themselves go abit, when they get comfortable.
Boy did Kerry Katona get a major slice Humble Pie. You leave the Group, then they have a Number One Smash that you didn't sing on. In later years Florence Ballard of The Supremes tried to make peace by sending Diana Ross A Baby Gift for her Daughter Rhonda (Berry Gordy's Child) who created Motown Records. When her Husband Tommy asked why, she said "Well maybe "I" messed up and it wasn't all her fault". Diana Ross never got the Baby Gift because Florence didn't have Diana's proper Beverly Hills Address.
I read a lot of Books about Rock Stars. I was born in the 1960's, a Child Of the 1970's A Burgeoning Adult of the 1980's etc. I saw this Documentary and in comparison to the US Popstar Groups (Eden's Crush, O-Town) as well as the lesser known ones like LMNT aka Element, they at least got "closure" and made peace. Many of them didn't. Did you hear that Nicole Scherzinger is upset that Cheryl Tweedy (Ex-Girls Aloud) will once again be a Judge on The X Factor. the cd single did actually have kerry singing on the record and done a music video but jenny had to do live performances as kerry had already left by that point and put jenny in the video after. Kerry was due to stay in the band til whole again was released but she found out she was pregnant so kerry left earlier
