I was at Sheringham Secondary Modern School and in 1968 our year group would use the swimming pool at Hilbre. It was so nice of Hilbre. I remember the deep part of the pool ran along the centre and not at one end, I believe.
Man that brings back some memories. Ex pupil 1981 - 1983. I was in the blue room myself. I wonder what happened to Craig Younger. It would also be interesting to find out what happened to the tapestries. I have seen some pictures uploaded on friends reunited. Oh happy days!!
@stopmotiontoob Friends Reunited is the best place to go to find out more. There are a few knowledgable ex-pupils on there who I got in contact with whilst creating the video. I think Margaret Kennedy would be interested in hearing from you, as she's asked me to refer any ex-pupils to her. She can be contacted via the Hilbre School page through Friends Reunited. I believe the tapestry is with the Youngers who are now up in the Lake District. Glad you enjoyed the video :-)
