Jesse not only lost her last 4 points in the dream breaker but also deflated Ben’s confidence by putting him under extreme pressure. Jesse is definitely not a premier level player for MLP.
Delete her from the pickleball scene.

There are some Challenger people that would be so much better playing for Carolina. I'm surprised she's as bad as she is this year. Last year in the Chicago Slice, they were pretty good team
Jessie is the issue again. her mobility is hurting the team, she gets caught taking volleys from the mid court too much. She also never takes dinks out of the air which constantly puts ben in a really tough position having to protect her left side. Koop wasn't working either, looking like an absolutely horrible draft for Carolina.
Thats what happens when your last 3 draft picks are from the last 6 picks of the entire draft
I don’t know if you can pin it all on Jessie. She definitely didn’t have a stellar game, but we have to start looking at Ben Johns.
His domineering style probably messes up his teammates. Jessie can’t take any balls out the air even if she wanted to because she’s consistently getting pushed off the court by Ben.
This style worked when Ben was head and shoulders above the competition but that’s not the case anymore and I feel like he’s going to have to trust his partners abit more to get back on top.
@@adamheath4599 completely agree with this. While I’m not a fan of Jessies game and think there are women in the challenger league that deserve her spot, Like you said it’s not just her. Ben is still individually the best player out there, only difference is the gap isn’t as wide anymore. Other players are too tricky and their hands are too good for that style to continue to work anymore.
@@joshuapickett1234 they read the game's progression wrong. ben and collin were convinced the game would stay in the slow paced grind it at avenue, thus the Jessie pick. But the only problem, the game is athleticism and hand battles now. drop to get in, or drive to get in so you can get into a hands battle. we saw it a bit in Collin's changed game from last mlp to this one, he's trying to get into those hands battles more often now. Jessie just isn't a hands battle female player, her style matches well with what Ben wanted her to be, only problem is her mobility doesn't get her back to the kitchen line when she gives space to ben. I always thought this team's best option was to flip the girls and boys pairing. Buckner has better hands than Jessie, Jessie would be more consistent for Collin, makes a lot of sense to me.

Although I agree, Jesse and Ben played last year together in MLP so their partnership isn't unheard of. She just doesn't match his style of play.
Just as a said before the mixed doubles, the obvious, Ben would be playing singles in his mixed match with Jessie. Colin and Brook were awesome. The Carolina PB team are the better team but a vehicle can’t run on 3 wheels.
Even though Hovenier and Parenteau didn't win. I'm very impressed with the Mad Drops decision switch Hovenier to the right. It turned the tide of what would have been a blowout. They were abusing his backhand so they switched them and it worked great, i was on the edge of my seat the whole time especially on that game point. I think, if Blaine and Catherine were switched from the very beginning they very well would have won the game.
Buckner will be alright- she just needs some more confidence. She’s doing fine. Time to trade Jessie out.
Your teammate definitely influences the team’s performance. Ben, Colin and Brook look so deflated. They played hard.

Adding my two cents about Jesse…I have seen other matches and she can play extremely well but she isn’t consistent enough. Buckner played really good , in my opinion.

She got traded to Columbus for Brooke Buckner right before this tournament.

Why is JESSIE IRVINS in the thumbnail?!? Take her off she’s a useless teammate. Just being there is fine but feeling like she’s doing something just pisses me off. Take her off the pickleball scene please!
