Hilarious. 😂 Such a fun interview, I especially appreciate the woman in the yellow dress clearly being a music fan, and a fan of theirs, she knew her subject matter, it wasn't superficial or phony 👍. Well done.

@@runswithbeer I have been to Chastain several times but that was in the late 90's and 2000's and I agree once you get in and sit down it can be nice. But I am physically disabled and back then they just were not disabled friendly, parking was horrible and the deputy directing traffic wouldn't even let my friend let me out so I wouldn't have to walk a mile. They didn't have adequate accessible parking or seating so at that time I could still do steps but I'm older now and use a wheelchair. I did look at their seating chart and see that they do have designated accessible seating now but it was all sold out for this show. Lakewood always had plenty of upfront accessible parking and excellent accessible seating and I was always treated with dignity out there and it was covered seating just in case it rained. So I guess that's why I prefer Lakewood...Chastain left a long bad taste in my mouth lol and it seems that's where the Goo's are going to continue to play so it may be a long time before I see them again. Last time I saw them was I believe 2012 at Verizon wireless Ampitheater which is closer to where I live but they still weren't better than Lakewood. I have seen them at The Tabernacle....and Center Stage. And in 1998 I won tickets to private Halloween show at a Buckhead hotel but we didn't get to meet them ☹

Facts about John’s appearance. 1) He has vitiligo, an autoimmune disorder that causes skin to lose pigment and be sensitive to sunlight - mostly on the face but on Johnny, you can also see it in other areas. He has maybe had treatments for it. 2) John has always been true to himself and what he wants to do with his life, and he has done amazing things out of talent and sheer will. He has many fans, and his music has positively affected millions of people around the globe. If he felt he needed to change his appearance for whatever reason, that is just another example being true to himself and his needs. 3) If you want to make fun of famous people with surgery, you can make fun of almost every single actor, actress, model, etc that ever lived - and probably also some people you know personally.

I just saw them tonight in Clearwater, FL. They were good, BUT.......O.A.R. was better. That's just me as a guitar, band player. I took my wife and my sister. I hate to say this, but they got bored listening to the Goo Goo Dolls and wanted to leave before Iris, the encore. When we got out of there I said O.A.R. was a better performance and they agreed and wanted to check out their music. It was a great show at the new Sound Amphitheater by Clearwater Beach. I plan on going there allot because it's right down the street from me. God bless the Goo Goo Dolls, but O.A.R. has it going on! Go to the show, you'll have a good time.

This weekend they are in ATL also with Fitz and the Tantrums. I'm a superfan though so I know I will love the Goos no matter what. Been a fan since the beginning.

@@runswithbeer Me too....I can't even count how many times I have seen them live but I was never ever bored. People that only like Iris are not avid fans. I wasn't familiar with OAR until they did the Petty cover so I listened to some of their music and not one song grabbed me so everyone is different.

@@beautifulwreck7296 before we went I've had OAR on my playlist so I'd know some of their songs. We did recognize a few that must have been mainstream. But I don't think they put on a better show than the Goos.

@@runswithbeer I saw a clip of them at a recent show.....not sure what city....it was before the Atlanta show. Anyways...John brings out the guy from OAR to do the Petty song and the guy came out and during the whole song he barely held the mic up to sing into, he seemed lost as to where and what lines were his...he barely sang an entire line or the chorus....John had to basically pick up his slack. Needless to say the other guy didn't do a tight live version like the recorded one, the recorded version was cool. Maybe he had a off night who knows. I didn't recognize any of the OAR songs when I tried to familiarize myself with their music, but Atlanta radio stations suck so I rarely listen to "mainstream" radio or any radio stations for that matter.

@@beautifulwreck7296 I saw that same clip and hope they get it down to who sings which part before I see them in a few weeks because that cover is awesome. I’m excited to see OAR. I am not familiar with their music but they seem like a great band and good musicians and that is ALL I seem to want anymore…real musicians who play real instruments and aren’t auto tuned. I don’t even care about the genre as long as they are good! Excited that OAR has horns! I’ve seen the Goos more times than I can count and they usually put on a great show.
