It can...The thing about these is that you have to remove a crapload of wood from the body of the guitar in order to get it in there. That's why I never liked Floyd's or any other knife edge based tremolo :| I'm not a believer in "Tone Wood" but where the bridge sits on the body, what the bridge / saddles are made out of, and how much space the bridge takes up, the routing etc. -- that all has an effect on tone, even for electrics.
Well no I say that because epicloud was all open B except for divine I believe. As well as addiction which was Open B, and Ki, etc. He just hasn't played it much at all on new material.

Can't possibly change the tone, not the one that comes from the pickup. The acoustic tone probably yes, but who cares, is an electric guitar.
