Even with all of it's glaring flaws, I really love "Fate/Stay Night". This ending almost choked me up as much as "Fullmetal Alchemist" did, that's saying a lot. I was and still am really attached to these characters.
Indeed, I'm rewriting my story right now as I got writers block for a spot that I had forgot to write into the plot line(plot gap.) But the new version is definitely going to be better. Plus I found a way to bring the two even closer. I can't wait to have the time to write it out. :D

The F/SN 2006 has the best soundtrack fitting for Fate route, if they ever remake the Fate route, I hope they will include the original soundtrack from 2006 anime, and also, add the true end epilogue scene from the realta nua.

Studio deen take the blame of having awful animation. Blame the first movie that flop so hard and thus no budget for s3. Studio deen has created a decent amount of anime with good animation.

Compared to the new adaptation and spin off, this might be bad but at the time that this was shown, this was basically the catalyst that made a lot of people be aware of the fate universe, this ending really made me cry when i watch this, how heartwrenching it was when saber said “i love you” to Shirou as she was disappearing...
This fate anime was the first one I ever watched and it will always have a special place in my heart because of saber and shiro being together again in Avalon but I still wish that the developers made this anime with ufotable to make it a better anime as it was before

This is a beauty that Fate/zero fanboys will never appreciate. Fate/zero was an evolution or another side of a story. But everyone that started with Zero and after that went to the Stay Night will never appreciate the beauty of it. They just want shiny shit happening on screen 24/7. They never had to wait years for another fate animation to come also, so they are quick to judge.
I watched Zero, then 2006, then UBW. Gotta say though, fate zero is extremely difficult to compare to. While it does have the added bonus of god-tier animation and essentially a film budget, the true highlight of Zero is the plot and characters. The added level of complexity and the overall development is just done so outstandingly well. Fate 2006, despite suffering from many flaws, is still a very enjoyable anime, just can't really compare to Zero
Fate/Zero as an anime is by far the best Fate, the maturity of its plot and characters are on a completely different level, its storytelling continuosly involves every Master and makes you "live" the story as a real battle royale, you become aware of the ideals and the intentions of each character and you can cheer for the one that fits you the most instead of just watching the 2/3 protagoinsts doing 90% of the fights. Also the plot it's pretty dark, it isn't an anime that you watch if you just want "shiny shit happening". Nevertheless I have to say that, even if Fate/Stay Night 2006 is not a good adaptation of the Fate route, its last episode (this episode) is probably the best in the whole series

And he is right although he was betrayed by his ideal, he can't save everyone he abandons a lot of things,he can't become a Super Hero. And in the end, he never changed his life but he never give up, he still walks alone day by day year by year. If Archer still walks into the hell and hopes one day he has a chance to kill Shirou, Shirou's fate route still walk alone hope to see Saber again. He is not like Shirou in UBW has Rin besides, he is not like Shirou in HF who can watch blossom with Sakura in the end. He doesn't have anyone besides he just has a Betrayed Ideal and the love for Saber. When I hear F/SN 2006 ending 1 Anataga Ita Mori-Jyukai I can imagine the character in this song is Shirou.And when I read Last Episode before I realized my tear was rolling down my face and when Shirou said "TADAIMA SABER", and Saber cried and said "OKAERINASA SHIROU" I cried like a kid AHGGGGGG. Not knocking the other two, but I just felt the pure emotional impact of that storyline was the best to me.
Arturia and Shirou may have not known each other as long as Sakura and Shirou, but within the 2 weeks they were together, they experienced more with each other than most lovers experience in a life time. Arturia + Shirou = Best End. Tragic, yet beautiful.
Ik the fans are split over this particular adaption of the Fate Route...but u gotta admit they did do the emotional level justice....The Fate route is the journey of acceptance and growth of Shirou and Saber by helping each other and eventually falling in love...but alas fate has other plans and they are separated...but neither one has regrets....they will reunite in Avalon.... plus that Lion toy at the end😫😊😫 Now please Excuse me while I go watch Carnival Phantasm and What’s cooking in the Emiya Household to heal my broken heart due to this vid lol
