  • New show - . . . the thing that sucks is this tape that I was given/borrowed/never paid for/ no one ever asked for it back, is that - there are no DATES given, only locations (Circle In The Square and Arcadia). That's it. So I looked online, found some concert history stuff and made a judgement call - whatever. The point is it is AWESOME footage. So this is the Arcadia show, which may or may not have occurred on October 10, 1987. I just FUCKING wish I would have been there because I worshipped "Power Metal" long before I worshipped "Cowboys", just sayin . . .
UPDATE: no it was a show on July 2, 1988. Long story but I think that is the correct date . . . sorry for the fuck up. Wish someone would have written the fucking date on the tape in the first place!

Great track, great performance. Wonder if Phil ever reflected on the lyrical content of this one later in life...? ha. Probably the real reason he buried PM.

If that's the show I think it is, I was there with my brother up in the balcony.

You wouldnt happen to know who was filming this?

@@mikepatterson437 No. As I said, we were up in the balcony section. This is the first time since I've seen any video of that show.
And I have to qualify again; if this is the Arcadia show we were at, this was about the time in their career they would start to blow up. It also reminded me that this was one of the few, possibly last, times my brother and I went together to show. He passed away in '20. I forget what it was officially, but it wasn't Charlie Victor 1-Niner.
I wish he was still here for a million better reasons, but it would have been funny to hear his reaction if he saw this video and what he remembers that night.
If you're into old Pantera footage, there might be some video here on YT when they played Joe's Garage in West Fort Worth. That's the place I saw them quite a few times at. They had a rotation of places in the DFW area they played at often and Joe's was one of them.

Would love to know because it's possible they filmed some other shows that no one else has seen yet

@@mikepatterson437 Just search Pantera Joe's Garage Fort Worth or Basement Dallas. Those were the two main places they played back in the day.

glad they went the way they did. i gotta take the cfh side over pm. but if it wasn't for pm we wouldn't have cfl, vdp, fbd, gst, & rts, and maybe dime would still be alive but not as popular.
