If I remember correctly mycelium does do good with light just as other organisms it's only certain strains such as button mushrooms that require darkness during colonization
Hello yes that is true we have seen from our testing that light is beneficial even in the mycelium stage for certain types of mushrooms. Thank you for sharing with us.
It turned out well! They are a special kind of mushroom so we couldn't show the end results here. The Walden Tent for mushrooms and all of our mushroom lighting have helped increase yields and antioxidant levels of fungi substantially compared to not using lighting or using non mushroom specific spectrum lights.
All of the above! I would checkout Peak Microgreens on Instagram @peakmicrogreens that is using our lights in their setup and they are seeing everything improve across the board!
Glukova's research has indicated that green LEDs can increase dry weight of the mushroom fruit bodies by 1.6x See her team's publicly available paper titled Increased mycelial biomass production by Lentinula edodes intermittently illuminated by green light emitting diodes (2014)
Hello and thanks for the question. We definitely recommend our T5 22W Mushroom Strip Lights that are available here: www.activegrowled.com/hydroponic-supplies/22w-t5-4ft-horticultural-strip-light-blue-sun-spectrum/

In what sense is blue light better? Fruit faster? Bigger yield? More nutrients?

Do mushrooms need light 24/7?
We generally recommend a 12 hour a day light cycle for mushrooms to grow healthy.
What blue light product(s) do you recommend for mushrooms?

Blu Tack with Ray Tracing RTX
Cubensis doesn’t even really need light.. they will still grow…
Light will make them better though
