Great story, thanks for sharing. Amazing photos. Crazy how that glacier looked flat until the plane turned a different angle and you could see the huge crevices there!
Thanks Bryon! Yes those glaciers are crazy, they will scare ya climbing on them. So many chances to fall and go out of sight and gone for ever. Some are hundreds of feet thick. 😱
My one and only ram came on day 8 of a solo hike in trip, it was fun and a learning experience, but there’s something to be said about having the company of a good partner lol. I did have my pack dog though, which helped a lot.
I used a thermarest neo air pad, the short one that only goes to just below my knee, the bag I use and love is the Montbell super spiral 800 down hugger #1 15 deg. I love it because I can raise my knee inside the bag with the spiral stitching that stretches'.
Magnificent country. Truly sheep country. Lucky guy.
Thank you!

Congratulations, yes it becomes a mental game on a long solo hunt. I need to find a partner so I don't have to go solo again lol
SOLO! Ahh that's awesome! Congrats. I just did a 68 mile solo goat hunt this year and was also successful.

I sent you a message on face book, I'm happy to help in any way I can.
How did you do?
I'm not on Facebook much, I'll check it out. I have the late tag, Oct 1-10. So I'm watching the clouds and snow line wondering how this is gonna go...
Nice 💪🏼
